My husband’s family were wheat farmers in Kansas and they also owned and operated a grain elevator. When they were very young just starting out they worked with a custom harvesting group that started down south and worked their way north all the way to Canada completing the harvest. My husband was a little boy who slept outside under the truck while his mother and sister slept in the truck with the guys sleeping on the ground. Can you imagine spending all summer living like that. He was bathed in a wash tub by his mother and she cooked over a camp fire.
This segment remind me of when I was in college, 50 some years ago, I made and sold apple cinnamon donut holes and donated the money to help women and orphans in the south, who had been displaced by the mechanization of cotton. I ruined a hamburger joints monopoly in the dorms. I love biscotti. THANKYOU

Martha Stewart is a big phony. She has an army of people organizing this show behind the scenes, and then she stands up in front of the camera smiling that imbecilic grin as if she has done EVERYTHING herself! Fat chance of that!
I love Martha Stewart. I watched her videos before I went to work every morning when I was in my late teens. I'm now in my late 40s, and I still remember many of her techniques and proper way of doing things. Her little gems of wisdom (ex. regarding the baking powder, "Make sure it's fresh!") are something that, although may seem obvious, sticks in your head and decades later pop up as the solutions for any cooking problems you may encounter. I've always admired her and hope she's doing well. She'a always had class and elegance in everything she's done - from the best gardening tips,, to handling a scandal where she was unfairly made the scapegoat, to creating the perfect handmade Halloween decorations.
Frankly, I’ve only eaten two biscotti in my life, because as a single mom, I couldn’t justify the extravagance at a coffee shop, so I’m glad for your recipe, although I’m retired, with all grown kids now. Your baking tips are great, but hope some of your gardening tips pop up soon.
Still waiting for Season 9 episodes in particular 903: North America and 904: Austria, Germany & Swizterland. Does anyone know where to stream these episodes?

I’d always tried biscotti out and rarely did it stack up to what I had in mind, but homemade is reeaaalllyy something else!!
