Seeing that Grogu can live 900+ years, it's cool for him to choose Mando cause he can spend good dad time. He can take up Jedi training later. By who IDK but we only get 1 dad, really.
Yeah I feel like The case with grogu being he was a Jedi that was hidden during order 66, there could be other Jedi out there. Cal kentis could still coming to the picture anytime as well. There's definitely room for new Jedi to continue the story!

All the teen mods were surplus to requirements IMO - the shiny new bikes made no sense in the setting (as per Stevens comments a few episodes ago) and their scenes/acting seemed really flat ...lots to love about the series though apart from that 👍
Grogu going back made sense to me. He’s a Mandalorian foundling. He never struck me as a Jedi. Both of them want to make sure the other is safe. Grogu also had WAY more training in the Jedi ways than Luke. If he remembers, he will be just as helpful to Din as the reverse. He may also teach Din how to wield the Darksaber. Also, it feels like you forgot what you said last episode. This is all Star Wars and these timeline shows are interconnected. They are culminating in a big finale event.
what I don't understand is why he can't be both a Jedi and a Mandalorian. the guy that made the Darksaber managed to be both, the Mandalorians seem to hold him in high esteem so he must've followed their creed but he still managed to be a full fledged Jedi.
@@Eclipsed_Embers he can be, but Luke expressly told him to choose. Luke going down that path that sets him up for failure later. I think Grogu will find his own path to walk between the two.
Maybe grogu with be self-taught? He could be trained by a Mandalorian to fight like them, and then get trained by a Jedi to train in the force and get Din’s darksaber? Grogu is gonna live a long life, so it makes sense on to him picking Din. So he can train as Jedi when Din dies, maybe.
@@aaronbarlow4376 he’s the same age as Anakin and older than Ashoka. If he was brought in as a youngling before Anakin was and trained by many masters, then yes he’s had way more training. Can just imagine Luke being super petty. "Oh so you don't want the lightsaber of famed master Yoda? yeah fine fine... cool cool cool... R2! Get the damn ship ready. Upset no? Just trying to start an academy and my first student just quit for a shiny vest. Whatever..." xD
@@antonbrakhage490 if anyone should know anything about attachment and no attachment, you'd think it would be Luke. he was forced to leave everything behind at the drop of a hat, and he's the son of the man who just couldn't let go. THAT is the way concepts are worded, and made play with one another, when writing things like this.
The jump into Mando's arms was a heart killer. I screamed happy joy and tears were coming on strong. What a great scene in such a chaos. 💕💕💕💕 Glad Cad Bane is dead, finally. Grogu has time to become a jedi, he wants to be with his dad. It's just a heart warming story, very star wars.
At the end of the day it was Grogu's choice. And he chose family instead of training to be a jedi. But I've a feeling it's not the end of Luke and grogu. He might go back when he's older. He's still technically a baby. He just wants to be with his dad. Ep 5-7 were so good.
I think Luke’s “no attachments” thing is just a special case for Grogu, who’s still an emotional child, so he would have to move on to be a Jedi or he would continually be distracted
On the other side, this all Jedi stuff becomes maybe too overrated in the story. Ahsoka is no longer a proper Jedi, obvious reasons and stuff, whatevs,, but she's still awesome.
I don’t know how, but Jon and Dave seem to be inserting backstory for Luke that explains The Last Jedi, perhaps to make it more understandable if not palatable. If they aren’t rewriting his history but just revealing it, Luke will not have learned from the mistakes the Jedi masters made. He makes them himself and discovers too late what the sad consequences are. It’s hard to watch Luke get stuck on the attachment fallacy but he must have or the sequel makes even less sense than it does now. So sadly, Luke continues removing young ones from family and it causes the ruin of the Jedi order. Grogu will grow in the force under Mando as together they master the Dark Saber and someday, he’ll lead the Jedi back into greatness. Let’s give him 100-200 years first to grow a little!
@@ItsMeBarnabyplease reread what I said. Grogu is a special case because Grogu is a baby who needs to stop being so attached to Din for his sake, like how a child is afraid of going to their first day of school without their parents but in the end they need to. Obviously Luke still cares about attachments or he wouldn’t train his own nephew in the future
30:45 I agree with you Steven, I don't like Grogu coming back to Mando so soon, especially since everybody screaming for it to happen. The whole choice thing is right, IMO. Folks talk about Luke having 'family' ties, but he isolated and Leiah left him alone, so he did basically cut ties. Also folks mad about Cad need to chill, characters come to an end and this years literally YEARS later. Like Boba said they are old.
