Like fenix but the sofirn q8 pro with 16000 lumens is far cheaper at £80. Not sure if it does output 1600 but is bright and gets hot. Love the vids. Have two fenxi torches and tbh sofirn as just as good.
Is this a policy for companies to turn to making products with built-in batteries, because after about 4 years they will become useless? And the person will have to buy another copy. And that in order not to stagnate the market.
Hi. Do you think all the products of famous flashlight companies such as Imalent Fenix and Acebeam. Big high lumins. Will the future be all built-in batteries? due to increased profit.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV It really is an insurance not to tamper with the batteries. But the big problem is not in favor of the consumer. I have an imalent dx80 4 years ago, a damaged battery, and unfortunately, I did not find a spare part, and I threw it in the trash to no avail. I will not buy more flashlight built-in battery because it is a loss.
@sami-faisal Yeah, it can be a problem. A lot of people can't easily get hold of li-ion batteries, though. Button top high unprotected drain 21700's are nonexistent, and I need them more than nearly any cell.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Here in Saudi Arabia, fenix batteries are available separately at local stores, type 21700 and 18650, and they can be used in many types of non-compact flashlights. But the problem is the flashlight's built-in batteries. dx80 i can't replace it. Also, I have an MS18 3 years ago. The battery is now damaged and unable to be replaced easily. The price of a piece of the battery is about $250. It is expensive.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I have wanted a marauder2 for a while but when fenix came out with the v2 with the better ui and specs and a hefty discount I went with the LR40v2. the marauder mini is a great light also
I have the lr40r v2 and HAD the Marauder 2. Returned it. Flood is nice on M2, but I like the LR40Rv2 combo option, longer battery life (tested), and longer throw of spot (tested) of the Fenix. Also, the lr40rv2 body is a better fit for my grip, M2 is thicker, but that was a minor thing.
Lovely light but Fenix has stiff competition as its competitors are also now producing excellent products at lower prices....and most importantly with replaceable batteries! Fenix take note !
Not sure if you can see some artifacts in the flood and the thrower, the camera shows it. I was hoping you would compare it to the M29 Niwalker. I’m not a big fan of the new switch, it’s not a deal breaker though. Great review as always F 👍
I nearly threw the M29 in there. It just isn't that throwy, There are artefacts in the spot, especially around the corona. The spot Eco has just flickered a little, I'll keep my eye on that
Yes I noticed the flicker, but it was at a lower level. The previous LR40R was a little weak on throw, same with the M29. The new thrower seams too have fixed that, but the flood seems less compared to the previous model. 👍 F
What would you recommend as the best flashlight that i can use respecting to highest possible lumen, distance, durability as an everyday light? I already have a sofirn if22a and a q8 plus, thank you beforehand!
I think Emisar/Noctigon make lights with an optional driver that is super efficient. Definitely my first choice for lights. Depends on size really. The Thrunite TN12 throws well for an 18650 light.
The trend of sealed battery is dangerous. I own one single LR60R and I'm making sure to not buy other lights that lasts as the the batteries within it...

Great review. Love the DM80. Can't beat it especially for the price. The Fenix is nice but wish they would use an sbt90.2.

Built-in batteries are insurance, really. They stop people from putting in cheap cells or cells that aren't balanced. Lower failure rate, I guess.

The glass broke on my LR 40R v 2.0 can you send me the link to where I can buy a new glass thanks
I totally agree about cycling to turbo.
Nice light otherwise, although at a premium cost.

I like the original LR40R better, and not just because it can run off of one 18650.
so no quick way to get to turbo mode from other modes?

Does this flashlight gets hot and steps down at 3000 Lumens Flood Mode setting?
And is the battery replaceable?
Battery built-in. Should hold 3000

Everyone hates them, but manufacturers don't want people inserting Ultrafire or old batteries in their lights.
Super Video, danke
Thanks 🍻
Built in batteries, just like proprietary batteries, is an instant deal breaker. Not happening, not now, not ever.
I said that too, but I couldn't help myself. I manged to talk myself into it, lol. Is there a flashlight rehab program??
Would a cell phone charger charge this flashlight?
Most should.
SOFIRN IF3O is out with removable battery as good as this one. Big NO for built in battery!
Not many people like built-in batteries!!!
Built-in batteries?
Pass.
HARD pass.
I have three Phoenix Lanterns but I hate them I think they are horrible for me other brands do better
I have the FENIX LR50R and absolutely love it. It hasn't let me down like some other brands I use.
I don’t wanna listen to music can you speak you know talk this is a video not a book
Nope, too much background noise. I'm not in the deep south with crickets for ambient noise.
