I'm so glad that they brought back the long-lasting bullet holes. It's a pretty small touch, but it pissed me off that none of the Xbox 360 Halos had it.

2. I have Halo 2 PC and honestly, it's not that bad once you get the VSync working properly.
My PC's got a nice GTX 650Ti in and Halo 2 pretty runs insanely fast when you first get it going, it's like playing a game at 300fps, but synchronised as if it's 60... So when you move forward you appear at the end of the room!
I managed to fix it by VSync-ing through my graphics card settings.
Another benefit to it being on PC, you won't really see the loading screen much at all... It'll go to the loading screen, the music will start "Haa..." and that's it you're in game. It's actually pretty interesting to see just how much faster a general PC today is compared to an 800MHz Xbox original...
I mean, it's seriously slower than my 2011 model phone!

You can't exactly have Brute Weapons if Brutes aren't in the game, I believe they weren't in Halo: Reach because of the new 'Armour Abilities' but don't quote me on that.
Wellsy Reviewer Brutes weren;t really in Reach much (if at all) because they hadn't gained a higher Position in the Covenant yet. Hell, They really weren't around much in Halo 2, either. Mostly just near the end.

MoBSPwNer HD They are the same sounds, except in campaign, they have a longer echo. Try it for yourself. Its mostly noticeable with the BR. The reason they dull the echo in multiplayer, is because it will be stupid to have an echo in a forged environment. With the campaign, the echo varies depending if you are in the open, or inside. The game is not smart enough to do this with forge
one of the most egregious is the beam rifle, yet they put the right halo 2 one in halo 5.

This looks and sounds so amazing. I fucking love it. Especially that AR (my fav Halo weapon).
I liked Bungee more than 343 Industries, but 343 is a million times better at sounds, graphics, and animations.
Freelix IHazNoLastName 343 is doing a great job at learning how to handle Halo. I think they try to respect us and I appreciate that.

a few of those weapons didn't exist in halo 2 :o but besides that, I WISH 343 had used these weapons sounds for halo 4/5. Some of the weapons (like the magnum and SMG) sound like toy guns to me. These weapon sounds are a lot more robust.

The MP is vastly different than Campaign in a lotta aspects, like some models and animations are different, and there are some weapons that weren't in Halo 2 that are in HA MP, like the Suppresed SMG and the AR.
I remember I was like 5 years old when I played halo 2. Now it's back in new gen consoles !

Had always figured the energy sword would be given a darker counterpart. Had figured it might be more of a purple or void- like violet-blue, but red doesn't look too bad. :P

Yeah, too bad the Original release of Halo CEA just used Halo Reach for its Multiplayer. I would have loved a port of the PC Multiplayer. All the Extra Maps, weapons, and Vehicles... (Like The Rocket Hog)

Did anyone notice that the smg is the one that they had in concept art for halo 4, but never used in halo 4, but it wasn't used in h4 so it has to be known as H2As smg

At first I thought the Brute shot in this was firing red plasma, but then I realized the rounds must have flare-like properties, with a burning red glow. It makes sense.
Maybe 343 made the rounds glow like that so they're easier to see, and therefore easier to avoid. Clever.

Most melee animations are similar. Kinda sucks compared to Halo:CE! Halo CE had the coolest melee animations - each weapon had a unique one!

+DONQUAKER Content and diversity is something that's kinda killing gaming now. Yes it's good to have a diverse and full-of-content game. But then that leaves them less time to think things thru and make diversity that actually feels diverse.
So to make more content, they often re-use the same animations/script, making the game longer and with more content, but everything feels the same in the end, making a not-so diverse.
Like CE, I don't even know if most people notice, but they re-use the same maps a ton. PoA is re-used for The Maw, Truth and Reconciliation is re-used for Keys, AotCR is re-used for Two Betrayals, yet the game still felt top notch and didn't feel repetitive all the way thru.
So instead of making a BUNCH of things that end up all feeling the same, why not make some content that will be so detailed that you can even re-use them and change some things on them to make them *feel* unique. That is what I meant by Quality > Quantity
I think halo 2 and 3 (original) have cooler melee animation than ce. Each gun has 1-3 melee animation, and i though that in halo ce there're a similar melee animation too, that is sniper gun and shotgun. So i still prefer halo 2 and 3 melee (sr for my suck english)
Some weapon's design, bullet being shot out and sound sounds much more different than the old Halo 2

Reload animations back in Halo 2 were actually pretty good and interesting, they just needed to be touched up to not be spazzy (which is what Halo 3 did, perfectly).
If you honestly think these reload animations, and the rest of them are good, I feel sorry for you. Or maybe I'm envious that you probably don't cringe everytime you play the game like I do.
ODX999 for example there wasnt any reload animations for empty magazines. same with halo 3
Just wasn't a feature they wanted to implement and add to I suppose. Halo 1 actually had them, but it was implemented incorrectly and if a reload-empty had more frames than a reload-full, and you did a simple reload-full, you would actually have to wait until the end of what would be a reload-empty. They could have easily fixed this, but I really dunno why they didn't have 'em. It made the game flow better without the annoyance of them, perhaps. It's not like Reach or Halo 4 even animated them well (and even to this day, the Halo 3 AR reload is butchered into a reload-empty in H2A and now H5, which is fucking pathetic honestly).

