It focuses more broadly on cetaceans and the science behind how we’re working to decode animal communication as a whole, to be fair, so I will have to take a look at that paper for more in depth stuff. Just by you saying "Basque/Spaniard I can understand why you would see it that way. Well, like it or not, our language and roots are unique and not related at all to Spanish or French. We are the last indigenous people of the peninsula and stating that truth hurts some people who want us to not be unique or independent. We are Basque, the last surviving natives of this land, we are not Spanish nor French, that's an insult to this culture and the thousands of our ancestors they killed to colonize us.

Cursed headcanon for a cursed conlang: A few Basques went loony at see and decided to do R-18 stuff with whales instead of hunting them and this is what their children grew up talking. The gloss of the text is hardcore compared to the original, calling Edward a cannibal who wants her guts, not just blood. I bet Nguh will appreciate this HyperPirate lore. EDIT: Is there no risk of being disqualified if the lang doesn't have documentation tho?
I do not condone the "R-18" headcanon. It's a pidgin used as an L2 jargon, so there are no native speakers. Well, I do have some quick grammar notes a "dictionary," but it doesn't include any words that aren't in the video, and it's comically unorganized. If I get disqualified, it's no big deal: I made this to participate / get back into making videos, not to win

Just an FYI, Basque-Icelandic Pidgin is not actually a pidgin of Basque and Icelandic, but Basque "mixed with words from Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish" (thanks Wikipedia). It's just called Icelandic because it was written and spoken there. Also great, absolutely horrible conlang, a worthy successor to Seraphim.

Side note: Why do constructed words have to jump from round open back to unrounded high mid and back are you trying to give me TMJ or is your language for coaching people in fellatio? The gratuitous uvular and pharyngeal chaos suggests the latter.
