Anyone can obtain a pardon for free now and do it themselves. The instructions are on the record suspension package that you can obtain from any RCMP. There are some small charges to obtain court documents and your fingerprints and criminal record from Ottawa, other than that the application is free. It used to be $750 &$150 but as of now in 2024 it is free and easy to do on your own. It is actually encouraged. If you have a busy life or have a disability there are places that can do it for you for a hefty fee.

Its close to 5 grand for a pardon, but you can make monthly payments. I am on the tail end of the process and its hard work, but its worth it! The example given is very similar to my situation. I would also recommend staying off the radar and do not even go close to the US border to avoid being denied entry.