Halo 2's Carbine was pretty neato and fine. The biggest problem was in the up/down-overlays for the sniper and shotgun. Pick em up and cry for a second.
Aww... the light ran rifle used to sound so cool, they also ruined the plasma pistol and rifle sounds, and the sentinel beam, and the energy sword. I love the magnum sounds though.
The fuel rod did not look like that until Reach...why
All Halo weapons design so elegant in my opinion
So, I could have two of these at the same time without dual wielding: pistols and survivor pistols, shotguns and survivor shotguns, plasma rifles and brute rifles and the infected sword and the standard energy swords... sweet, red and blue blades look good together anyways.
343i have no idea how shotguns work.

I still don't get why the carbine in the campaign didn't have the ammo counter... it was super useful, you could still keep an eye on the battlefield and know how much ammo you had at the same time. Smh 343. Will you ever learn from your mistakes?
I find it kinda weird how halo 2 anniversary campaign and multiplayer are two completely different games. Campaign being a reskin of halo 2 while multiplayer is halo 4 mimicking halo 2.
Multiplayer can't even be bothered to use all the same models and colors for the weapons of the campaign.
Biggest mistake was not including a mode where you go after the Fist of Rukt as a usable weapon.
It seems more like halo 3's multiplayer if you yhink about it.
Personally, I actually kind of like the look of the new beam rifle more than the Halo 2 & 3 one. The old one had me wondering how one could practically zoom in, while the Halo 4 skinned one is easier to understand how one can look through the scope.
I'm glad they kept the Halo 2 skin for the shotgun, though. The Halo 4 shotgun really irked me with it's appearance because it had absolutely no fucking cool light-sights on top of it.
But I have to complain about the fuel rod cannon. The only "different" looking fuel rod existed in Halo Combat Evolved for the PC, and afterwards the only major addition was the little scope thing on the side during Halo Reach and Halo 4. 343 and Bungie never took risks with that weapon.
The Halo 4 assault rifle looked pretty cool already, but I do kind of miss the old style that Halo CE, CEA, and 3 had with it.

I hate the noise changes they made to the energy sword. It doesn't sound visceral or harsh. Just kinda weak. Like a metal swing put through a filter. The original energy sword felt like you could melt anything you hit, and it made a flesh-sizzling sound when you hit soft targets.

Best viewmodels I've ever seen in any Halo game.... why couldn't Halo 5/6's viewmodels be like this instead of huge lead-pumpers right up in our faces? I mean, Halo 3 got this right, they look compact and "close" but they didn't cover half of the screen HALO 5...

It's a shame, H2As multiplayer is probably the best "game" that 343 built from the ground up (almost anyway). Best weapons looks, physics, and I actually like the look of the spartans and elites, but it's only used in the multiplayer of a VERY broken game. Just shows that 343 is capable of making a good halo but they give us this advanced warfare/shitty armour and weapons look to halo.

It's not exactly every halo 5 weapon that's in the beta
The beta will likely be just matchmaking only, and in terms of weapons, it would be incomplete and maybe buggy. Don't expect an all weapons video like this one until the full game comes out in late 2015.

I never really liked the AR. It just wasn't as good as guns like the smg and the Br, plus, I think it's very overused and overrated.
The AR is fucking amazing. It’s the most iconic gun in Halo. Why not add it in?

Hopefully in Halo 3 anniversary they add in the silenced smg and infected sword. I would like it if they add in a jacket shield that you can wield on your second hand. Otherwise Halo 3 has it all :)....oh and maybe add in the plasma launcher and grenade launcher from reach too?

***** Not to be rude, but that is a fairly ignorant thing to say. Things get old, and Halo 3 is already starting to show it's age (Halo 1 and 2 already have), so in time they will remake it to fix the issue.
Bigsoap Extreme It won't be a full-scale remake though. Just an update (kinda like a PC game.) Skyrim comes to mind. They add a bunch of new things, improve Forge, and buff the graphics a little.

They tried to stay faithful to the original Halo 2 campaign while multiplayer was made to be it's own thing (a remake of Halo 2's multiplayer instead of a remaster)

I hope they didn't actually make the Brute Plasma rifle the exact same as the Regular Plasma Rifle, because that's just fucked up. Also, I noticed that they redesigned the dual-wielding animation for the Plasma Rifles. Now, both of the charge vents appear when dual wielding. Before it was only the right gun that exposed the charge vent.
The difference i think is the brute plasma rifle does more damage but overheats faster the normal plasma rifle does a little less damage but doesn't overcharge as much

Grunty ultra/USA Ball they are very different. The campaign is a direct graphics remaster of halo 2 I think. But halo 2 anniversary’s multiplayer is essentially a different game on a different engine to the campaign, while still very similar to halo 2. The gun designs have a bit of 343’s art style on multiplayer, while the campaign id literally just a nicer re skin of the orignal, not a shiny entirely new game
