I've lived in Taipei for almost 4 years for studying. I did love the life there. Though i don't like too many around. Pity that it rains a lot in winter. It's annoying sometimes.
Every city in Taiwan has it traits. But I think Taipei is one the most convenient cities in the world. You should travel around all cities in Taiwan since you are living in Taiwan now.
I just noticed t hey changed the change of the guard drill, they are indeed SO cool! Co-ordinated and professional all at the same time. I seriously would love to move to Taipei if I could, it's not just where I was born but a place close to my heart that I haven't visited for way too long. Fun night market! The food! 😍
People living in Taipei in usual would like to move to Taichung due to the sunshine and more warmer climate. Indeed, Taipei is more fashionable and internationalized, convenient provided that you can stand the rain which may last half month or longer and make you feel crazy in winter. Haha
Pros in Taipei: Internationalized Public transportation system (also two international airports within 1hr trip) Most education/culture/career/medical resources Safety (relatively better than other cities in Taiwan) Cons in Taipei: Cost of living Winter/summer weather (Relatively) lack of personal space My advice: If budget is not a big concern, why not give it a try.
I recommend you to come to Taipei to participate in the New Year's Eve activities😁 Cars will be banned on Xinyi Road, let people walk. There will be a lot of fashionable people and a lot of wine along this way~ Twelve o'clock is the most important 101 fireworks show~
Living in Taipei would be more expensive. However, if you enjoy living in a buzzy place, Taipei is definitely worth a try. Also it’s easier to visit the north and the east coast from there.
Honestly speaking, I won't consider live at Taipei city because of living cost as well as housing being too expensive even I'm a Taiwanese. I just go there for specific reason - Touring, or shopping.
Taichung’s weather is much better than Taipei. In winter months, Nov to Mar, Taipei could rain continuously for a week or two. You might feel miserable with all that rain in Taipei.
Tbf that’s not true, the two cities r only a few hundred Kms apart, they usually have about the same weather cuz they r physically so close to each other
@@josephhsu5045 In 2022 so far, Taipei's precipitation (2570 mm 毫米) is higher than Taichung (1546 mm 毫米). Below are the data from Central Weather Bureau, draw your own conclusion. Taipei: (Jan - Dec) 122, 252, 197.5, 108.5 486, 234.5, 122, 218.5, 256, 449.5, 119.5, 3.5 Taichung: (Jan - Dec) 30, 122.5, 149, 40.5, 465.5, 250, 90, 278, 85, 11.5, 19.5, 4. I find Taipei more international and lively, it would be a perfect place to stay if you like going out often and have fun. If you like more peaceful place with less people, less expensive, then Taichung would be a good choice 👍 If you want to experience a beautiful nature and see very nice sceneries more often, than you can go to Hualian. There’re also other parts of Taiwan where you can stay, it all depends on what you like the most.
You two are Amazing!!!
The city view is stunning and the foods look amazing.

Many foreign UA-camrs live in Taichung City, and Japanese are distributed in Tainan and Yilan

When is this?
What kind of tower is that 101?
It is called "Taipei 101"
Taipei is the only city friendly for pedestrian.
