Columbia Ave RR Crossing, Dumont NJ (6/4/23)

This video was at the Columbia Ave RR Crossing in Dumont NJ along the CSX river line. This crossing was recently upgraded from a classic Conrail signal on the left and a newer CSX signal on the right, which was reused in Haverstraw NY after a truck was hit knocking down the signal. Now it is all modern CSX signals with WC Hayes Leoteck EV series LEDs and NEG E-bells. The gate mechs are Siemens with NEG LED gate lights. I am surprised that there is now a cantilever here, but it has something to do with visibility. CSX is putting pedestrian crossing platforms next to the crossing and they are currently waiting to get it approved and get grants from the NJ department of transportation. Thats why the pedestrian signals are still out of service, and it could be a little while. I will continue to update this crossing.
