Calipers are on the wrong sides... bleeder screws go to the top always. And if you need extra clearance for the master cylinder you could run it turned 90 degrees via a bell crank
Did you try to see if you could flip the wheels? You'd have to remove the valve stem, weld up the hole, and relocate it on the other side of the rim, but it would give you an even wider stance, and it might clear the calipers and spindle. Just a thought.
If you move the calipers to the rear of the wheel it will protect it from damage. At the vary least switch the right to left that will put the bleaders at the top.
Ya I get it but you can switch them side to side that would get your bleeder back on top. They will need some protection front end collision Not that that would ever happen.
Swop sides with the spindles. Calipers and lines should be to the back side of the wheel and the bleeder at the top. With the bleeder that the bottom makes it harder to get the air out.
Hey red beard loving the build it looks badass can't wait to see it on the trails. Also love the new intro music you never disappoint when it comes to great video's keep up the good work and happy new year to you and your family and god bless.
Red beard, you should consider building a single seater full suspension off road go kart using your tube bender and the 670 suspension as a donor. I think you could hit it big and sell them as a kit!
i used to do that and have had two bearings fail because of overtightening. Now i just make sure there is no side to side slop, and lock-tite the nut in, that is unless it has an internal spacer, then you can tighten it up. Just my 2 cents. I bet you would get to your top speed .00001 seconds faster if they free spun?!?!
You should put the calipers on the back of the disc. Two reasons, the bleeder screw would be at the top so you could actually bleed the brakes and the brake line won’t be out in front to catch on crap. Also can you turn the wheel around instead of using spacers.
Man I'm excited already!!!! lol I can't wait for you to do the cv axles that would be the high light for me I don't need to say it but..... your the man!!!!!kmsl from freewheels in Shreveport
I honestly would’ve started grinding and designed a different steering knuckle design but just cause it would be the cheaper route but bad ass build love the builds can’t wait to start on mine
First time watching, subscribed after watching one video. You guys rock! I used to race minicup 1/2 scale grand national cars and want to turn it into off road someday.
I like the start of the vid it like a soup my mom watch as the world turns lololo. Also on the caliber the bleeder should be moved to the top they could be swapped . Hay I enjoy watching you post and they getting better every time. the one you did about refinding your faith was good keep that up . it amazing how that works out . love you keep up the good work .
Great video I have a old Carter brothers trail hunter IAM working on .Just wondering what the front track width is ball joint to ball joint ,and do those ball joints sit at that angle once rider is in kart or do they straighten up ? Thanks for the time you take in these videos .Also loved watching your Testimony !!
Happy New year Greg I looks like your next workshop tool needs to be a SUITABLE metal lathe so you can make all the spacers, and fittings you need mate?
Hi Greg My strong advice on a lathe is check out Keith Rucker - VintageMachinery.orgua-cam.com/users/ksruckerowwm you would be better to go for a good "Real" second hand Lathe than buy a new cheapie Keith has a decent workshop and he has an obsession of lathes , milling machines Shapers and so on they Just keep following him home he does a lot of machine work in his shop and I have learnt so much from him and check out his VintageMachinery.org under classified ads you might find one their ** Even Try PM him he might know of a good one that is available ** I bet it you put out a word on his channel and your own some one has or knows of some one with a good lathe to either donate to the cause OR could sell it to you for a decent price you could go with Aliexpress for a cheapie but some advice here they are small and only do small jobs if you want to make up a wheel spacer you will need at least a 7 inch lathe and esp if you are doing Custom work on Cars a Small table top lathe wont have the power to do real work as the motors Just dont have the Power to do so or the table length or chuck size you need here is a couple of links that also might help Just remember the Mini Lathes are usually only for light work for what you pay for one of those 500ish $ lathes you would be 1/2 way to a "Real " good second hand lathe .... www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20180101133526&SearchText=Metal+lathe+ www.alibaba.com/myproducts/recommend?spm=a2700.8293689.scGlobalHomeHeader.357.NHALC0&cateId=100007189&productIds=60040169937 Tony from Western Australia
Take the wheel off the rim and switch it around. Put the wheel on the rim backwards so the well of the wheel is on the outside. Then you won't have a problem with fitment and it makes it have a wider stance.
Looks like you have the breaks on the wrong side. Bleed screw needs to be on top to be able to bleed all the air out. Made this mistake and it took me days to figure out... You're welcome.