Cad might not be dead though. If you notice during the pan over when he's lying on his back his lights and breather are still on. Both finnick and boba have come back " from the dead " so who's to say he couldn't either. I would love to see Cad come back under the right circumstances and get a rematch duel with Cobb, cuz we don't know if he's a better draw (cuz he was distracted by the deputy). It'd be an awesome rematch and I think Cobb would win in the end then becoming the fastest draw in the galaxy.
I was sad that Cad was killed but it was a good ending to his charcter, it was a Bad-ass ending to his charcter plus he's so old now he's in the end of his road
On the Din and Grogu reunion, Luke kind of did the same thing. He left his training unfinished even though Yoda warned and begged him not to go. Luke knew he was with R2 so was as safe as could be.
Grogu chose a father rather than a master. And all the adventures that come with him. Grogu is better off with Din Djarin. We already saw a Jedi Yoda. Now we’ll see a Mando Yoda.
I live in France and im pretty sure my screams were listened back there in my old house at Mexico City lol...i jumped from my seat...what a nice closure for Boba's character, the emotion on Mando's voice when he saw the baby...i cried when i saw R2...loooooove it!!!
I know! Boba and Rancore was amazing! I screamed when the X wing came into land. I had to pause to freak out for a minute. Mando was so surprised and confused to see Grogu there. But hearing and seeing that morph into happiness and a little relief was the highlight of my day. He rarely expresses strong emotion, but I thought it was pretty clear that he was a little overwhelmed by the sudden change of events, but also had the biggest grin ever under his helmet. I loved hearing him say he missed him. And I died a little when Grogu jumped into his chest to hug him. That’s the first time we’ve seen him do something like that.
All in all I really enjoyed this series. The episodes directed by B.D. Howard and Dave Filoni were amazing. I feel the ones done by Robert Rodriguez were Ok but not the best. It was like he got Star Wars but not really. In the end it was a fun watch.💚💚💚
I kinda wish it was Dave Filoni who did the season finale. His star wars episodes are much better for the most part. The ones done by Robert Rodriguez are kinda a hit or miss.
I just hate the cyberpunk power rangers, just feels like they were thrown in there for god knows what reason. Feels last minute too, like the actors didn't get any training, watch the female arm girl how she fires her weapons, it's so bad lol.
18:07 To quote Grimlock from Transformers: Cyberverse; (in Robot Mode: "When the civilized way fails, one must call upon a little friend, called:" (transforms into Dinobot Mode) " *BRUTE FORCE!!* " 😎
Im 90% sure Grogu knows more force abilities because luke helped him unlock his past memories of his training in the jedi temple with the flashback last episode After Ahsoka comments that "he taught him well" luke responds "its more like hes remembering". Grogu probably has even more abilities now
well considering the fact that Grogu is 50 that means that he's actually the same age as Anakin would be if he'd survived to this point (they would've been born the same year, 41BBY). Anakin was considered too old at the age of 9 to start training which would imply that Grogu started training before that point (therefore Grogu's training started before 32BBY), Grogu was clearly still in training during order 66 (19 BBY) which would imply that Grogu got at least 13 years of training compared to Anakin's 10 years and Ahsoka's 3. at this point in the timeline (9 ABY) Luke only heard of the Jedi and the force 9 years ago and he only started properly training with Yoda in 3 ABY with his training concluding in 4 ABY. chances are that Grogu has more force and jedi stuff locked away in his memory than all 3 of them combined (though the other 3 almost certainly have more practical experience)
Cade Bane is a infamous Bounty Hunter, Cad Bane was trained by Boba Fett's “father” Jango Fett and were rivals; Bane later trained Boba Fett and also had a rivalry with him, where it was said that in once such fight between them, Cade shot Boba in the head, which is how Boba got that dent in his Helmet. Cade is also one of the best Bounty Hunters alive if not the best, having gone against even Jedi like Kenobi, Anakin and Ahsoka, also fought Fennec Shand and hold his own against them and give them a tough fight, hence he is not someone to underestimate
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your channel on UA-cam. When I began watching these Star Wars series I came across these reaction videos, particularly yours. Part of the joy for me in addition to watching the show is seeing your reaction to it after it airs. It’s become part of the excitement and has been a tremendous pleasure. Thank you again for all your hard work and time that you put in for your channel. My overall thoughts on both series: STAR WARS IS BACK! I choose not to nit-pick details because of this fact. Favreau and Filoni have demonstrated their genius by making these characters weave in and out of all their series and there is more to come. I believe the Book of Boba Fett is written and done. Not to say that we won’t see these characters again. In fact, I’ll put money on the fact that we will. It was summed up beautifully by one of you - “That was fun!” It was, and we’ll continue to have more of it. Thank you again for this channel and I’m a happy subscriber!
