I apologize if the audio is not the best during the driving part of the video. My external mic I use for the GoPro would not work properly and the GoPro's internal mic sucks so I will get it better next time! 👊
I highly recommend getting a lav mic and a digital recorder. That will up your production value big time! Love what you do. Best of luck with your new career!
AutoVlog A 5.0L Coyote V8 F150 with a K&N Cold air intake and a Borla ATAK Cat Back exhaust will make this truck sound like a beast and it'll make a lot of pretty girls shiver they're bones like no tomorrow.
AutoVlog ford is discontinued 5.0 in 2018 or 2020
keven smith GOD NO!!!! In the mustang too?
CJ Colvin sadly he's leasing the truck so I don't think he can :(
Thanks Matt Damon. I just got a 2018 F150 sport. Can’t wait to get it!
I couldn't un-see it after you said that lol
Great review, good to see one on a truck that the average guy will own. I'm tired of seeing truck reviews with the high end model with all the bells and whistles that most people will never own.
I think this video convinced me to buy 2016 5.0 , today I am going to the dealer and do a test drive :)
Highly recommend it , I have one and had it for 2 years with no problems at all just keep up with your maintenance
I just bought one today and absolutely love it. 2016 xlt long bed
I have the F150 XLT 4x4 EcoBoost 2015. I have put 68k in two years. I run it 80miles in the morning and afternoon between 80 to 90 mph regularly. My truck has shown not one mechanical malfunction. I have the Hankook tires and rotating them regularly like your supposed too, showing normal wear, I won't have to change them for another 15k. I love my F150.. Highly recommend it!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing !
I've never seen a pair of sunglasses and a person so perfectly paired.
Jim McMahon enters the room.
I just purchased a 2017 XLT in Lightning Blue with the 5.0. I absolutely love the sound of the engine. I also have a 2005 F150 that we bought new and we kept it. That is how much we love Ford products.
my dad bought one of these. Its dark green with crew cab and eco boost. After having it for a couple months, my mom (who has never owned a truck, only cars) fell in love with it. She loved everything about it and bought her own ford f150 when my dad got rid of his.
My 2012 has 250,000 miles (I know) and he’s still running strong. Ford will forever be number one PERIODT.
Yes!
Am about to pull the trigger on a 2017 F-150. I appreciate your video! Gives me more confidence in my decision. Thanks!
Did you get it ?
V8 engines are very underrated in the F150s of today. They need to pay more attention to this engine than they currently do.
Zappy595
The ecoboost is the clear option because of the torque and mileage
If you need more power than that you shouldnt get an f150 you need a f350 with diesel
Daniel Raynor the ecoboost 3.5 is horrible on gas and is not as comfortable towing as v8.
+Daniel Raynor Ecoboost engines get terrible mileage, worse than V8 engines.
Hambone no they don't, they are called ecoboost for a reason.
my dad has a 2013 crew cab platinum (curb weight of about 5700lb) with the 3.5L ecoboost and he has gotten 22mpg on the highway with it. you just have to keep your foot out of it, which can be difficult.
Eh I have the 15 2.7 and I absolutely love it. Tow with it all the time and hasn't missed a beat.
Most of the engine sound in the F150's for the last several years are simulated through the radio speakers. I own a 2016 F150 xl super cab 2.7 eco boost and I have been getting 19.8 to 21 mpg in town and 22.5 to 23 on hwy. I have a 4200 lb camper I pull and average 12.5 to 14 mpg pulling it. I like your videos, thanks for sharing.
That's true for the EcoBoost engines.. not for the V8 :) Thank you !
I own a 2015 F-150 5.0L. I love it. Great truck. Very few issues that were quickly repaired by the dealer with no hassles.
when we upgraded from the old 5.4 to the 3.5 ecoboost i missed the V8 but learned to love the turbo spool
FishFind3000 I am doing the same,,,,,,it was difficult to not get another V8 but since Ford only puts the 3.5 in the Raptor the choice was made for me.
