    Quinoa salad is one of my staples! Yummy and filling. I’m allergic to almost everything so this is a great option for me. I usually eat it with some kind of chicken.

    A tip from my mom. You should add the salt and dressing later when you’re going to eat. It keeps the veggies fresher and they don’t get soggy as fast.

    I use to eat quinoa salad all the time during my uni days too! Mine had cilantro, cucumber, lime, sweet corn, tomato, onion, avocado and i would add chicken 😋

    Made this a couple weeks ago but instead of green onion, I used cucumber. Added minced mint in there too instead of just for garnish. Very good! Also added pepper and cumin

    I absolutely LOVE quinoa and as a high schooler it’s one of my favorite things to eat. Like my obsession with quinoa is so bad to the point that if I was offered to eat quinoa every single day for the rest of my life, I’d gladly do so. Whenever there’s quinoa in the house, my whole family knows to save some plain quinoa just for me bc I eat it throughout the week as a snack, for lunch, or with breakfast 😂😅😅

      For my 70th birthday this past May, I went to a Lebanese restaurant and ordered a personal mezze of salads - including tabbouleh, fattoush, and baba ghanoush - and appetizers - including grape leaves stuffed with rice and mint and kibbeh. I love these light, tasty, vegetarian dishes (except the kibbeh; I love it but it isn’t vegetarian). Instead of finishing with Lebanese coffee with cardamom, I began the meal with it. And what a meal! ❤😊

    So Yummy! However quinoa has phytic acid which acts as a nutrient inhibitors so it’s better to sock and wash properly!

      Not only quinoa should be soaked - also all sorts of rice 🍚 should be soaked in order to reduce the amount of aluminium in it ...
      Further more any grains should be soaked before cooking.

      Only oryza sativa variety
      has Aluminum In it & even
      then only if it is cooked in

      the water used has

      It's not the same as
      soaking quinoa.
      Koreans eat lots of rice
      & many vegetables - they
      rinse their rice as do most
      people but you don't have
      to soak the rice
      Unless you struggle to
      digest it but that's

      Saute quinoa in olive oil, add water or stock, bullion cube, cover and cook til fluffy. Combine olive oil, lemon juice, grated garlic, salt for dressing. Store separately until ready to eat. Mince or dice tomatoes, parsley, green onions. add to quinoa. Mix well.

    Looks delicious. I eat quinoa a lot, since I can't digest grains and wheats. Tabouleh is great in summertime. I'll do some sautéing of the quinoa next time. Thanks for the suggestion. 😊

      You can find it. Search "kisir tarifi". İts not called tabbuleh in Turkey. İts called KISIR. ❤.

      You most likely mean kisir, because we don't eat tabbouleh. They look similar but there's some difference. I'd say that kisir is lighter and easier to palate whereas tabbouleh is very herby, like a pico de gallo with bulgur.

    That looks delicious but please don’t store parsley even in the fridge for over 2 days. I had food poisoning twice because of it and it was BAD

      I mean, were you buying it from the same store? The issue with you might be that your supplier has contamination issues. I know chipotle had major problems with getting clean cilantro and that's why they kept having ecoli outbreaks

      Never once have I heard this. Any restaurant you've been to stores parsley for days on end, and most supply chains add at least 1-2 days to the shelf time before a consumer even gets their hands on it. Maybe you didn't store it properly.

      @@Levacque I apologize for not clarifying. I meant the chopped parsley with lemon and almost everything she added (the entire tabula).

    I make similar but I use cilantro and add
    kale chopped up into small pieces. I add a chopped pear when I serve. I also have apples and strawberries for a variation for my company and friends. 😊💕😉👍🏻

    That is almost identical to my fave, I also add loads of chopped coriander, extra garlic cloves and mint to the veggie mix …
    Simple, tasty and lots of iron in parsley I believe

    I love taboule i know that's probably not the correct spelling. But I had it at a seafood restaurant many years ago in Fernandina Beach FL....i came home and immediately found a recipe for it and it was so delicious. Haven't had it in a while. Now I gotta make it!
