(I'm an atheist) I honestly don't know. I guess many people in the Czech Republic probably don't care, or are unsure.
Well the Czechs had their own protestant reformation before the "official" one done by Martin Luther. They were brutally suppressed by the Holy Roman Empire and were forced to become catholic again, or die for being "Heretics". Additionally, they were occupied by the Nation that did that to them for hundreds of years after. Now iam not positive if this is the reason that they're so atheist, but I would imagine it plays a big role in why they are.

Not accurate, almost everyone in China prays and leaves offerings at temples and stuff, it’s just that most people practice multiple religions and don’t identify as one. Same with Japan. As for North Korea, they have an official religion called Cheondoism as well as a lot of Buddhists and Christians, and most Estonians follow paganism to some extent.

It's good to remember that "irreligious" doesn't mean "rationally guided atheist" (or something similar). As an example, Japanese people are extremely superstitious, as are Chinese (needless to say their beliefs make any animal whether a love potion or a "medicine").
Sometimes (sometimes) formal, traditional religions act as a dam to all sorts of bogus deeply fool beliefs, because they occupy the space that otherwise all sorts of ideas (born out of the magic thinking) would.
All Japanese people I’ve met practise a mixture of shintoism and buddhism in their daily lives, even if they don’t realize it

I'm a japanese and I don't think so that many japanese are atheists, our thoughts of relgion has specific than another countries, many Japanese don't join specify relgions, it's correct, however most people belive that we are living with many gods absolutely. We think that there are many gods and live in each areas because of Shinto * folk belief * Therefore we didn't have any ideas that jojn any religions until 20 century, i suppose that it's hard to compare with the countires that have atheism.

We Chinese people also have local religions and foreign religions. In fact, believers can be found in various religions around the world in China. The Chinese Constitution and laws both respect and protect freedom of religious belief. However, the religious views of the Chinese people are different from yours. What we truly believe in is only history and ancestors. China also has a mythological system and local religions, but there is no position for any god in Chinese culture. I'll give you an example, foreigners will understand. I am a student and will have an exam tomorrow. I will hurry to visit the temple tonight and pray for the blessings of the Buddha. Before that, I have never been to a temple. The next day, I did well in the exam and had a big meal with my friends, forgetting about Buddha. One of the most technical advanced countries for it's time was Germany in WW2, and they were pretty religious as well as the scientists.
Another example is the Islamic gold age. Where technology advanced like never seen before and every since scientist and person involved in it was a devout muslim