Boba Fett vs Cad Bane, the Sequel (because this was the second time that they've fought each other) the first time ended in a draw (basically). This one? The victor: Boba Fett. One legend, defeated by another 😤.
I think if you want to look at it in a different way the question w/Mando and Grogu is this idea of one's "people." Are the people we belong to the family we are born into? Is it the life you choose or does Fate have its hand? Yes, the goal was to have Grogu go back to his own people because he is a Jedi but what if the point of Grogu going there with Luke is discover who he WANTS to belong with as his own tribe of people? Even Luke said that Grogu is better than he realizes, only he doesn't remember. So, what i think the potential in reuniting them is for each to discover their strengths, destiny, and calling through their bond as a family in the same way Luke did when he bonded with Obi, Yoda, and Leia. I think the twist may eventually develop into Grogu handling the Dark Saber and what that can mean for his future. Maybe he will be its protector and keeper since he will live for a long time as well as the fact there have been Mandalorian Jedi before. And yes, I feel the development of Grogu and Mando's story is the most compelling one thus far. It has a lot of potential w/certainly a better possibility of cameos. Great reaction and review, guys :) Also, I have to respectfully disagree about the season finale for The Mandalorian, I don't think reuniting them back in Book of Boba Fett takes away from the poignancy and significance of that moment. That moment was a turning point and breakthrough for Mando; what it meant to take off his helmet. I know some have commented about the point if they're going to reunite them? Well, Din has always been a loner, traumatized by his past, and to have that moment of connection with Grogu in giving permission to leave w/Luke is still powerfully contained in its own story. Mando and Grogu are still characters in development with that season finale being the culmination. Reuniting them just solidifies that they are going to be a big part of each other's life, and for that I can't see that season finale where they part ways as all for nothing but more as something of a beginning.
How can this season not be amazing! It had everything. Boba, Luke, Cad, Mando,, ahsoka, Grogu, The rancor! I was pleased! Although, I do think Cad is still alive the way they zoom in on him and you can still here his vitals from that indicator light on his chest. I hope so!
I had an adorable thought/feeling of Grogu and the Rancor would be great friends if they ever met!!!! I loved that it came true!!!!!!!!!! Especially when Grogu snuggled up to its sleeping head (still wished Boba's Rancor had a name). Looks like we're adding Grogu to the side of using the Force that's good with animals..... but maybe still except for Anakin cause I think he did that connection trick only that 1 time (and I loved that before reuniting with Mando, the 1st thing Grogu did was eating poop worms 🤣)
I’ve always seen your guy’s reactions on mixed reaction compilations, but honestly I’m glad I found you guys. Y’all are great 🤣 loving the commentary during the ep. Gladly subbed
I'm fine with Luke sending R2-D2 to bring Grogu back. For one, I believe he'd trust R2-D2 to bring him back safely. Secondly, Luke coming into the fight and being the one to save the day again - the deus ex machina - would've been lame, IMO. As a whole, I like all the SW content. Sure, there are things I would've done differently, personally, but, as a creator, you're never going to satisfy everyone.
I dunno. I've always viewed the "you're not going to satisfy everyone" line as a get out of jail free card. It's what directors/writers say when they know they have a shit story.
@@NikkiStevenReact I like the idea that Luke still makes mistakes and is not a powerful all-knowing jedi master :D He might still have a bit of ptsd from his father so maybe he thought grogu would be tempted by the dark side if he was there with conflicted mind. Luke might be not think that Grogu is super important since he knows there are more jedi and force sensitive people around... like ashoka who told him about ezra probably. Also Leia. The real reason of course might be more production related. Robert Rodrigues episodes in general were the weakest ones and he directed four of them I think.
