40 years I walked into a hifi shop in Toronto, saw a speaker with the name "Braun" and thought they were joking knowing they made shavers and gave them a listen and was blown away by the sound and immediately purchased them! Still own them.
amazing speaker what a lovely piece to own! Also im an avid F1 fan and to me its Braun as in mowing the" lawn" but then im a southerner and things are different depending what side of the Thames your on!

Here's an easy way to remember how to pronounce German words that contain "ei" or "ie". If the "e" comes after the "i" then it's "eee". If the "i" comes second, then it's "eye". So the German word for "unfortunately" is "leider", pronounced "L-eye-der". Dieter has the "e" second, so it's "D-eee-ter".

At that price level, you are close to a Devialet Phantom 2. I've never listen to this Braun Speaker, but I've got the opportunity to listen to the Devialet few times. It's an incredible experience. I hope you will have the opportunity to try a Devialet and give us your feedback.

Electrostatic speakers aren't known for their bass. But some of the best highs and mids you'll ever hear in your life. They look like guitar strings that vibrate to make the sound. There's no cone or moving coil like a conventional speaker. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a hybrid setup with a conventional woofer. These are extremely clean and smooth sounding like nothing else and they need alot ..... ALOT of power to drive them , because they're inefficient and need a powerful amplifier. That's where most of the cost comes from. 750 isn't a terrible price for what you'll get but it depends how much quality of the sound means. It won't blow the windows out of your house , but this is a very much like the Rolls Royce of portable speakers. You buy this for a room in your house and it lives in that spot until your kids move out , go to college , they inherent the speaker along with the house when you pass away , then on to your grandkids. This is just like buying an expensive piece of furniture or an expensive clock on the mantle. This sits beside that clock as an heirloom that everyone who questions about what it is will be impressed as with your Swiss mantle clock. I'd gladly pay 750 for this and just may buy one of these.

I am 100% positive Blutooth data transfer wont exist by the time he becomes a grand dad. And this is nowhere near Rolly Royce equivalent in the realm of Blutooth speakers. There are B&O, Devialet which are similarly ‘consumer’ grade, but also all-in-one Blutooth integrated amp-speakers available from big names such as McIntosh, Cambridge, Naim..etc.
I've heard the NAIM smart speaker, costs around a grand and it sounds incredible, worth the money as it's also built to last. So this Braun has competition in the market.
Yeah I’ve heard some stuff from NAIM too… awesome sound, although haven’t got anything from them in the studio myself!

Admittedly a great looking speaker, having said that it’s on a different price level.
Lagavulin and Laphroaig... A man of impeccable taste!
Lagavulin is my favourite! If you like those two, ardbeg and bowmore are a must also 👌
@@StusReviewsUK Aye, I've done the rounds with those listed. Very nice whiskey. A personal favourite is Dalwhinnie 15 yr. Dalwhinnie winters gold is also a very nice bottle and doesn't hurt the pocket as much!

AND most importantly, what happens to this device when Braun stoos supporting the software, like MS and Harman did to their Invoke smart speaker.??
Totally agree, I bought a Musiac speaker years ago, it was great until the app disappeared from the App Store…
Better than a Sonos 5? I wonder.
One aspect I can't believe they overlooked, is that when you mute the mic, the clean asthetics are destroyed as the mic button is no longer flush with the case. It would drive me nuts.
Superb design. Unfortunately, I’m too invested in the Sonos platform. It would be nice if these types of speakers played nice with each other.

Any comparison vids for braun speaker?
Not from me! I’ve done a few comparison vids in the past, but haven’t in a long time! Plus there’s not much to compare this to!

How does this compare to the ikea eneby range of speakers I know the prices are totally different but what’s your thoughts thanks
I love the eneby range! They are amazing, but the LE02 is in another league for level of clarity… although saying that, the symfonisk lamps (mk1) are some of my favourite speakers in a stereo pair.

For that money I can buy a set of Edifier s3000pro and stands with proper stereo separation or a budget Sonos soundbar with IKEA Sonos satellites.
But that set up is not a panty dropper like this one.... Keep this in the bedroom and get busy....

These are like 750-800 euros, where'd you get 7000 from? It's not cheap but they arent particularly expensive in terms of what would be considered high end speakers.
I mean… rewatch what I said… I’m not referring to the LE01 or LE02 as 7000… I’m referring to the LE1, which i show a picture of a few seconds before.🤔👀

To be honest I really wouldn't pay that much for a speaker like that particularly with Google assistant. That's just me and as I have three echos in the house just not needed.
that really look and sound badass. sad it's white and i know how you hate white because it doesn't fit color wise to your setup 🤣 i'll catch it on a Car boot sale 😅 just kidding. great piece of speaker but i cant afford the price.
You never know 😉… although at the moment it’s in my wife’s kitchen which is white and grey so it works at the moment!
