Due to the length of the video, I saved a couple summary items for a pinned comment. The left-shoulder strap carry system that I rigged together worked better than I expected. The only downside was that it prohibited straightening out my left arm in front of me, which is not really a problem. I carried around field tripod and complete iPhone rig during the filming. That was quite the exercise :) There is, however, no direct ability to attach the LR40R V2 to a tripod. I will discuss more in part two of the review when I talk about static observation and vehicle-based search. Thank you.
Great light. Sadly the battery is sealed and isn't replaceable. I bought the LR60R which has very similar specs but has a proprietary battery which is user replaceable. Thank you for this video. Greetings from the UK, Anthony
I owe everyone a big apology. A very bad accident involving my elderly mother along with a wave of new lights caused me to get over two months behind on reviews. By the time I caught up in the fall, I was on my way to the LBJ Grasslands to film part 2. My check engine light came on. That and December vacation - I was without my truck for over a month. Now, the LR60R is out, so part 2 is history. Good news is that it's on it's way in and I hope to have that review out in March. Thank you.
As always greatly done Review. 👌👍 This light is awesome, it's looks like fenix did it again. They did right, what olight did wrong with the maurader 2. I'm not taking (writing) about maurader 2 mini because this is an interesting proposition but different caliber of a torch.
Battery pack is non replaceable, that's a no go... With the V1 you can even take spare battery packs or it can use separate 18650's. That's a game changer if you need to use it for extended times, I guess hope you buy two units...
Well, the key is whether or not Fenix will send me one :). If you already have it, i'm pretty sure you're never worried about darkness, no matter where you go. Thanks and good luck!!
Is this a policy for companies to turn to making products with built-in batteries, because after about 4 years they will become useless? And the person will have to buy another copy. And that in order not to stagnate the market.
You have memory on spot IF you don't go back to lock mode. You have to just hold the button to turn it off. That way it comes back on where you left it.

Amazing flashlight 🔦❤️😱! The voice is remembering somehow of South Park Mr Garrison 😍 🥇🍀
If only I could get more voiceover business :). Thanks.

I have two field tests of the LR60R on the channel if you are interested. Thank you.
Excellent review. Did you get around to doing the second part yet?

@@L5-SAR Thanks for the reply and there is no need to apologise - your life and family life must come first 🙂I hope things are getting better for you

I don't have any experience with the OLight Marauder 2, regular or mini. May see if I can get my hands on one. Thanks!

That was an excellent review, thank you!
Thanks. Glad you found it helpful. I'm looking forward to filming part 2, which (I hope) should be some time in late June.
Just wow
Now try to make review of Fenix Lr 80r .
I have Lr 80r and it will be great to watch from your test.

Yes, I was trying to show what happens if you go all the way back to Lock. Thank you.
@L5-SAR Gotcha! Great review though. They all are!
Thanks. I should hire you as director of marketing. And, thanks again for adding that extra bit of explanation. It helps everyone :)

Would a cell phone charger charge this flashlight?
