he said there were about 50 people who worked on this project meaning over half have quit/moved on and theres probably like 5 to 10 still really wanting to build it, and maybe he has wanted to move on with those 50 ppl but cant cus its his server his project and he is the one who started it, it would be quite rude of the others to take over and claim it was their project
Considering the map file is open for download I don't know why you think he's stopping them

I think it can be finished before 2018.
Here is an idea:
Let people at MC Planet or MC Forum work in a modular way, somebody making a certain part of the map, and the full map would be on one of the builders's PC, where he/she would put the finished pieces together.
So nobody would have to pay for a server anymore and everybody could help.
You were a team of 16. (as i've seen in the description)
Now think about 100 people from MC Planet/Forum making smaller sections of the map. It would be done in no time.
Just sit back, relax and let everybody else finish it.
We respect your decision of quitting.
And yes, is on a positive note, because new builders could learn more about map making and at the same time help finishing this project.

I've been watching a lot of these through out the progress of the entire build. It's sad to see it end but at the same time It's amazing and will always been remembered to many.

This map also brings back good memories for me. I can still remember watching the livestreams on twitch in January/February 2015. Proud of everyone that worked on this, such a great project with great memories. Thanks to everyone involved. Keep up the good work. :)

@notblokods no you stupid he had a group of 50 building the map on a server and liek 10 of them still want to add to the map
@notblokods would be easy to do daily save files to rollback, so long as he could pay for the cloud storage or his own external harddrive to put the save files on
At the same time everyone has the map files. Host your own damn servers!

Hi N11cK I remember watching you stream when you started this project, I was working on my Minecraft - Star Wars film. It's now 4 years in development and 3/4 of the film is now finished. Had a break for a year.... as you know it can send you crazy. Hoping to try and get the film finished this year. Cheers and thanks for the inspiration.

you realise they have to code for hours every day. the are working the best they can. also they have to put in at least 100 scripts and the entire game takes much longer than a minecraft map.

This map is the best map of minecraft they deserve a award for this
LUKKY But they have tools that can create mountains and terrain instantly, for this they had to build the terrain by placing individual blocks its a lot of work.
@@tombrady8873 Rockstar might have tools but it still took them years to make their map. Tools can create terrain but for every building, object and shadow all kinds of maps and textures need to be made plus all that stuff needs to be optimized. It's a lot of time and effort.
