Crunchy pieces of fried garlic are SO GOOD 🤤 especially if you don’t like the flavour of fresh garlic. Which I love so it doesn’t matter but ahhhhh fried garlic chips would be dope now that I think about it 🤔
Hey, thank you for the recipe. I just made it. It is easy to follow and delicious. This is the best steak I ever made thanks to curing it overnight. Stay blessed 🙌🏿
Looks great but my tip is to make your sauce in the same pan, while the steak is resting. All the juice from cooking the meat belongs in the sauce! And the timing is ideal anyway:)
@@seaslife60the color of the sauce doesn’t really matter. Even if the brown from the meat sauce darkens the color of the cream on the mushrooms, it’s not a big deal.
Tried this and loved it! Next time I’d use a little less sage for personal preference. Probably smarter to do less and then add more. Thank you so much for the recipe!
@@texasjaco9385 😂I’m an immigrant in Oklahoma, I’ve heard loud gasps from my in-laws when I said I hate steak and chicken breast(any boneless meat really)
I am in currently in between homes, but keep seeing mouth-watering recipes that I’m dyingggg to try. First there was a tempting roasted potato demo by Chef Thom, then a few tantalizing shorts on Bouillabaisse soup, now this drooling number that happens to hit all my foodie kinks (meat, potatoes, cheese, mushrooms, and broccoli). Thank you- I am going to have SO much fun in my new apartment 😊🤩
This is my favorite thing to have for dinner from my mom and we literally made some tonight for the first time in awhile. I was sad to have it with chicken and rice and green beans for a healthier version, but both are gold. I tell everyone to try it it's much better than just sauteed onions and and mushrooms. I used to drink the sauce and lick the pan clean as a kid. (I still do sometimes haha)
Just tried this tonight. The steak I bought was a bit cheap and lousy, but the sauce and veg saved it. Will definitely try this again, just with a more expensive, better steak.
This is exactly how I like my steak. That sauce looks delish, I usually do horseradish sauce or black truffle butter if I have truffle oil in the cabinet. Fantastic job!

@@ibrahimelmi210 they mean it becomes a gummy texture (as opposed to fluffy smooth) when it’s either undercooked, mashed when cool, or mashed using an immersion blender
This looks yum, rendering the fat cap first makes so much sense actually! Tip : when making mashed potato, add the butter first before anything else so that the mash properly soaks it up unlike when it's been saturated by milk, cream, cheese etc.
Good shit baby girl. You’re right, it is very important to dry the steak overnight in the fridge with salt. This draws the moisture out of the surface of the meat giving you a much crunchier and crispy product when seared via the Maillard reaction.
Genuinely, you know what you’re doing more than 99% of the YT chefs out there. Props I don’t say this very often on this app, but I’m impressed. Keep it up 👍

I have never had a steak that wasn't cooked on a grill. But some of these recipes look Amazing. I saw one where they literally Boiled it in butter. It looks so good.
One of my favourite recipes. I cook off some white wine with the mushrooms to elevate the flavour. So simple. So delicious. Pan seared steak is the best!
Just something with the mushrooms I find they taste much better when you dry fry them first and let them soak up the juices before adding butter and oil. Definitely gonna try this recipe out though!
Rock solid. If you want that sauce to be taken to the next level, wait until after your steaks have seared in the pan and make your sauce then, while the steaks cool down. Empty most of the butter out but keeps the bits in and the oomami will kick up a notch.
Try veggie stock instead of chicken for the mushroom sauce. Absolutely amazing. And if your looking for a thicker consistency mix a bit of corn flour in some water and add a little at a time while stirring the sauce til it’s at the desired thickness. Happy eating.

The secret is giving the garlic an almost burnt level of color. Adds a complexity and depth to the the profile that is just unreal.
