The animating done by each animator is definitely crazy and a lot of effort is put into each persons style! My only issue is that the animators have a distinct style and that often makes each scene part feel disjointed from the others, making the ultimate fight seem disconnected and inconsistent from the rest. It would be cool to see them work on a scene together in a more united fashion, ie, brainstorming together for ultimate fight scenes into different unique aspects they want to add to the fight, ie the extreme body morphing, the black scribble lines, etc and have them placed in specific transitions of the fight, like impact frames etc, as it makes it very unpolished and inconsistent. That’s not saying the animation is in any way bad, and I know they had extreme backlash on the company and that also made it hard to go back and re animate the fight scenes. I’m just hoping for the next season to have taken more time and have a unified feeling to the fight scenes! Each animator’s style goes crazy, but it feels unpolished, and taking that into account, if blended with the smoothness of the fight scenes scene in Demon Slayer S2 with Uzui vs the brother, that would be crazy good.