The giant droids are actually based on unused concept art from Phantom Menace for the Droidekas, goes to show that no scrapped designs are left scrapped ;)
@@bloodymarvelous4790 Probably my personal fanon acting up, but I really didn't want Bane showing up in the series *at all*. I kind of didn't want him surviving much past the Clone Wars. Just a personal thing.
@@rp1ten I don't think they're going to put him in Obi Wan, if so it would be a flashback or something, but I think Luke appears in Ahsoka at the time he's training Grogu, but they have to come up with new ideas if they're going to put Grogu every time on everything, it will start to get annoying/boring cause he ages slowly and doesn't show any difference. Fr I wish Grogu was just about that mission, it was a journey and the end was meaningful, all that for nothing..
I don't think Grogu sensed anything like that, but if he did that means Luke would have sensed it too through Grogu. And there's no way Luke would have flippantly sent him off to a war zone, by himself, with little training and nothing but chainmail to protect him.
I think most likely Grogu may have chosen to leave and stay with Mando. Personally I think that's a better choice; seeing how the Disney future, all of Luke's Jedi students are killed by Kylo Ren. Grogu already went through one Jedi Purge, he shouldn't have to go through another.
Why should the writers of these new TV shows feel like they have to base the stories they are telling on three awful Disney sequel movies? As far as I'm concerned, 7-9 don't exist.
@@ethannickel3087 thats as far as u think. You do not own the star wars IP so writers have to do what the owners of the star wars IP wants. Just keeping it real
Grogu knows more than he's letting on. He acts like a baby because that is how people treat him. He's 50! Has probably had more training under Yoda than Luke. Only had to be shown he doesn't have to hide it anymore.
We knew when Luke explained that Grogu was going to live far longer than Din that he was going to go back. Plus they would have to do a whole explanation of how Grogu escaped being killed by Ben Solo. To me it seems like they are purposely weaving all these stories together. Okay by me.
Listen...I've been saying since early Mandalorian S2: Grogu IS THE MANDALORIAN...the story is about Grogu's path to becoming "The Mandalorian." So, yeah...he HAS to be in it...he IS The Mandalorian. He showed up in episode 1 for that reason...
Make it for all the Chewies....classic. Will you have a thermal mug with "Bye Bitch or Ya Bitch" on it? I feel like Steven deserves a Rankor for Christmas, if your backyard can accommodate, especially if you have bad neighbors..wink, wink.
i love how they say the droids will destroy the whole city but they just leave some blaster holes, meanwhile the rancor actually destroys a bunch of shit
I KNEW the other crime families were going to double-cross Boba!! Kitty!! "skeet shooting with a person" - brb, laughing forever at the perfect summation! xDD People love to poke fun at the Mod Squad but I'd say they acquitted themselves very well in this ep! "Come get your pit!" made me LOL too xD Doesn't anybody care about the Gamorreans though? Are they dead? 😞 I'm very glad Cobb Vanth isn't dead though. MAJOR agree about it being irresponsible of Luke to send Grogu with only Artoo. I get why they did that plot-wise, but seems really OOC for Luke. Edited to add for Nikki: 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
It actually wasn't fan service if you see this as a Mandalorian show. It wasn't for the story of Star Wars. It was for the story of The Mandalorian. Din Djarin must have this journey, and losing his status as a Mandalorian, and seeking his redemption, is part of the journey. Grogu is going to be a part of that.
I saw most of this coming by chapter 4, but there were some twists l didn't expect in chapter 7. Loved this reaction video!!! As for the "Book of Boba Fett" series, thanks for the ride you two!!!
My cheeks hurt after smiling so huge at every scene with grogu. I cant with that bebe 🥺🥺🥺 i was squealing so loud the entire scene where grogu jumped into mando’s arms❤️❤️❤️
I don’t think the emotional impact of the mando s2 finale is lost. It is still the completion of Mando’s emotional arc for the season. Learning that something or someone is more important than his religion.
reminds me of all the Giant Dog / Tiny Kitten videos here on YT. saw one, little tiny kitten, 115 pound lab. kitten was under his tail, like she was trying to climb up his butt. dog's wagging his tail, like, "What are you doing, little creature?"
Now this is a show I look forward to. But I'm also apprehensive. The prequals have a special place in my heart and I hope to god they don't give Obi-Wan the The Last Jedi treatment. Him being deflated and having PTSD would make sense, but I hope they don't turn him into a grumpy pessimistic middle-aged man. I simply hope they adhere to what came before and treat these characters with respect.
