I’ve owned them since the first day they came out and I am by far satisfied with the fit. Only thing is the cable can cause some ear pain after a few hours. If you try to add more bass it does distort quite easily, so a better solution is to cut the trebel and raise the mids for a more warm/flat sound. Awesome review as always!
They're a nice earphone. That's interesting about the bass, but it's generally a good practice to apply negative EQ if possible because it is less demanding on the amp. Glad you liked the review!
Hi Sasha, yes I actually reviewed it a little while back, but I don't have it anymore to compare them (I think I gave it away to a viewer). From memory, the Starfield has a more balanced signature with less treble emphasis, but it's also less exciting because it lacks the textural detail of the SSP. I'm not sure which I would choose because the Starfield is probably a less fatiguing earphone for longer or louder sessions, but the SSP was more fun and exciting so my heart would choose the SSP.
I can chime in a bit. A friend of mine owns both. From what he had been telling me, the SSP wins by far in fit and comfort. The bass is more musical and a touch less bloated on the T2, however it is very mid forward. Just some thoughts to hopefully make your decision a bit easier.
Bro what do think is better... Blon Bl-03 With Upgraded Tips & 8 Core Silver plated Cable? or KZ ZS10 Pro With KZ Silver 4 Core Cable? FUN IEM for long music sessions! Good Fit & non fatiguing. Good Bass but no Bleeding/overpowering...?
Hi Jeff, that's an interesting question. The SSP is basically the SSR with some bass. I think it's better than the SSR, but that's a matter of personal taste. It's definitely different enough from the BL03 and is worth owning with the BL03, but whether it's worth adding to your current collection depends on whether you want an IEM that sits in between your current two.
I don't recall the specific figures so it might not be identical to the BL-03, but it's certainly not hard to drive - I'm not sure why some people have that impression. You'll be fine with a phone 🙂🙂
I have a kz zsn pro and I like the highs but wish it weren't as harsh and I also wish that the bass and lower mids were better. I like to hear vocals too. In Yr opinion, wud the ssp be a good upgrade for me?
Hi Krayoz, I haven't heard the ZSN Pro so I can't be certain. What I can tell you is the SSP is excellent for the price if you want an earphone that leans towards a brighter overall sound, but isn't too thin and is also very smooth, but well textured in the highs. A couple of other options to consider are the Tin Hifi T2 Plus (fairly neutral) and BLON BL-03 (warmer sounding overall)
I definitely like it, but it's still a bit treble-forward so while the treble itself is refined and smooth, the overall tonality leans bright so it depends on what you're looking for.
To add to my previous comment, if you put a small piece of tape over the venting holes on the stems, it does significantly increase the bass. Will it be to your fancy depends on your taste ;). I’m actually working on something that reduces the treble peak for the SSP/SSR. Thanks!
No. Your understanding of the SSR is incorrect. The upper midrange is forward but the upper treble is recessed and insufficient. Overall, the SSR is diffused and neautral. The technical prowess, specifically the speed and decay, is second to none at under EUR50.
Thanks for this review sir. And also can you help decide which of this iem suits for listening music (acoustic and love songs), watching movie and playing games. This will be my first iem hehe So i have a $30 budget and i found a online shop here in our country. Blon 03 for $20 Moondrop ssr for $20 Moondrop ssp for $30 Tin hifi t2 plus for $30 Which of this four that suits my need and is more fun to listen and easy to drive cause i'll be using my mobile phone for this. Thanks in advance 😁
I'd probably go with the T2 Plus for your needs. The Blon BL03 would be my second choice, but I think the T2 Plus will suit the acoustic music better and will do everything else well too
@@PassionforSound thank you sir. I also put those moondrop cause i watch movie while lying down aswell haha.. anyway those four still need to burn in right? (Not sure if i use the right term 😅) #newsubbedhere 😁
Yes, right term. Most dynamic drivers will benefit from burn in, but it's not always a big deal. Only certain designs need lots of time and I haven't found any of these to be that demanding of burn in. Thanks for subbing! 😁
How can IEMs have a soundstage? Every IEM I have used has the sound coming from inside my head. Which iem's has the sound appearing to come from outside your head.
It's still a soundstage. The placement and size of the soundstage changes, but so long as there is some impression of sounds in a space, there's a soundstage so any stereo setup will create a version of a soundstage
@@PassionforSound sound stage an is imaginary three-dimensional space created by the high-fidelity reproduction of sound in a stereo speaker or headphones. Which iem's give a significant three-dimensional space.
Shozy Form 1.4, Sennheiser IE900, Shure SE846, FitEar TG!, Ikko OH10, Shure KSE1200, BLON BL-03 & BL-01 to name a handful. Any stereo source creates a soundstage to some degree (some better, some worse). It's definitely different from speakers or open headphones, but there should still be a sense of 3D space even if the stage is confined within the head. If you're not hearing this with a decent IEM, I'd suggest the source is the culprit, not the IEMs. For example, the Chord Mojo produces an excellent stage with the IEMs I just listed, but the Tempotec Sonata HD Pro didn't so much. Not picking on the Sonata - just using it as an example of source influence.
@@PassionforSound thanks I'll make a note of them and do some research. Also some people are recommending moondrop star field and Final A3000 and A4000. Do you have any thoughts on these. Have you thought of doing an IEM tier list at some stage?
It's unlikely I'll do an IEM tier list because the number of products available is overwhelming and constantly growing. My experiences in the area are a drop in the ocean compared to what's available. I've reviewed the Moondrop Starfield here on the channel, but I haven't tried the Final IEMs your mentioned.

@@PassionforSound Gotcha, well explained comparison, thanks for the reply!
You're welcome
How do they compare to tin t2 what i consider best value to sound performance and recommend to friends.
Hi Steve, I haven't heard the T2, only the T2 Plus. Perhaps someone else can answer...

Sorry that I can't help you, but I'd need to try both IEMs with the specific cables you mentioned in order to have any chance at that one.
@@PassionforSound it's alright!

I hope i do get an info. On this 😆

I already got the blon bl03 and the ssr. Would buying the ssp still benefit me? Again, great video dear sir!

Hey I didnt liked KZ DQ6, what would fit me bl03 or ssp
It depends on what you didn't like about the DQ6, but both BL03 and SSP are great

If Moondrop just added 5db to 20hz-1k to the ssr that would definitely be better than this
