As an Air Cadet i lived close to RAF Stradishall and amassed over 300hrs on Dominies and Varsity's during 1968/9. I have flown in XS 730,732,728,729 and 709.
The Ferranti Flight Trials Unit at Edinburgh had two HS125's. We used them extensively when I was a programme manager of the Captor radar for the Eurofighter Typhoon. I had to buy a BAC 1-11 to use as a test aircraft. Both types were good to fly.

Wow,,,, I had no idea the mighty Hawker with RR Viper engine was still airborne! I was fortunate to fly a 600 and was built like a tank!
Happy Retirement (HS 125)
January 2011.

Military HS125 or Avro 700
Without being negative . Is there a direct replacement for this very important aircraft .
No, because the front line fast jets are single seaters, no need for navigators.
Is That Finningley?
Cranwell.