I was kinda hoping he’d pull a mudhorn and lift the droid. But removing a joint made sense. It was within the scope of his ability and it was served the intended purpose of slowing the droid down and saving Din.
I was looking up the voice actor for Cad and saw his other work. wow Corey Burton currently voices Captain Hook, Ludwig Von Drake, Dale, and others for The Walt Disney Company; Shockwave on The Transformers; Brainiac in the DC Animated Universe; Zeus in the God of War series; Count Dooku and Cad Bane in Star Wars; and Hugo Strange in Batman: Arkham City.
Thanks for keeping it real Steven. The show had crazy crazy potential and didn't live up to it. Is it terrible? No. But I agree 100% on your comments about Grogu too. I like him fine, but was ready for Mando to branch out and go on his own missions. I thought Episode 5 was the best of the season and it was a Mando episode without Grogu.
I completely echo Steven's sentiment about the rushed reunion of Grogu and Mando diminishing the emotional impact/implications of the Mando S2 finale. It's sadly a case of Disney settling for playing it safe, rather than attempting to add some extra stakes and much-needed character development for our beloved duo apart from one another. As much as we love seeing these characters together, this show and this moment just did not feel like the right place. Here's hoping we're pleasantly surprised and wrong...but it seems what we are currently feeling is warranted.
Disney is trying to milk the Mandalorian out as much as they can, based on how they're handling the Black Series figure line and this show. Boba got overshadowed in his own series. I personally like Din appearing in this, but there was so much focus on Grogu and their reunion that I think could've been saved for Mando S3.
I was happy to see Grogu but bummed at the same time because its very true that it diminishes what happened at the end of season 2 and the previous episode as well. I hope Grogu goes back to Luke to complete his training as is much needed character development for Grogu. I don't want to see the same antics by Grogu for the upcoming Mandalorian seasons. He doesn't have to become a full grown Yoda species adult but he should at least start talking as toddlers do. And since he is remembering his training from Coruscant as well it might not take as long as Luke thinks for him to at least become a very capable padawan and sidekick.
In terms of Grogu's choice there's no way he was going to choose the lightsaber, Grogu is a cash cow for Disney and they learned that fact the hard way when they didn't have enough merchandise after the first season, they aren't about to make that mistake again. They've probably been churning out Grogu chain mail armour and accessories even before this episode aired.
Plus in terms of the story, I feel like people are forgetting that Grogu can potentially live for another 800 years. He’s got more than enough time to better train himself in the Force, but only so much time he can spend with Din. Clearly Grogu wants to learn the ways of the Mandalorian's before mastering the Force
Luke also interrupted his first training with Yoda and returned to help his friends (and confront his father losing arm). After that he came back to Yoda and became a Jedi.
Im a casual fan like Nikki, but if Din dies in 30 ish years, then Grogu can go back to his Jedi training...with whoever is still alive...he does not need Yoda's saber, cause daddy has the Dark one...and maybeeee he will be the second jedi-lorian...so for now he needs his father...many of us suffered that season finale yes, but at the end we wanted a reunion very soon.
I definitely think Steven hit the nail on the head with the comment about Grogu not so much learning but remembering and I feel the Luke alluded to that in giving him the option. I think that it was simply about unlocking Grogu’s memory and that will be explored more in season 3 of Mando. I also think there is a chance that we may find out more about Grogu in the upcoming Kenobi story.
I think Grogu convinced R2 to take him to Mando and they snuck off. Luke would not have sent him off after vowing to protect him. Didn't R2 act like he was in a hurry to leave?
I've been waiting for this video since chapter 6 last week lol. I may or may not have cried a little when the baby jumped into Mando's arms lol. Easily my favorite episode of the show!
It was fun. I do agree with several of your points, including feeling like having Din and Grogu reunite in this show so soon after the finale of Mando Season 2 felt a bit strange. Have to wonder how confusing it will be to start watching season 3 of Mando for those who didn't watch this show. And also agreed- pretty much any scene with the rancor was the best scene. Also a bit confused that they brought in Cad Bane just to kill him off next episode, thought they would build it up more. (I haven't seen much Clone Wars so didn't know the history there between them and thought we'd learn more as this show progressed- but guess not?) Lastly- green heart!
