    The 19J has a cold start advance on the injector pump, to initiate it you press the accelerator pedal and hold it down for a few seconds, let it up and start with no throttle, it should fire right up. Without the cold advance it just wont fire.

      that has bosh engine management on that believe it or not, both 200TDI and 300TDI

    100 amps battery.. clean the contacts .. check the group cables.. it should start in 5 seconds..

    Your battery is poor, check the earth battery to chassis. Glow plugs only need 6 seconds, yours are probably burned out.

      While i agree his battery is poor. My glow plugs on my vw will run for 10 seconds in anything that is colder than -20C. I will often cycle the glow plugs 3 times when it is this cold and it will start within 2-3 seconds of the starting engaging in -35C. Obviously different vehicle than this but I don't think the GP running for 10 seconds is a problem.

      @@codyweiler4598 These engines use NGK plugs, NGK state 6 seconds. The 19J has a cold start advance on the injector pump, to initiate it you press the accelerator pedal and hold it down for a few seconds, let it up and start with no throttle, it should fire right up.
