I used to own van and cars previously till Uber and Grab came along. No more parking, petrol, installment headaches after I scrapped my final car. I am a happy man ever since. Haha. I attend this Car Show to update my self with what's new in technology. I am surprised that so many China brands have entered Singapore market.
Woiw so many electric and hybrids there. The BYD cars are impressive, too bad we can't buy them in America because of the tariff taxes and ongoing import/export wars with China. Nice coverage of this show my friend.
Kenzo, you would have noticed that the car prices are extremely high. This is because you need to bid for a Certificate of Entitlement (COE) before you can buy a car. At the moment the COE price is around S$100k. The car itself has already been severely taxed by the Singapore government. Including the COE, a normal 1.6lit Japanese car would now cost between S$170k to S$200K. A Tesla would cost around S$255k. Wow! How much does a high end Tesla cost in the US?
In the spacious venue, you can see various car models from each manufacturer, including pre-owned cars, as detailed in your overview. People are being given explanations while getting inside the cars, and there are also families present. Your video camera captures the enjoyable and lively atmosphere! To own a car in Singapore, we have heard that because there are measures to control the number of vehicles, everyone must first participate in the bidding to get the COE. So seeing so many people attending and enjoying the Car Expo event made us think there was a lot of interest in cars!☝️✨ We also relaxed and enjoyed ourselves while being interested in antique cars.🎶 Yosh and Iku
Yosh and Iku, I filmed this car show in a hurry as I had to rush to the Singapore Turf Club to film the final horse races. I will have more time at the next car show to do better filming. I missed the antique cars and a few car models this time. Cars in Singapore are the most expensive in the world due to government policies. However, people and businesses need cars for various reasons. So there's no choice but to buy cars at the high prices. This and other factors translate to the high cost of living in Singapore. The COE now (October 2024) costs around S$100k. Examples of Japanese models such as Honda & Toyota. Category A (cars up to 1.6l) cost between S$170k to S$200k. That's crazy, right? Category B (cars above 1.6l) cost between S$200k to S$250k European cars are much more expensive. Tesla is not represented at this show. Elon Musk said that the Singapore Government has been 'unwelcome' to Tesla. In China, the top Tesla model costs 200K rmb (S$37k) In Singapore the top Tesla model costs S$255k with COE The cost of 1 Tesla in Singapore can buy 6.5 Teslas in China
@@SingaporeCityWalks CM, It’s true that price is so high that it even lacks realism. @@Factory-qq2wk COE has a lifespan of 10 years. When the time is up, you can either scrap your car, even if it's still good, at an extremely low price or pay for a new COE to keep the old car. Therefore most people choose to scrap their cars. Singapore's aim is to have zero car growth, due to our tiny land size. This means that soon, we can only buy a new car if an old car is scrapped. Supply is fixed and demand will grow. COE prices will continue to go higher.
Simi HYBIRD? The Lexus LBX is also very LGBTQX. LoL... So many people looking forward to buy car but coe quota is only around 5K per month spread across several categories. It is not even enough for the high demand. Continue to expect all time high coe prices.
Fantastic video 🎉❤❤
Thank you for your support my friend.
Stunning beautiful video as always do you own a car yourself it seems like it to me 🚘

Wish they brought in more 1 litre or 1.2 litre cars for people who are just using the car for small families or ladies who wants to drive!
HYBIRD......hahahaha.... awesome sia... 😀😀😀
What an embarrasing mistake by Lexus. They corrected these in the afternoon 😅
So many cars. Especially all are hybrid and electric vehicles. Thanks for sharing.
More Chinese brands represented too. Matthew, thanks for watching and commenting.
This looks like a great car show, my dad used to drive a Proton saga & Mazda car in the past, I love cars too. 😊
With COE at 100K, it's too expensive to buy a car now. I can only look but not buy.
The Lexus guy who stick the Hybrid sticker should be fired lol 😂 brid and bird also mix up 😂
Say hi to my bird lol 😂
They fixed the Bird in the afternoon of the 1st day. I am surprised that a luxury car brand can make such mistakes. Thanks for watching 😀
No Renault Duster and other Renault Cars
Saw Mark Lee today when i went....still sibei Beng lol
This Beng got money to buy cars. We go to see, see only.
Don’t have Porsche?😊
There were at least 2 Porsche at the Supreme Cars 'Pre-owned' section. No Porsche booth.

LgBtqX haha. You are funny. Since GE is coming, they might find excuses to increase the COE quota (when near GE) so that prices will drop temporarily.
No Nissan, Subaru and Merc. How can one call it as the biggest car show in Singapore.
Got Marcedis la. But no Audi 😂
@@tand9854 There's at least 2 Audi at the pre-owned section. However there's no Audi booth.
@@SingaporeCityWalks because Audi had theirs at Suntec 3 weeks ago, their own roadshow. Smart.
@@tand9854 OIC, thanks
Really ugly design..except price😂
May I know which brand/model you are referring to?