Look at the red flashing light on the square device on Bane's chest. The light never stops. (Just like Ultraman, LOL!) You cant tell me that a guy who's cybered-up to fight Jedi doesn't have some sort of insurance vs potentially fatal wounds? We'll see him again in a couple years...maybe _Bad Batch, Vol2._
Unpopular opinion: Fennec’s constant hand holding of Boba Fett has become annoying. It’s gotten to a point where Boba Fett sounds incompetent at times. Most scenes with Fennec and Boba consists of Fennec overriding almost every choice he makes lol Boba hasn’t even really been in charge lol if anything it’s been Fennec who has been in charge
As someone who was born in 77 and has loved Boba Fett as long as I can remember, I never would have thought I'd finish this season thinking Fennec was the cooler character. Just a lot of missed opportunities here.
I blame the script. As a leader, you sit back and let your people do their best work, and intervene when needed. The script has boba not being assertive, when needed, to project his authority. If you dont do this, your crew will start to take control of things.......
I’m someone who was really unhappy when they separated at the end of Season2, but even I know they should’ve committed to it. Not forever, but at least for a season. Let Mando grow and develop on his own for a bit. We’ve seen in the Believer and in The Return of the Mandalorian that they can make a good Mando episode without Grogu, so I don’t understand why they decided to backtrack so quickly
I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one sad about the two Gamorrean’s deaths. They were Boba’s first bodyguards besides Fennec and stayed loyal to both of their masters and to Boba til death. They should’ve lived to see the outcome. Tatooine is finally at peace after so many years and they deserved a peaceful rest of their career as guards. I understand it was necessary for someone on Boba’s side to die otherwise it would be unrealistic, but it’s still really sad to see.
I feel the same as Steven about Grogu and Din already being back together. Did it ever say how long he was with Luke?? It felt like he was only gone for like a weekend haha But its a small complaint. Im still super excited for season 3!!
Such a solid finale with some genuinely gutsy moves. Highlights for me: - Finally killed the tadpole, and in the most perfect way possible -Drash simping over every woman she meets (really hope we get more of her somewhere) -Cybernetic Cobb Vanth -Excellent inverted version of "badass kills room full of leaders" -Rancor ride, obvs

Yea think that Book of Boba Fett should have more episodes to flesh it out more. But I still liked the show.
The jump into Mando's arms was a heart killer. I screamed happy joy and tears were coming on strong. What a great scene in such a chaos. 💕💕💕💕
Glad Cad Bane is dead, finally.

@@Lemon_Force So did I... ~facepalms~
27:13 "Is Boba Fett smiling... or is he in pain?" LOL!
I cheered when he died
Cad might not be dead though. If you notice during the pan over when he's lying on his back his lights and breather are still on. Both finnick and boba have come back " from the dead " so who's to say he couldn't either. I would love to see Cad come back under the right circumstances and get a rematch duel with Cobb, cuz we don't know if he's a better draw (cuz he was distracted by the deputy). It'd be an awesome rematch and I think Cobb would win in the end then becoming the fastest draw in the galaxy.
@@dreyadams9655 His species only live until 70 and he was 71 here. It makes sense to kill him off.
It was a inevitable that Grogu would be coming back to Mando. Literally what the timeline from the sequel movies calls for.
Luke knew he was with R2 so was as safe as could be.
seeing Grogu come out of the ship made me so happy. But seeing him jump up to hug Din, my heart melted
Omg me too! I’ve rewatched that so many times.
Grogu chose a father rather than a master. And all the adventures that come with him. Grogu is better off with Din Djarin. We already saw a Jedi Yoda. Now we’ll see a Mando Yoda.
I just finished the season finale and my eyes are still streaming happy tears. All is right in the world, father and son back together💚

Grogu began speaking halfway through Season 2. He has an all-purpose word, “Patoo”. He sees Pelli around the 8:20 mark, says to her, “Patoo!”
Im 90% sure Grogu knows more force abilities because luke helped him unlock his past memories of his training in the jedi temple with the flashback last episode
After Ahsoka comments that "he taught him well" luke responds "its more like hes remembering".
They made minor references in this episode
I like how they have non force users be good as well. But let's be real he got major armor. And I'm not talking mandalorian armor.
@@LifeisANovel No he don't, he just got skill. He's just Boba without the mandolin armor.

Love the cat. “I saw that little green thing on TV. Hey! I was here first! I was here first! Hey!”