I hope you put the caliper on the opposite sides its installed upside down will have a hard time bleeding it like that lol and just cut the dang bolts and grind the ends instead of stacking a ton of washers
Put grease fittings in the heads of the bolts and then put a crash cap over them and you should be fine. Yes, I know that takes a little strength out of the bolts, but not enough to worry about. Otherwise, just get grade 8 or aircraft to make up for any imagined strength losses. I hope you are shielding those brake lines since you will likely crash into stuff being as they are on the leading edge and not the trailing edge. Too bad there is not a formed piece of steel tubing at the end to allow you to keep the hose hidden inside the lower a-frames.
Great new music on intro!! Looking good!! Should put a windshield on it. Maybe with nice horn to. Either way this thing is gonna look badass and is gonna be a beast!!
Pretty sure if you bump up to a 10 in rim you don't have to run a spacer in the front. These things tend to be wide enough in the front anyways. I run 11 inch rims on my buggy but I'm lucky mine takes 4/110 bolt pattern front and rear. (most buggys seem to have different front and rear.) Common honda atv rim pattern so I got a set of factory take offs for free. On mine I run 4+3 offset in the front and 2+5 in the rear. Got a set of 2 inch spacers for the rear to to make it match the front.
Did you like the yurf dog 670 go kart side by side as much as the manco deuce 670 side by side both builds are badass you should build another yurf dog 670 and a manco deuce 670 for side by side rides
Yo RED BEARD great job on the suspension on the 670 had similar issues with my custom build still tweaking all the kinks . But I need that 780s clutch just so I can feel the full power of this 670 . Took this thing I and I 5 girls all fit on this crazy creation of mine and with the 40 series down here on these bumpy Texas bayous it actually performed great heck we made it back with just a couple broken welds. I'll take that any day. Let us know when the new clutch will be available in would like to bolt it on . Be blessed Jah Rastafari
I know this is old but was the rim deeper on way that n the other? It looked like it plus I'm still watching this in 2021 : D If so could you have just flipped the rim maybe?
did you think about reversing the tires to allow for more access and clearance for the tire without the rim and tire from hitting the caliper and spindle??
You should try flipping the wheels right to left, they may be offset. Also, your calipers are on the wrong sides... bleeders go up or else you wont be able to bleed properly! Nice work nonetheless
(RED BEARD!) MAN YOUR EXPERTISE IS AWESOME! 😎👌,. Please KEEP doing what your doing. What are your thoughts on the Duromax 18 horse motors for 379.oo ? Trying to compensate enough horse power for my 160 pound 11 year old Boy. Would that be enough?
Pus pacers between the calipers and knuckles to space the whole brake assembly out. Would be less ghetto and wouldn't put so much load o the wheel bearings.
Very true. Didn't think about that. Can't wait for it to be completed to see what it can climb/go threw.
I love that you add parts lists to every video
14:38 Just to let you know you should have the bleeder valve at the top of the caliper, you're currently putting the left caliper on the right wheel!
You should move the bottom of the front shocks up one notch on the lower aarms to actually lift it
Haha thanks for calling me out bro!
Build is looking great!
Man I wish I lived by you...I would be there as often as I could help'n out...I LOVE THIS SHIT BRO...
Lol im always needing help
p.s. brake bleeders go to high point of caliper when mounted !
These kits are made for the caliper to be on the front. I don't really want to cut the new knuckles up to move them to the back right now
Ya I get it but you can switch them side to side that would get your bleeder back on top. They will need some protection front end collision Not that that would ever happen.
If you switch side to side have to address steering but I agree should be in back of knuckle.
Switching just the caliper right to left will not create any steering problems.
Swop sides with the spindles. Calipers and lines should be to the back side of the wheel and the bleeder at the top. With the bleeder that the bottom makes it harder to get the air out.
Brake bleeder goes on top! It won’t let the air out that way!
I own a Yerf Dog Spiderbox 3209 too! I LOOOVE the Yerf Dog videos! Keep it up!
Best beginning yet!
+Frank Sullivan thanks man
Things looking like a beast
man you love those coleman wrenches you use them all the time in you're vids
Modify the A arms with heim joints that will also make them adjustable. Bleed screws should always be on top above the break line connection.
We actually have some large heim joints laying on the table lol. We was going to make it adjustable and it actually didn't need it after all
Hey red beard loving the build it looks badass can't wait to see it on the trails.
I love that song in the beginning
Awesome video man!