FishFind3000 my father has a 2008 5.4 and I have a 2011 3.5. And it's insane when you drive them back to back especially with trailers on the 3.5 eco just pulls forever thanks to the turbos.
Garrett Dahl yea I towed once with the 5.4 it was a 6000lb equipment. Trailer and had crappy if any trailer brakes. Nothing build in that I could adjust. The new ones got all the bells and wissles. Integrated trailer brake, saw control, hill hold. I just about never tow but having it for that one time I did would have made it been a dream. I guess going in head first with a 18" trailer and 6k behind you does it well.
jclaunch00 theres two but I don't see that as an issue. The ecoboost has been out for some time now and there haven't been any issues with the turbos. Plus I'm saving but over $800 a year on gas. Old truck barely got 14 new truck is 20. At 15k miles a year and average regular fuel being 2.50 for my area I'm burning 321.4 gallons less a year and that's $803.57. Two new turbos, right $406.89 left $441.28 that's only $848.17. That's only 44.60 out of pocket for the two turbos after the fuel savings have been applied. And that's only for 1 year. I know labor will probably be around $800 but the turbos don't go out every two years so I'm still coming out ahead anyway. Plus having more hp, more torque, more fuel economy. It's totally worth it. I loved the old engine but when this one is running you can hardly hear it. It's nice an quite to drive and more usable power since all the torque is at 2400rpm just above where I'm normally accelerating at. This way you can see where I'm coming from, I'm not trying to troll. There's are facts and this is legit info. Now you can compare.
jclaunch00 Do you own one or are you just another hater who says dumb shit about turbo charged engines? Search the eco boost torture test sometime. I have owed a 5.4 and 3.5 eco boost and the 3.5 is superior in every way except the sound.
I recently bought a 2013 F150 V8 5.0 FX4, love it, the engine sound is the best.
How’s it holding up?
My wife's fiesta is the tuxedo black, I totally agree with you. It's one of the best blacks out there.
It is :)
I just bought a New 2016 F150 XLT Crew Cab 4X4 Texas Edition. I went with the Ecoboost engine (personnel reasons). Absolutely love it and so glad your happy with yours.
That's a beautiful truck. I am crazy about Ford F-150s and F-250 trucks.
Built Ford Tough!!!
I, in my Surburban, rolled a Ford Expedition, who pulled out in front of me, on to it's roof... The police had to cut the Ford driver, who was now hanging upside down in her seat, out of their seatbelt... My '99 Surburban stayed on all 4... Built Ford Tough...! The best part was the tow truck driver pulled the expedition on its roof back over onto its wheels on its remaining one good side...!
Hey genius any vehicle can get totaled in a rollover, including your beloved Chevy. Don’t be stupid.
@@williamriley2528 that's why every Silverado, Tahoe, Malibu, and Impala has a transmission issue. That's why gm went bankrupt went on strike for months. They're cars don't hold any value, and the Interior is cheap and shitty. Yeah not so tough
@@milesmayhem5440 Oh that stupid Ford bitch totaled my Surburban all right... But my Suburban remained on all 4, and not a 180° roll leaving me hanging from the fuckin' seat... LMFAO...! Wanna talk Ford Exploders...???
@@Azzmelater Both my Suburbans went well over 200K and never needed engine or transmission work... So exactly what the fuck are you talking about...???
I also bought a new 2015 F-150 XLT, Tuxedo Black. Mine is the Sport 4xx4 Edition. 5.0 V8. I love my truck. Never owned a Ford before Never owned a truck before. My rear window does not open. I I had to take my truck back to the dealer because the driver's door made a slight wind noise at highway speeds. They adjusted it. No problems. I also had one instance of the driver's side rear door, bottom latch sticking in the winter time. Mine opened fine, but the latch stuck closed, and the door would not catch to shut it. I sprayed silicone spray on the latch and it free'd it up. The engine is amazing. The 6 speed transmission is amazing. Especially in the Sport Mode. AV, didn't mention the ease of putting it into 4WD. It has 4 Hi and 4 Low, like most trucks, but in really pulls in 4 Low. You can also Lock the Rear Differential for a Posi-Trac mode when going 25 MPH or less, for some heavy duty pulling or climbing. I think it's really neat. Thanks for your video. --Ken, Columbus, Ohio
I just bought a 2019 F150 XLT super crew and I love it. Fully loaded. I'm still getting used to all of the features. Been excited about it everyday.
