Being a new mom to twin girls (who just turned 7 months today), one thing I'm doing for myself is making an effort to eat 3 meals a day. That is really hard for me to do since they've been born. I was on maternity leave for about 6 months and once I got to work I started drinking water consistently again. So now I am making an effort to not forget about eating as well. Us moms do consume ourselves into our babies, but we cannot forget about our health and well being overall. Kuddos to you for taking the initiative to allow yourself to wake up and get cute because it makes YOU feel good overall. That's my next step! Go Maya!!

I love how y’all raise your daughter to be in her own element, it’s refreshing to see and ask gives me a deeper appreciation of life. My 11 month old daughter is just like this but I live in Arizona so not much green grass lol but I don’t let that stop her

I loved this video. I am also rediscovering my own interest to create more self care and balance in my life as a mom of a toddler. I’ve recently started swimming, going to a centre & doing laps for 30-45 minutes, I’ve also been working out consistently for the first time in my life going on 5 months! & reading, I’ve always loved reading so I’ve started picking up my book more frequently. It feels great to feel like I can take care of my daughter, be a wife, dog mom & also take care of myself! ❤️
@@trecyngu5946 my husband and I both agree it is important to take care of self so we work with each other to create time for the other to prioritize that. We are better partners, parents, friends when we prioritize ourselves too
@@trecyngu5946 Also, to mention I go by the 30 minutes of movement a day. So it may seem like these activities require a lot of free time but you only need 30 minutes and I do a lot of at home workouts! You can do it too!

doing a walk in the morning listening to Jim Rohn and Napoleon Hill. the rule is I can go as far and as long as I want. its so freeing and helped me get my mental health in order. When I get home, I tackle the tasks of the day. Feels good to put myself and my needs first in the morning.
I just gave birth 15 weeks ago to a healthy baby girl. I recently moved to Ghana 🇬🇭 from 🇺🇸 so I’m away from everything familiar. I live on the out skirts of the city and am building a few hours away in the village. I’ve just got to the point where I wake up and water our outside garden then hula hoop for 10 minutes. That alone has tremendously changed my life. It’s sparked my creativity and is aiding in getting my juices flowing. Those two are the main physical things I do in gratitude daily for the most part. If I don’t hoop I’ll make up for it by dancing. Thanks for sharing

I'm a mother of a 5month old and a 6 years old. It has been really really challenging specially when you're all alone and have no help from family members. I'm still nursing so I don't feel like going back to the workout life yet but to take care of myself and makes me feel food is when I have the "time"to blow dry my hair 😊. I've tried like you Maya to keep my hair curly but i do not have time to take care of it and it ends up like a disaster it's super knot. I really don't know how curly hair girls do to keep they curls and not get knotted. Cause if you brush it the curls disappear. I feel like to have to wet it everyday after brushing it to keep the curls 🤔

just a thought, but you had a vid when you first moved there of you and max biking. Have you considered going on a bike ride with saga. It's a workout AND an adventure. And it doesn't really feel like a workout. I've been biking alot lately since covid and it also help with reducing stress.

I finally grew my curly hair to my lower back but cut it short after my son was born because he kept pulling on it, it kept getting in the way when I was trying to put him to sleep, and when it reached its “almost dreadlocks” phase, it was too much maintenance lol. All those years of waiting for it to grow and once it finally did, I decided I couldn’t be part of the long hair gang no mo 😅
