Dudeee I love that what you are doing i am watching all of the bootcamp videos and you are such a nice guy and not interrupt your guest while they are talking keep it up homie
So glad that you guys made this video. I start the SE program on 3.29 and I had soooooooo many questions. You all covered everything. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Meh. I'm glad I went but I felt like 80% of what we went through I'd already taught myself. However, having it on my resume has been beneficial 60% of the time.
This was awesome and very insightful. I just got my acceptance email for General Assembly in NYC and I'm super excited and nervous at the same time. This gave me a great idea as to what to expect on this new journey! Thank you so much for this.
Congratulations! I remember getting accepted into a coding bootcamp. That moment is really exciting. I'm sure you're going to do well. I'd love to hear how it goes.
@@DonTheDeveloper Thank you ! I'm really determined to be as successful as all of you are now ! lol and "drink the kool-aid" as they said and put in the work ! 🙌🏾
This has been so very helpful as I plan to start bootcamp at GA in May. Now I have an idea of what to expect and some of what I need to get familiar with before I even start the course. Thanks to all of you!
Nice! I was accepted a couple of days ago, but I feel I haven't explored all my options yet so I'm scrambling for information, watching all these videos and applying to every bootcamp. It's a commitment and I'm really worried about making the right choice.
@@jessicaann9290 It's a scam. They don't teach you anything different than something that you can find on google or youtube for free. The instructors are not helpful. You will end up with a huge amount of debt and no job. I regret the day I signed up for this bootcamp. I've read many bad reviews about them but it was too late for me.
Do you plan on doing an updated video for GA like you did for Hack Reactor? It seems the prices have gone up 1,000's of dollars and the quality of many camps has gone down. I feel like the increased cost isn't justifiable if the course is completely online over a zoom call. Are they still worth it in this current environment?
GA doesn’t seem to have as rigorous of an interview/application process anymore. I did the Dash prework and then had a short talk with the “interviewer” and I kinda got the feeling he didn’t even look at my pages.
does anybody know if general assembly is beginner friendly? I have no knowledge of any of this type of stuff and have heard the best way ot get into learning is through a bootcamp
I’m guessing that it all depend’s what job you can actually get after you’re done. I have friend’s who have degree’s in SE and one of my friend’s works from home and he makes about $50k clean take home a year. My other buddy work’s for a SE development firm and he makes well over $150k clean take home a year.
Looking at their website, it looks like the coding immersive might be between $13,000 and $14,000. The prices can fluctuate, but I'd look at their website for more details.
Too long of a video. Honest opinions/reactions are great ( the psychology behind this video is perfect whether intentional or not ) but with out real content it gets boring quick. Hasn't persuade me away from wanting to join the academy; just giving my input on the video itself, definitely helped my decision to join.
I go to reddit for quick info, but I actually appreciate that some youtubers provide the full uncut content. this video was super helpful for me too as is.
Did anyone else have the same situation where the "counselor" said multiple times that the down payment was $100 but the down payment says it is actually $4,485? Did you guys pay for this? I'm just caught by surprise.

How was it? We’re you able to find employment after graduation?
I’m searching around for a Bootcamp and I think 🤔 I will choose GA. Thanks for this.

Wow, Sara is an overachiever. From concert pianist to teacher to software engineer!
I don't know how you leave the mouse pointer right on someone's face like that. 😂
I blame my upbringing.
Does anybody have any info on salary stats for GA graduates? They seem to hide that info whereas codesmith for example advertises it openly

All of the information I asked them is in that video. If you watched that video, you know all that I know.

Why not?
The girls took a women only subsidy so they have to talk abt it