M Schau ...I just picked up a new 2019 lariat 5.0, 3.73. Loving it but cautious about all the technology...hope it lasts.
People who don't like a V8, I own a 2003 model 4.8 Triton V8 Ford F150 FX4 Crewcab and absolutely love it even though mine is only 4 speed with overdrive. Yes the sound matters, the roars of V8 Vs Tinny sound of 2.7 V6 Turbo. Difference is what, 4-5 full tank of gas per year, I am fine with it. My old 03 F150 is still chugging along with 273,000kms so far.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: Ford produces the finest trucks, period.
Well said from an obviously bright person!
If you like replacing engines and having doors flying open in accidents
Replacing engines???? Ever own a newer gm truck? Afm eats those things alive!
Toyota
@@paulkelsey6411 no they don't, just stop. Hey remember the 5.4 triton?
I have a 2006 F150 Lariet 4x4 with a V8 and have had no issues at all so far - about 80,000 miles on it. Used it for hauling Scout stuff when my son was in Boy Scouts, hauling dirt and bark for yard work, pulled trailers a few times. My daughter learned to drive in it, even jumped a curb in a parking lot and got stuck - school district had to bring out a forklift to get it off a curb. Tough little truck.
Good news. Ford's keeping the V8 and paired it with the 10-speed transmission. There also coming with a 3.0 Powerstroke diesel as well.
It is also dual injected for more power and efficiency. Not sure how I feel about that though. I like advancement, but I don't feel like that's one of them. Now if they made it like the other ecoboosts with dual injection and twin turbo to run on 87 octane.. well.... holy hell man.
This is the best door setup for someone like me who works out of their truck. I went with a 2.7 ecoboost and threw a tune on. Wicked fast.
Love my 2013!!! It's got 104K miles (yeah I drive a lot) and hasn't had any issues! Probably always going to own an F150!
You don't drive a lot. I got 74k on my '16
I have a '13 STX extended cab, v8, just turned over 30k miles. I love it. The tuxedo black color is awesome (that's what mine is). I can nearly go from Wichita, KS to Denver, CO on a single tank of gas, and have in fact made the return trip of 560 miles on just over 3/4 tank with a strong (40mph) tailwind. My main gripe is that there is almost zero storage in the center arm rest, and that little electrical gremlins are starting to appear. Sometimes the window controls do not respond, and sometimes the audio track select function glitches. That aside, the truck has been reliable and quite enjoyable. It tows very well and gave me no trouble, even at over 10,000' elevation. It also survived a hail storm that absolutely destroyed my neighbor's car- it got some dings, but was still driveable. FYI my mom was in a wreck nearly a year ago with an F150 extended cab (looked identical to mine) that ran a red light going 70, and the truck's driver walked away with only a bruise. My elderly mom wasn't so lucky (she survived, but nearly lost a leg when the truck tore the front end off her car).
You and that 5.0 need to get a freaking room.
Nice vid. I just got built and taken ownership of my 2017 f150 with 3.5 eco. Love it so much and the only thing the V8 has is sound over it. That's where it ends. U can't compare it to the V8 as it beats it in every way. Fuel economy is crazy good so far but it's new and will get better as it breaks in a bit. All I know so far is that this F 150 renews my faith in Ford which I lost a few years ago. JMHO
Right on! I agree 100%. I have a 2018 XLT with the 3.5 ecoboost. Fantastic engine........... love it!
This channel is amazing! Keep up the excellent work!