I have the same spider box yerf dog just sitting in my garage collecting dust. You make me wanna fix mine.
It'd be cool to put a roll cage on that sucker, looks sick can't wait for the future vids on this✌👍
That's really coming along great Y'all .
What a arms did you have to use to upgrade to bigger shocks? Also where did you get aftermarket knuckles?
I think you need to trade sides with the calipers so that the bleeder is on top.
It was just for fitment testing
Congratulations!!! Very, very good!!!
Nice weld job👍
Awesome build man! I love it!
good vibes from dude with a red beard..lol
Ok time to get a yerf dog to do after I finish the one now
Bleeder screw on the calipers should always point up for air to escape.
It was just for fitment testing not to leave on
I didn’t realize it till I watched this video but the PO of my spider box put the ball joints in like y’all did at first
Dang RBG great vids!!! Keep em comin man!
13:20 break in over time? More like break over time. Let that free spin.
+KartFab new bearings are always stiff when new. I have always did my bearings that way and they have never failed me.
i used to do that and have had two bearings fail because of overtightening. Now i just make sure there is no side to side slop, and lock-tite the nut in, that is unless it has an internal spacer, then you can tighten it up. Just my 2 cents. I bet you would get to your top speed .00001 seconds faster if they free spun?!?!
Lol every .00001 counts
Lmfao 😂😂
I thought they were gonna start beefin
I love that go cart keep it up redbeard
You should put the calipers on the back of the disc. Two reasons, the bleeder screw would be at the top so you could actually bleed the brakes and the brake line won’t be out in front to catch on crap. Also can you turn the wheel around instead of using spacers.
These are made to have the calipers on the front. I would have to cut and weld on new ears and I think they will be fine on the front of the wheels
Red Beard's Garage then swap the calipers side to side.
If you could put a torque converter on the flywheel side of the engine you could double the belt grab size.
it was beautiful
Man I'm excited already!!!! lol I can't wait for you to do the cv axles that would be the high light for me I don't need to say it but..... your the man!!!!!kmsl from freewheels in Shreveport
Thanks for watching man

you are very good, we are together and I like your channel
Nice work boys!
Lookin good, man.
Thanks for the support and watching the videos. We have a ton coming out this year so stay tuned brother
This is an awesome build. Where did the new front knuckles come from?
buggy depo
Mantap bang .👍😊🙏
Great video I have a old Carter brothers trail hunter IAM working on .Just wondering what the front track width is ball joint to ball joint ,and do those ball joints sit at that angle once rider is in kart or do they straighten up ? Thanks for the time you take in these videos .Also loved watching your Testimony !!
Thats the way they sit. After riding it some they still ride like that. Thanks for watching the Testimony video man means a lot
You're content is always good I like you're videos better than any other youtuber
I appreciate that man
Looks great!
Do you have a parts list break down that you could post
Its in the description of the video
Facepalm. Thanks for all the work Greg!
Try pushing your welds. Instead of pulling them you will get a cleaner and stronger weld
He shouldnt have welded that bulkhead solid across top. Now it has no flex on that frame gonna start tearing.
Happy New year Greg
I looks like your next workshop tool needs to be a SUITABLE metal lathe so you can make all the spacers, and fittings you need mate?
Yeah I have been on the look out for a smaller table top lathe. Hopefully I will find a good deal on one soon
Hi Greg My strong advice on a lathe is check out
Keith Rucker - VintageMachinery.orgua-cam.com/users/ksruckerowwm
you would be better to go for a good "Real" second hand Lathe than buy a new cheapie Keith has a decent workshop and he has an obsession of lathes , milling machines Shapers and so on they Just keep following him home
he does a lot of machine work in his shop and I have learnt so much from him and check out his
VintageMachinery.org
under classified ads you might find one their
** Even Try PM him he might know of a good one that is available **
I bet it you put out a word on his channel and your own some one has or knows of some one with a good lathe to either donate to the cause OR could sell it to you for a decent price
you could go with Aliexpress for a cheapie
but some advice here they are small and only do small jobs if you want to make up a wheel spacer you will need at least a 7 inch lathe and esp if you are doing Custom work on Cars a Small table top lathe wont have the power to do real work as the motors Just dont have the Power to do so or the table length or chuck size you need
here is a couple of links that also might help
Just remember the Mini Lathes are usually only for light work
for what you pay for one of those 500ish $ lathes you would be 1/2 way to a "Real " good second hand lathe ....