Great reaction and review, guys :)
Also, I have to respectfully disagree about the season finale for The Mandalorian, I don't think reuniting them back in Book of Boba Fett takes away from the poignancy and significance of that moment.

Sure, there are things I would've done differently, personally, but, as a creator, you're never going to satisfy everyone.
trusting R2 is one thing but what if something went down on the trip that R2 couldn't handle? It makes it feel very much like Luke didn't give a shit.
I dunno. I've always viewed the "you're not going to satisfy everyone" line as a get out of jail free card. It's what directors/writers say when they know they have a shit story.
@@NikkiStevenReact I wondered about that too. But I wasn’t too worried. R2 is quite capable and Grogu isn’t helpless.
It’s more about Luke careless attitude when he knows Grogu is very important.

"I sense" what are you pretending to be a jedi lmfao?
True but Luke went back Grogu will not go back.

Now this is a show I look forward to. But I'm also apprehensive. The prequals have a special place in my heart and I hope to god they don't give Obi-Wan the The Last Jedi treatment. When Grogu was helping take out the big droid, when he just takes out one bolted leg, I was like "you should have trained harder Grogu!"
i thought about how he wasnt hurt, but then thought about his armor he has now
I was kinda hoping he’d pull a mudhorn and lift the droid. But removing a joint made sense. It was within the scope of his ability and it was served the intended purpose of slowing the droid down and saving Din.

Grogu basically went, "I tried being a Jedi-everyone around me DIED!"

I always try my best to be as balanced as possible. Appreciate the comment.
I agree, show definitely has it's flaws but it was just an OK season.
Am I the only one that noticed that Cad Banes heart monitor on his chest was still flashing even after he'd been stabbed? He's definitely alive
I just noticed that painting of you two in the background. That is awesome.
I think "The Mandalorian" might end up referring to Grogu rather than Din.
yep seems more likely as time passes :)
That has been theorised, yup. He’ll wield the Darksaber and rule for hundreds of years.
15:23 Cat is like, "WHAT? What what?? What happened?"
But grogu went with Mando in his ship at the end.
Grogu calming the Rancor gave me Moana vibes where she realizes Te Ka’s true identity and brings back Te Fiti’s heart.
Unpopular opinion: Fennec’s constant hand holding of Boba Fett has become annoying. It’s gotten to a point where Boba Fett sounds incompetent at times. Most scenes with Fennec and Boba consists of Fennec overriding almost every choice he makes lol
Boba hasn’t even really been in charge lol if anything it’s been Fennec who has been in charge
As someone who was born in 77 and has loved Boba Fett as long as I can remember, I never would have thought I'd finish this season thinking Fennec was the cooler character. Just a lot of missed opportunities here.
I think they didn't want to "shadow" their original creation The Mandalorian.. this soft Boba might be cool but is boring af.
I blame the script. As a leader, you sit back and let your people do their best work, and intervene when needed. The script has boba not being assertive, when needed, to project his authority. If you dont do this, your crew will start to take control of things.......
@@richardtapia2019 exactly, it even feels like Fennec bullies Boba at times.

27:13 😂 freakin Steven killed me with that line
I can’t get over the fact they killed my favorite bounty hunter of all time.
I don't think my hubby(Cad Bane) is dead because his life support lights were still on after he was down.
Cad has so many mods done to his body he'll be back
The only unfair death was Garsa.
@@lashebawinston4906 Don’t get my hopes up haha.
Good chance in the Obi-Wan series.
Grogu doesn't need training. He's more powerful than both Ahsoka and Luke already. He needs child-rearing, which could take Mando's entire life.
That was the plan I heard. Then Cara was removed changing 3 storey. Some of 3 became last two boba episodes plus Grogu early return.
Did anyone else hear "The Boys Are Back in Town" when Boba and Din came out of the Sanctuary in their jet packs? 😏😎
I'm pretty sure I heard SHoot to Thrill just like in The Avengers.
Such a solid finale with some genuinely gutsy moves. Highlights for me:
- Finally killed the tadpole, and in the most perfect way possible
-Drash simping over every woman she meets (really hope we get more of her somewhere)
-Cybernetic Cobb Vanth
-Excellent inverted version of "badass kills room full of leaders"
-Rancor ride, obvs
"You will go to sleep, or I will put you to sleep. Check out the name tag, Rancor"
- Grogu