Thank you! much obliged !
Haha no problem!
I purchased a 2018 ford F-150 about two months ago. Got the crew cab, ten speed transmission, able to change driving modes and auto stop start at stoplights. I really like this truck and had a 2005 F-150 before traded for this one. Have had good luck with Ford trucks and have no complaints about it.
I'm a Chevrolet guy, but this was a great review. Thumbs up!
Thank you :)
2013 FX4 4X4 here. 140,000 miles. Towing my 4000 lb boat around Florida. Never missed a beat.
I really like ford trucks and I hope to get one in a few years.
I highly recommend it. Best decision I ever made dumping Ram.
Edwin Newton Your gas mileage will be comparable to a tank haha
Edwin Newton Never sell it
Trace Carson gallons per mile?
Edwin Newton Depending on the engine more like 16-18 avg.
I own a 2015 Ford F150 Platinum with the 3.5 Ecoboost. Other than one computer issue, and the windshield camera getting replaced, it has been a great truck. It has the ruby red paint with the tinted clear coat. It's the best factory paint job I've seen on a production vehicle. I had a 2014 F150 with the 5.0 engine. I bought it for the sound as well however, once I got the Ecoboost, I was sold. The torque makes this truck crazy fast, especially in sport mode. Love that option too!!! I hope the turbos holdout when the mileage reaches 100K and beyond. Being a Ford fan, I like the Ford reviews. But being a car junky, I like your test drives of other vehicles as well. Nice work!!
I am a ford guy but if ford gets ride of the V8 in the F150 I will without a hesitation buy a gm truck most likely a Silverado 1500, a truck is not a truck without a V8. if you watch one of the newer Fastlane truck videos they did a real life towing mpg test and the 2017 Silverado with the 6.2 V8 got better gas mileage that the 3.5 EcoBoost with the 10 speed. it the same thing now that happened in the 80s and 90s, manufacturers downsized in engines and eventually in the early to mid 2000s the brought back big engines and big cars.
Daniel Lockwood
A 3.0 Tdi (VW) has more power than a 5.7 or even 6.3L gas engine.
You can do better, it's just that Americans aren't interested in that, they can't handle the compression changes or something. Maybe when aluminum is all used up they will make super efficient 5 stroke variants with combined diesel & gas parts for the best efficiency & power output.
Jay Edlington The 3.0 TDI will soon be banned .
Daniel Lockwood Exact opposite is happining, Big cars and trucks are doing away with big engines, even the new Raptor and GT run V6 Eco's now and the Eco F150 outsells the 5.0. Not only will ford eventually do away with the V8 all together but so will all manufacturers as they are no longer needed with todays technology, and that technology is getting even better with every passing year.
***** its because the climate change, we all need to think before we buy v8s etc. Dont get me wrong but I love v8s too but when you live somewhere where the climate change is evident you think differently
XxGoldeagleXx1 nope, just lame ass ford
I bought a ford f 150 back in 2002, I still drive it today. 190,000 miles. Yes I keep them till the wheels fall off and I cannot bolt them back on, I am going to buy my last Truck very soon, I have an old 4.2. This time I want a 5.0. What bothers me more than anything about my Truck is the rust. Looks like I wont have that problem with the new models. Anyways nice video. Looks like with twin grand kids coming, Ill be after the super cab. The extended wont due
I have the same Truck except it's a super crew or whatever ford calls it, I have the 5.0 as well. It will rip
Outdoors With The Morgans That's great man!
Nice !
FYI, I also have a new 2017 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara bought two weeks ago, If you want to review it let me know. Im about 1/2 Hour north of the Burg
I own a 2016 3.5 ecoboost Black Platinum FX4. It’s been 2 years and 24k miles. The truck is amazing and so much fun to drive. I
the one guy who could probably sell me a truck has quit the dealer ship, oh well ....
Love the videos. I recently purchased a 2015 F150 xlt supercrew. Absolutely love it. Keep the truck videos coming.
