Omg seeing Sally Bollywood brought back
So many weird memories
As a broke American growing up, there was a kids tv station that played foreign kids shows since that was all they could afford. And Sally Bollywood , Grossology, Being ian, and a bunch of other weird and kinda cool shows were played on it.
But I stg they only had the rights to about a season's worth of episodes cause after watching each show for their time slots once a day, they reused the old episode schedule and replayed the reruns.

What's the show called
What's ironic is that I'm a long-term Australian of 2009, I absolutely got punched in the solar-plex with a tsunami amount of nostalgia, specifically dirtgirlworld, shezow, Sally Bollywood, & The Flamin' Thongs
dirtgirl finished in 2011. i vividly remember hating this show while it was on. instead of abc, i went to 9 go. they had shows like looney toons, batman, ninjago, scooby doo, and others i always watched. i did watch abc from time to time, wathing mister maker, slugterra, thomas the tank engine, bob the builder, the night garden during dinner, and shaun the sheep. these were a construct in my childhood.
I was abnormally invested in Shezow, it was weird, yes, but I actually kind of liked it.

Are you my dad?
It’s funny you mentioned Australia’s reputation for cartoons but fun fact: they actually turned it around this decade! Yep, surprisingly, Australia made the world’s best cartoon today, Bluey! It’s a preschool show but it gets so deep, people above preschool age love it too! It’s now at the point where it’s internationally loved and a cultural phenomenon and I also believe it’s become the blueprint for modern cartoons now. Because we seem to be in an era where cartoons are fun, deep, and respectful!
I’m both happy that Bluey single-handedly redeemed Australian cartoons and sad that I didn’t grow up with it and grew up with these instead
@@jacob-yy8sq True, not just Australia but the world, to be honest, when I was a kid, preschool shows were stupid, the characters talk to the audiences, some were pretty insulting, they were too “childish”, had stupid songs that repeated one line over and over again or just had dumb lyrics, and always had to teach a lesson. But it seems Bluey shaped preschool entertainment for the future because I noticed, from what I have seen, preschool shows now tell wholesome stories without shoehorning a lesson about counting or reciting the alphabet and the characters no longer talk to the audience and sing eargrating songs. It’s just an episodic show with a wholesome story each episode, what every children’s show should be.
Bit to late for that
