ALSO an update: I realized why the Mage in one of those rounds was immune to my hex, he had fake casted my shear literally like a second earlier and was playing: Precognition That PvP talent makes you immune to all CC and interrupt for 4 seconds as well as increases your haste by 15% if you fake an interrupt basically. All casters actually can get this PvP talent and I think its pretty underrated, especially if you're good at fake casting.
Love this stuff man, great content. Of these dps specs: ret/ww/ele which is the hardest to kill? I can't pre anything, and need a dps spec that doesn't flop as easy.
Hey I'm really glad you like this content! Hardest to kill out of those 3 in my opinion is probably the WW, purely because of transcendence teleport being so good on so many maps, and melee cleaves being so prevalent, being able to teleport out of a fight and then teleport back to your original location if you're playing that specific talent is very strong for kiting. Also their all around mobility is really really good for the meta right now. Ret tends to get kited pretty easily and they lack in defensives massively, being very centered around Bubble and Shield of Vengeance, they tend to drop really quickly. Ele however feels probably the tankiest out of the 3 specs, BUT falls to melee cleaves very fast if you aren't good at separating yourself from them/self peeling. Which with the current meta of melee cleaves, self peeling is very very hard as majority of melee have 3-4 abilities to close the gaps between you and them. With a teammate and good communication though, you should be able to kite/CC them to create a distance and allow yourself to sustain for a relatively long period of time as ele.
It's radiant decree from the palas you want to watch out for ;) Btw i only have my ele as an alt and I normally always play melee. Played three rounds of solo shuffle on ele before I quit. The melee train on ele is real and when you are not super comfortable on the class it's just way too stress
Oh yea Ret's big buttons hurt so bad lol. Radiant Decrees for over 200k and Final Reckoning for over 100k in 2 globals doesn't feel good LOL. Also thats great! Ele is a great caster to play, it is definitely one of the harder casters (contrary to popular belief) to play, as it does get trained majority of the time. I always say the more you play it and educate yourself using my videos or other good ele sham videos, the better you'll end up doing! Ele is like a good wine, the longer you've been playing, the wayyy better it gets. At first, kinda garbage feeling, but trust me, it's worth the practice :D
I don't have the patience to push ele in solo so I'm running 5 different heals around 1.2-1.5 just to fill my vaults and to run with my buddies when they have the time to run arenas. Been having a blast with ele in bgs tho. The videos have been fun to watch.

@@Grimlocked ele is my preferred spec, but I love healing too. Wish preservation had a few less binds so I could wrap my head around it, playing my evoker just makes me feel dumb. You keep rocking what you're doing. I'm comfortable being mid I got wrist issues and 3 kids pushing rating was for my wrath days. Now I just try to keep up as best I can, and prioritize having a good time with buddies rsther than caring about my rating.

That's going to be my next build guide I show off within the next week, I've been really waiting to try and get my 2-set tier piece first though because that adds an extra 25% to that damage LOL. I can't wait to show you guys the Secret Sauce. BUT in the mean time I will let it out, that it is an entirely meme spec and requires far too much set up to actually work in a logical arena, but you can definitely get it to work in a battleground and one shot people 100-0 with nothing they can do about it, so thats fun. LOL

Hey, i'm pretty new to shaman + first exp playing pvp more seriously and i have an issue playing against warrior. I feel like if they have an other melee it's instalose because when they charge me + static field thing i just get deleted even if i pop every defensive CD. So if you had any advice on how to deal with that i'd appreciate it. Keep up with the good content
Hey! Definitely hard to deal with melees with a bunch of mobility! Vs warriors specifically I really really suggest trying out the Unleash Shield pvp talent > Static field, it seems a bit more consistent for self pealing vs them. Basically the way it works is, if you have Earth Shield and Lightning Shield up, when you Unleash Shield it will knock back your target + root them when they land for 4 seconds, this is AMAZING vs warriors because they can't charge or leap while rooted but this also creates a bunch of space between you, rotating Unleash Shield, Thunderstorm, Earthgrab, and Earth Shock > Frost Shock for the Root from Surge of Power talent, you can make it very very hard for a warrior to train you down! I hope this helps and if it doesn't let me know! I'd be glad to figure out some further things to help you live vs warriors, they are super strong right now though so don't get discouraged! You're doing great!

@@Elriogranade Yea honestly recording has helped me grow as a player a bunch in the last couple of months, watching games back over you really pick out a bunch of things you can do way better in the long run. Like I realized in this video that the very first round shown where my Pres Evoker dies insta, I could have hex'd mage or pally free because the mage had CS'd my stormkeeper early on, and it would've forced a trinket OR they would've had to sit it because they didn't have a curse dispel besides mage but I dont think he was playing a curse dispel, OR I could've Lightning Lasso'd the pally to peel. But basically the only reason I know I could've done those things in that situation is because I recorded it and went over the recording a couple of times on the losses.