Thanks ! 👊
I wonder if autovlog will see my comment this time?
Furmaneth me two.
Royalking3 he saw me last time he is the first UA-cam to see my comment
Ok😐
I see you guys :)
AutoVlog yes
Had a 1998 F-150 Ext. Cab and put 345,000 miles on it and no problems. Just regular maintenance, oil, breaks, minor things. Bought a new 2010 same model. Still, no problems, no encounters which were negative. Agree with you on your points. However, I have only one major criticism of this vehicle's mirrors--and other trucks like them--the distortion built into the mirrors drives me crazy when attempting to hitch a trailer, back to a garage door, or try to fix my position when backing. Get rid of those mirrors and replace with standard mirrors and the truck would be a marvel.
"The next truck we get will deffinetly have this engine right here"
Next truck is a 3.5l ecoboost lol.
Yes
Just bought virtually the same truck, same great color. The main difference is the fact it’s a supercrew. It’s smooth as smooth gets! Great video btw!
How much it cost you?
That's what I would get too the 5.0 l v8
It's the way to go :)
They drink oil right out of the box
I Currently have a '12 ecoboost with 247k. I wish I had that 5.0 sound but I'm still loving it. You get great highway mpg btw
Awesome vids bro! Love watching your Vids and good luck with your new "full time" job ;)
Thank you sir !
I was set on getting the v8 until I drove the ecoboost 3.5. The power makes it a night and day difference between the two.
2 years later this truck now has a supercharger and some upgrades mods on it.
Mines 5 years old now. Only a blower actuator. And front brakes and new tailgate step up handle..
Still love it..
I have the 2017 xlt super crew with xtr package 5.0 V8 first truck I've owned and love it! I've driven Chevy and Dodge before but this Ford is awesome!
I just bought a 2018 F-150 XLT super crew with just about every package you can get on it without making it a Lariat. So far I have a whopping 400 miles on it and liking it so far. I agonized between the 3.5lt and the V8, and ended up getting the 3.5 because of the higher tow rating. It is good to hear from someone that has owned this generation of F-150 for a while and recommends it.
16.1 mpg? wow, that's good for the v8. my stock 14' ecoboost only gets 12 to 14 mpg.
My 2.7 sport 2wd averages 23mpg in moderate Raleigh NC traffic. On a 2 hour trip this weekend on backroads running 60mph it ended up averaging 26mpg! Towing my 1600lb boat it drops down to 17-18mpg.
Trey Stone that's what an na v6 gets lol.
my 1999 Chrysler T&C gets 14.3 mpg lmfao!!!!! it has the 3.8L v6..
Truck mpg in a minivan. gotta love it.
My 13 5.0 I get between 16-18 depending on how much farming I do. Once I get above 60-65 I can't get over 17.5 probably due to my gear ratio
Cole Train what size tires are on it? my 2011 3.5 eco gets 20-22mpg with 32in tires and a 3.31 rear end
LOVE!!!!! this channel, a you tuber who doesn't say they don't make much money and goes out and buys a $150k car,I know about the new car coming but your up front and honest, again LOVE!!!! this channel
It's no quite $150K but thanks for the support ;)
Hey what's up Autovlog. Just wanted to say that I love your videos and I hope you can get your Mercedes!🖒
Yo ! Thank you and of course I will be getting it :)
Same here my favorite blogger
When comes to F150s 👍💪👏
Thanks for the video, I am buying a used 2016 F150 XL 4X4 with the 5.0 V-8 and 8000 miles. Cant wait to get it.
I have a 1995 F150 XLT 4x4 4.9L (300 In line 6 banger) the best engine Ford ever made, and no growl. O well, I gave up Varoom for the can't kill engine. You have a cool truck, but the 4 door will be the best for you for your GROWING family. To bad the 4.9 is not in production anymore. You nor your stepdaughter will never live long enough to wear it out. Ford trucks are the toughest longest lasting trucks on the road. Don't let dodge or government motors change you. Ford is the right choice!!!!!!!
