I recall my time in TO during the mid 80's and sitting out there in those CNE left field bleachers all for the price of a $4 ticket. The wind would be blowing off Lake Ontario and we'd have seagulls for company. The Blue Jays were really starting to gel as a team during that era. The 1985 post season was historic because Toronto hosted the first ever major league playoff game outside of the United States (October 8th). The Blue Jays seemingly put a stranglehold on the Series, earning a three games to one lead over the Royals after four games. However, Kansas City staged an improbable comeback winning the next three games to win the American League Championship Series four games to three. Yup, remember it well and I still have that ticket stub ... 😊
Overall I was impressed with the makeover. If you’re not planning on building a new park you need to spend money on the dome and bring it into the 21’s century. The fact for $20 I can run to the bleachers and have a sweet spot for the game or run to the 500th and hang out at the rooftop. Overall they did a fantastic job. I would recommend that they expand on the bleachers in the future. Make the whole lower bowl outfield bleachers. Love the bleachers. My butt doesn’t.
I was down at the opener and we got there early to walk around. Really love the outfield. Really love the angled seats. Cup holders, awesome. Not a fan of the Yankee Stadium colour scheme though. Seems muted to me with the grey and dark seats.
You should of removed the top of the upper deck and upper deck outfield and added windows at the top. Let in a little bit of natural light even when the roof is closed
I can't help but think it will be aggrevating to be sitting in the 100s and not be able to see the plays in the corners. Even the 500s for that matter if it's not the same side of the field
Nah. That'd be cool but I think we should just be happy that the 30 year old system still works at all. I thought they were going to permanently close it years ago. I love that they've kept it alive.
Rogers Centre it's should be the upgrades are one is it's should be a retractable pitch/field, modernized exterior design upgrade, and seating capacity expansion. and negotiate to the NFL to play at the Rogers Centre for an NFL International Series Games gonna calling it NFL Toronto games (like NFL doing to other cities like London (UK), Mexico City (Mexico), Munich (Germany), Frankfurt (Germany), São Paulo (Brazil) & Madrid (Spain)
If you mean Rogers it's not free. They own the team. Heck Blue Jays have always been corporate back in the day was owned by Labbatts. You think it was named Blue Jays by accident?

They can try to call it what ever they want but it is still the SKY DOME .
They should just make it Rexall Stadium. That grey rental property back splash behind home is dreadful.
Except it's literally not called that anymore. Change is difficult for people like you.

What a beautiful conversion from a dual use stadium to a baseball-only facility.
Two thumbs up from a Yankee fan.
I think it looks great.

Just curious if eventually will the roof of SkyDome be renovated to open and close faster or no??

Wonder what the food and beverage prices are now.
Extremely high prices.
If you want fries with that order, you better get a second mortgage
They're more or less the same as last season IMO. Maybe a buck more for some items. I went to the home opener last night.
Just go for loonie dogs 🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭
Outfield fence been uneven... not sure that will favor the home team...
Finally you converted a tennis court to a baseball stadium
Can we hire her at Metrolinx? Maybe some projects would get done.
I thought the lower level renovation was phase 3
Great story. We have a housing crisis but renovating a ballpark is definitely more important. Especially because Taylor Swift is coming...
This. Our societal priorities are horrendous.
Where is Jimin

I haven't been to Skydome since the 90's. Not planning on going back anytime soon either. 😅
Your loss!
So you're not a baseball fan, cool.
That Sid dud destroyed this show with his pro-Liberal bias and very stupid opinions.
Free advertising for a billion dollar company

He’s talking about free publicity through breakfast television, which is funded by the taxpayers