Wow. Nice work
Take the wheel off the rim and switch it around. Put the wheel on the rim backwards so the well of the wheel is on the outside. Then you won't have a problem with fitment and it makes it have a wider stance.
Yeah I just wanted some wheel spacers anyways on this buggy
Front brake caliper is upside down. Bleeder valve should be on top. And you know this man....
Good music choice. Straight from the dudesons
I like this bulid alot
liike the new opening music
yall don't want none of them dirt in em ball joints 😂
That’s fucking awesome man great work love watching your videos learning lots of valuable information keep it up brother
Thanks for watching brother
Red Beard's Garage nice
Nice 👍🏼
Looks like you have the breaks on the wrong side. Bleed screw needs to be on top to be able to bleed all the air out. Made this mistake and it took me days to figure out... You're welcome.
Whoa you actually use vice grips, and not just for an dial indicator. 👏👏👏
Bleeder screw always on top. Tip for next time you build something..
Looks mean brother. Have a safe and happy new year, from my family to yours.
I hope you put the caliper on the opposite sides its installed upside down will have a hard time bleeding it like that lol and just cut the dang bolts and grind the ends instead of stacking a ton of washers
I already got smaller bolts & the caliper was just to test the fitment not install them for good
Thumbs behind the harness is very dangerous. You have to cross your arms OUTSIDE the harness, grab the opposite harness and pull tight.
Put grease fittings in the heads of the bolts and then put a crash cap over them and you should be fine.
Yes, I know that takes a little strength out of the bolts, but not enough to worry about.
Otherwise, just get grade 8 or aircraft to make up for any imagined strength losses.

+Scotty Hitchcock I want to put a window in it once the roll cage is on
A 5.3 is a ls ha it's the few of first ls motors .
Good job but I’m sure you noticed the break bleeders should be on top not the bottom
bubbles float to the top dumb ass
Looks good man. Rides heaps better. 👍
15:10 you could simply make the screw shorter.
Pretty sure if you bump up to a 10 in rim you don't have to run a spacer in the front. These things tend to be wide enough in the front anyways.
I run 11 inch rims on my buggy but I'm lucky mine takes 4/110 bolt pattern front and rear. (most buggys seem to have different front and rear.) Your beard looks so smooth
Really looking forward to the car stuff
You need a 10in rim for those tires, it'll look better and you can run larger tires
Meme at 11:54 when you see your wife agrees with you!!
Yo RED BEARD great job on the suspension on the 670 had similar issues with my custom build still tweaking all the kinks . But I need that 780s clutch just so I can feel the full power of this 670 . Are those longer tie rod ends and standoffs?
Yes sir
Red Beard's Garage where did you get the longer tie rod ends for it? I can't seem to find them anywhere
You just proved to me that you can never go to overboard
I know this is old but was the rim deeper on way that n the other? It looked like it plus I'm still watching this in 2021 : D If so could you have just flipped the rim maybe?

You should try flipping the wheels right to left, they may be offset. Also, your calipers are on the wrong sides... bleeders go up or else you wont be able to bleed properly! Nice work nonetheless
Thanks for the heads up but this was all for fitment and the bleeders will face down when we install them for good
RBG with all the moods on a 212 were do U gap the spark plug at
you should weld those lower shock mounts.
We are going to very soon
(RED BEARD!) MAN YOUR EXPERTISE IS AWESOME! 😎👌,.
Please KEEP doing what your doing.
What are your thoughts on the Duromax 18 horse motors for 379.oo ? Trying to compensate enough horse power for my 160 pound 11 year old Boy. Would that be enough?

lol amazing 1:38

Red beard when are you gonna do some more stuff with the 4 seater
In about a week just waiting on the body shop to get it in there to paint.
Hey man working on a yerf don’t do you really need ball joints though control arms or can you just run a bolt as well?
Hey RBG, what size front tire did you have on these and how thick of wheel spacers did you use? Building a spiderbox 3206 now.
Also, do you have a link for new rack and pinion? Thanks
Are you gonna do motor mods?? Performance670?
yeah we plan on doing a full engine build on the 670 soon
Can't wait to see it and nice build and I like the garage build on
the air bleed nipple should be up on the brake calipers!. maby wrong side?
Sorry for bad english ! 💪🏻
Bleeder valve and maybe tule those
It looks so mean high up like that
What steering kit do you have on it and where did you get it from
Sheet metal exterior and electric you got my money
Love the video