I-6's are great. So simple and balanced. BMW and Cummins still use them. Unfortunately they are so long and can't be easily used cross-platform like the V's or I-4s.
Tundra rocks
Mark Capps I got a 1994 F150 with the 4.9 as well, straight piped. My dad says it sounds like a farmall with a bent valve. Its not very fast but it'll lay a set of marks for days.
I’ve owned a 2016 XLT crew cab 3.5 Eco Boost for 29 months . Ford had two recalls ,fixed a blown speaker ,and front warped brake disc. Great truck. I regret not buying the Lariat with the Sony sound system . I got a Kenwood sound system and Katskin leather . I love this truck. It hauls ass ! I also added remote start from volt solutions for $200.
Have owned 3 F150s in my life and love them!👍
I have owned my 08 since 2009 and it is a fantastic truck
i wish there where motorcycle channels similar to the car guys. (im not a car guy by any means but i like the content)
👍🏻👍🏻
You've probably heard of him by Royal Jordanian has content similar to this for motorbikes.
Ninja Xray me to lol
I think they die really fast lel :( sry for that
there are tons of motorcycle channels....doitwithdan, jakethegardensnake, chaseontwowheels ect
I just bought a 2017 F150 SPORT with STX and FX4 packages. I like the fact it's a race red crew cab and wanted the ecoboost six. The eco runs like a V8, with better milage. I don't miss the V8 sound as I own a stage 3 Roush mustang, that sounds like a beast.
Nice video! Do you find that the truck scratches very easily? We have a 2016 F150 XLT Crew Cab in Shadow Black and it scratches so quickly! I had it waxed and coated before winter up here in MA, didn't seem to do anything! Thanks for your input!
Not any easier than any other color.. black just shows it more
Cameron Todd
Why are you scratching your car? Maybe you need a new clearcoat (enamel).
Good luck driving through purse-scratch parking lot land.
All mass production vehicles use the same basic paint, EPA laws concerning it. Black scratches no easier or harder than any other color, the difference is black shows up easier.
Jason G Tundras scratch easily too
Cameron Todd Thats just new vehicles in general. The new paint is much more environmentally friendly but it doesnt hold up as well.
Here is my review of my 2017 F 150 Supercrew Cab 4x4 V8...
We have just leased/bought the 2017 Version, of this above truck with these differences-
SuperCrew Cab- Get the 4 door, seats fold up in back, unbelievable amount of room...lots of leg room-
Black Cloth, with center console inside, I highly recommend this 'Sport' package... I am 6' 2" 215 lb I fit nice, and I can stretch out my legs under the pedals in cruise control to just stretch the legs on a long drive without stopping...
Nav System, is/was on sale with a $500 rebate so Net price of $250 very sweet, and the touch screen is really easy...
My only wish, is that Nav would be more user friendly, for passenger to operate when in motion. The Nav/Info/Radio/Phone Sync is all geared to only a driver's use, so that might be my only minus on whole truck...
Towing in Tow mode- Your brakes may last forever! The Trans downshifts to hold your speed where you want it, climbing, or descending a hill... it's really awesome, cruise control, and just point it where you want to go! Really computer controlled even you old guys will be impressed [hey I be old also] ... [Truck has 3 trans modes, Sport/Tow/Regular on the superb 6 speed]
Cab Space- Larger inside than my 'Old' F-350 1997 Crew Cab how they did that? IDK...
Ride- very nice, not truck like, not car like just right... very comfortable on a cross country road trip...
Quiet inside, almost no road noise...
4x4 Mode- towed a trailer in soft sand, and I was impressed... worked perfect...
Towing MPG's- we got 12-13.5 mpg's when towing a Max Weight Trailer... Expected, lower MPG's... What I didn't expect, was the "Extra" available towing power for any hill, or wind condition. My Truck has balls, and plenty of power to spare, in any instance...
