I think the reason why Cartel wasn't bigger was due to how there were too many bands at the time to the point where one of them would be in the shadows while the spotlights were on the popular ones that been around for a while. Green Day, Good Charlotte, Blink-182, etc.
This song, Anti Flag, rise against, Afi, and less than Jake and some of the rap/hip hop songs were good too. Mainly the punk rock songs were the best in the game.
You could say that at any age really and I've come to find a lot of people say that in retrospect. For example I was how old you are now when this came out and I could really say the same thing. Though at this point I'm digging in and working on making it happen for me so I can have a future that when I look back on, I can say I had no regrets about missed opportunities...

not that their music is simple because they do some technical things. but the simplicity in their music really drives the style... they are letting the instruments do the talking for the music and it does not take away from the vocals or lyrics... i always liked cartel now i feel a bit underground with them because not a lot of people know them. its special absolute underrating band especially matter of time my favorite song

Except my teenage daughter is a mini me and an added blessing/nightmare. Parenting is so hard sometimes, but this really lifted my spirits. Its like I could sing this to my 14 yr old self and my daughter, keep pushing forward so she can stay proud of us too. I never knew how good life could be, and all the struggles have been worth it. Even if they haven't stopped.
