The 19J has a cold start advance on the injector pump, to initiate it you press the accelerator pedal and hold it down for a few seconds, let it up and start with no throttle, it should fire right up. Without the cold advance it just wont fire.
While i agree his battery is poor. My glow plugs on my vw will run for 10 seconds in anything that is colder than -20C. I will often cycle the glow plugs 3 times when it is this cold and it will start within 2-3 seconds of the starting engaging in -35C. Obviously different vehicle than this but I don't think the GP running for 10 seconds is a problem.
@@codyweiler4598 These engines use NGK plugs, NGK state 6 seconds. that has bosh engine management on that believe it or not, both 200TDI and 300TDI
100 amps battery.. clean the contacts .. check the group cables.. it should start in 5 seconds..
What a beautiful truck you have there mate! Where did you buy it?
Your battery is poor, check the earth battery to chassis. Glow plugs only need 6 seconds, yours are probably burned out.