That in itself, is a sales point for the V8...I do not believe an EcoBoost v6 twin turbo would exhibit more torque up hill power... really-awesome...I am really surprised at the HP/Torque available to my right foot, any time I needed it!
Trailer Brake Control- Located right at your right knee/hand location. Perfect spot, even though I didn't need to grab any extra trailer braking above and beyond the normal needs, I was ready on a long hill. The dash lay out is perfect. The accent colors match and look great...not pieced together from different accents... Really well thought out...
Black Paint-Shadow Black... I bought some Carnuba Wax and used orbital buffer for a shine to kill for! Beautiful! It pays to seal any paint...The Ford Shadow Black- Really Beautiful...
The Twin Panel Moon roof- My woman wanted one- This truck came equipped with one. It is awesome, except when you leave it open in a sand storm overnight...haha on me...
We drove from Central NY State, to S. Ca... an over 7400 mile ... round trip....
And am already planning my next cross country trip...
We, LOVE this truck, it has exceeded our expectations !
Good Job Ford... I can not imagine a better truck for my needs...

V8 = good choice,.. lots of room to service that motor w/o turbo's everywhere :)
The engine sound is completely manufactured by "tuning" the intake and exhaust plumbing. It's great to see you enjoy it so much, you are likely a highlight real at several marketing meetings. Glad you enjoy the truck, not trolling, just stating a fact you may not be aware of, you can "tune" almost any engine's sound.
Ford vehicles are amazing I wouldn't have anything else
Adam LossAl 100% agree with you on that
Adam LossAl my family has mainly Ford trucks and suvs but what are your thoughts about exhaust fumes leaking in the 2014 to 2018 explorer's.
I guess you have never had a 1998 Triton. You know, the one that spits its spark plugs out. 25 dollars apiece times 8. Yep, 200 dollars just to buy the plugs. hahahahahahahaha, Amazing how marketing over rides common sense.
@2:48 that little kick before you crossed your legs was well executed!
One thing I have never said in my life, "beautiful sparkle."
i love youtubers whose comment section is full of people complaining that they dont respond, so they respond

Bought my last Ford F-150. Had 3 F150's with 5.0 in past 8 years. All three had the classic 5.0 issue with exhaust manifold leak. Of course, Ford knew of this issue for years and never addressed it other than changing the motor in 2012's.
After dealer told me that my last Ford had the issue and would cost a fortune to repair, I took the truck to a Ram dealer to trade it in. Love my new Ram!!!
I would buy that truck outright
TacoTom
Ur an idiot.. Furd 150 Turds are all junk
RAM TRUCKS
The same can be said about those piece of shit Fiat-RAM trucks, LOL.
HEMI LOVER
Man you really like to go on every video about ford trucks and complain. Like find something better to do.
Niles Nibogie I know lol, I'm not a fca or Toyota fan, but I don't watch vids with those products just to say how bad they are.
RAM TRUCKS please don't make the rest of us Ram drivers look bad, most of us are former Ford and Chevy/GMC drivers and we still like the other trucks.I still love Ford trucks.
Just bought a 2017 XLT with the Rocky ridge alpine package it's a little excessive but wow what a vehicle. You said that you leased your vehicle and have a year left on the lease. My daughter found this package as I had no idea it even existed. It's kinda like the Shelby agreement where the warrantee is still in place. I have the shadow black with a ruby red fade that looks awesome. your video helped sell me on ford you may use that. Thanks again. V8 coyote is a beast
How is this truck in terms of maneuverability? Does it feel huge and cumbersome around parking lots like some full size trucks, or does it feel easy to deal with its size and blind spots while driving?
My wife thinks so at times but I don't.. depends on who you are
Its easy its like and suv i got a 16 f150 supercrew
as far as maneuvering and handling from my experience it ranks best to worst
GM
Ford
Ram
although, the ram is supposed to have the best turning ration, it just feels much bigger than it is.
