I wish land rover continued developing the TDI instead of going to tall complicated overhead cam designs. a TDI 5 or 6 cylinder would have been awesome.

Hi Dave A question for your Q&A vid. I would like to add some mods to a 130 on a some what limited budget what would you recommend I spend my money on first to get the best bang for my buck ? Q&A: Hello from Northern Ireland 👋 I’m in the middle of refurbing my own 200tdi. The cylinder head is getting remanufactured by turner engineering & performance gas flowed, I have on the way from Allisport their full width intercooler & turbo technics VGT turbo, already have a 2.5” exhaust system from demand engineering. Would you alter anything else? Ie do you think the system would require more fuel from say a boost pin/ring combo? Recently had new injectors a few years ago. I’m not looking for a massive increase in power just smoother delivery, hope that makes sense. Love all the work you guys do, Adam 👍
Can you keep the original reg considering the number of major parts changed? I want to change my D90 to a galv chassis, but engine & gearbox have already been changed.
@@wearemahker thanks, your work is second to none, but I couldn't afford it. I have a D90, currently with a 3.5 V8 and 4 sp auto. I've junked the old lucas flapper and about 90% complete on megasquirt, although this has not been run yet. I'll continue to watch your channel with interest.
Q&A have you ever converted an Audi 4.2 S5 engine into a defender 90 I was wondering if it could be done as Iv got an engine I’m thinking of putting in to my defender if it fits.
Question, fitting the roof back on, there are 2 seals (land rover parts) but also a sealant which is gunned in. What do you use for that. I've been on my rebuild a while and at that point.
I dream of a Land Rover Defender 6x6 pop top camper with a spaceframe chassis for safety and a reliable engine with no electronics. However, I will never accept the bonnet "hump". For me, it's just not Land Rover.

how much boost can the TDI 200/300 take? Any space for a Sequential Turbo system?