TrufiGCD! or Omnibar depending on which one! lol - Omnibar is the big cooldown tracker, TrufiGCD is every global they're pressing, I no longer use TrufiGCD outside of tracking my own button presses, and I only do this so when I record its easier for me to tell whats going on as well as for the viewer.
Been having a rough time around the 1700 realm of solo shuffle, cant seem to break 1800 as ele. Saw some other ele's suggest running both unleash and static field. Do you think this is viable? Not sure how I feel about losing skyfury. Also, are you using any sort of kick macros for the healer? I see you kick the heals multiple times without even clicking on them. Thanks for the guide!
Yes! I absolutely use Focus Kick macros: #showtooltip Wind Shear /cast [@focus] Wind Shear All you need bud, also I've never personally run unleash and static field, I think its a little redundant especially to lose such a high burst potential with skyfury, BUT it isn't bad technically and might be actually the move vs comps like DH DK or Demo Lock DK because of the amount of pets they have, being able to unleash say the DK off of you, and static field their pets away from them or Unleash the DH away, Static field the unleashed target away. BUT I don't technically think it is needed, I suggest seriously taking a look at how well you're kiting vs melee, look at my How to Survive Solo Shuffle video, and watch closely about how I play against the warrior in that breakdown. That's probably some of my best kiting in a video.
Also to note: Majority of the time when you thunderstorm something off of you, you can earth grab totem them, and this has a very very similar effect to static field. Imo earthgrab totem is actually better then static field because the slow remains on them even if they kill the totem, where as static field they turn to and kill it in 1 global and it's a wasted button. WITH THAT BEING SAID, I have seen some people run the Shaman talent that resets the CD of your previously casted totem, and use it for their static field totem so that they have 2 back to back in order to peel themselves vs melee CDs.

I haven't seen a lot of enhance BUT I think its actually pretty decent especially with how strong melee cleaves are in the Solo Shuffle meta, I feel like Enhance will pair well with DH, DK and Warrior so with those classes being so prevalent I don't see why enhance wouldn't feel good, they're just a bit squishy so you really have to focus on your survivability game as enhance as you'll still be the kill target with those comps.
Hey! Awesome question - Party Health is actually the current ingame UI, I just moved it into position where I like, set it to raid frames and class colors! Other addons though are Omnibar, Details (DPS Meter), Gladius (it wasn't really shown here), TrufiGCD which shows what abilities I press as I press them, shown under my healthbar/next to all my target, focus frames as well on what they're pressing.
I just struggle to survive when I have 2 melee on me every round. Stuck at 1.5k and it's frustrating me a lot. Every guide I see of Ele shaman their not even getting trained so idk. Like here ur literally allowed to free cast which never happens for me.
Thats fair, I create a lot of my own space to allow for free casting. I know its really hard to kite but you have to try and stay calm when getting trained, if you get used to being trained, you will eventually get better. You also have to pay attention to where you're walking when you kite, it's important you drag melee's behind LoS away from their healer, without even doing damage this applies pressure to the melee. Man I feel like rating is impossible to climb. Keep getting bad teammates. Lost 190 rating in 3 matches due to getting a low CR healer that goes 0-6 making you 3-3 every time. Solo really feels bad atm.
Its definitely a hard climb, but if you look at your mistakes > your teams mistakes, you'll grow much more as a player, try to focus on what you can do better. Its really hard without seeing it, so if you can record your games and go over them it will help you realize theres a bunch of things you can do.
@@Grimlocked Funny you mention that, I just started recording my games about 10 minutes ago! The hardest part for me is trying to peel for DPS that run LOS of our healer who happens to be CCed. That's my biggest challenge so far. I prefer being the "raid boss" of the match like you said where you can just kite and pump out the damage haha

How can you even get bad teammates? In solo shuffle you make no mistakes and everyone else is bad, wich should cancel out all the bad players, hence only good players play solo shuffle and no one makes mistakes
@@DH-ht9pl I don't exactly understand your question - BUT the way Solo Shuffle works, is the mmr is averaged out, so even at high rating, you'll end up getting someone lower rated thats won a lot recently, and someone thats higher rated thats lost a lot recently, making it so that you can both good AND bad players, yourself included. :)

You also have to pay attention to where you're walking when you kite, it's important you drag melee's behind LoS away from their healer, without even doing damage this applies pressure to the melee.

Man I feel like rating is impossible to climb. Keep getting bad teammates. Lost 190 rating in 3 matches due to getting a low CR healer that goes 0-6 making you 3-3 every time. Solo really feels bad atm.
Its definitely a hard climb, but if you look at your mistakes > your teams mistakes, you'll grow much more as a player, try to focus on what you can do better. Its really hard without seeing it, so if you can record your games and go over them it will help you realize theres a bunch of things you can do.
@@Grimlocked Funny you mention that, I just started recording my games about 10 minutes ago! The hardest part for me is trying to peel for DPS that run LOS of our healer who happens to be CCed. That's my biggest challenge so far. I prefer being the "raid boss" of the match like you said where you can just kite and pump out the damage haha

How can you even get bad teammates? In solo shuffle you make no mistakes and everyone else is bad, wich should cancel out all the bad players, hence only good players play solo shuffle and no one makes mistakes
@@DH-ht9pl I don't exactly understand your question - BUT the way Solo Shuffle works, is the mmr is averaged out, so even at high rating, you'll end up getting someone lower rated thats won a lot recently, and someone thats higher rated thats lost a lot recently, making it so that you can both good AND bad players, yourself included. :)