The Diesel 2018 F-150 is gonna be really cool that's what you should get when it comes out, better mileage and better capability if you ever decide to haul anything
every bad thing you said was ok... but that door not opening is fucking ridiculous! what if the truck was on fire.. and you were stuck back there. not being able to get out of a vehicle is very scary...
Kernal Lockbit lol the rear doors never opened on old club cab trucks.
its a 2015..... you know, there IS meaning behind the “dont buy a first year new gen vehicle” they’re ticking time bombs, no matter the brand, no matter the year the FIRST year is always the worst, not to mention Ford fixed it, so its nothing now
RyanPlays Exactly that's why ai bought a 2017 explorer over a 2016 or 17 pilot, felt it would be more reliable, a yr and a half later, so far so good.
Damn Brother, 16mpg is fantastic gas milage. My 2011 Silverado with the 5.3 V8 only get 14 and now that I have around 83k miles that number is starting to drop.😏 You have a really nice looking truck for sure. Great vid as well.
Thanks man !
2018s get even better with the 10speed
I wonder if autovlog will respond to this
That would be awesome
👀
AutoVlog ayeeeee
I have the 2014 F150 Super crew with 3.5 eco, I miss the V8 sound but the eco is a torque monster and I pull a boat, so it had the largest tow capacity with the 373 rear dif...it's been a terrific truck!
keep going bro, your fan from Saudi arabia>> who has crown vic 💔😍😜
If you still own your truck wait till the radio just randomly turns off and never come back on. I have the same truck. Love it other then the radio issue and no it's not a fuse.
I like the f series of fords.
Great diction and vocabulary (what a relief from the the mumbling pack). Excellent review. Will check your other stuff Mr. AutoVlog.
what happened to your guinea pig fusion???
Thank you for taking the time to create the video. Very much enjoyed!
Nice review man. Your reviews are like American Top Gear minus the bullshit and melodrama.
lol thanks ! 👍🏻👍🏻
I have a 2015 Ford F-150 XLT that is nearly identical except I bought it in Florida, so some included options were different. I average about 17 mpg city/20 mpg hwy, but I have also gotten 23 mpg on a highway trip. Mine has 58K miles now, the Goodyear Wranglers lasted until 53K and probably would have gone at least 5K more, but I changed to an AT tire. I am very satisfied with this truck.
33k miles any car can do without major problems ......... Even some shitty Hyundai Accent or Ford Focus
Pie 4life idk for a Ford product you're pushing it to be honest
Good information, thank you for clear talking with no crazy background music. I just got a loaded 17 xlt fx4 eb.third one, so far all good..love theV 8 too...tx scott
👍🏻👍🏻
Thumbs up and sub for choosing the 5.0 V8. :)
Great Review, I have 2011 5.0 w/ 125k and haven't had any notable issues, thinking about upgrading, definitely sticking with the 5.0 as well!
Can you get an F-250 for review?
great video im currently shopping around for an F 150 myself. On a side note. Where I work, we make that back window. that window has been through many engineering changes. one of the first ones to be changed was that plastic piece that was getting caught on the seat back back.
Get a Ram 1500
You gave an excellent owner evaluation for folks considering a Ford truck
I want a pickup like that but my wife says noooo you commute! so I'm stuck with a damn new prius and she gets the cherokee trailhawk ughhh
I feel for you bro
Kevin Hickey I'm sorry to hear that man.
Kevin Hickey you should get a used Ecodiesel Ram. Or wait until the EPA allows Ram to sell it new again!! They get some pretty amazing fuel mileage for a truck you should see mid 20's for everyday use and highway close to 30. I have a 5.7 hemi because I love the v8 and see 20's on the highway. Lifetime Mpg is about 19 mpg for me and I do not drive like grandma either lol. Love my truck!!
Kevin Hickey you needa lay down the law and tell her you get a truck or you won't lay down pipe!!!
ouch!!!
I have just subbed to your channel you are one of the best content creators out here for the Ford F150I just Purchased a 2015 XLT
