- The 2023 BYD Dolphin Dynamic Standard is one of the cheapest EVs on sale in Malaysia at RM100k. It packs 340 km of range (WLTP) and supports up to 60 kW (DCFC), allowing it to be recharged from 20 - 80% in 30 minutes.
Being the cheapest doesn't mean it's spartan, it comes with features such as a full suite of ADAS, a snazzy infotainment screen that rotates, Apple CarPlay and leather seats.
For this price, would you consider the BYD Dolphin over a Toyota Vios or Honda City?

Ive driven this byd from kl to kb kelantan. Its possible. Very comfy car. Comfy maybe as near as vellfire. For the price and build quality very worth it.
The standard range? Mind sharing which route and where do you stop for charging?
I'm also curious if you've driven the standard or extended model for this particular drive. My concern with the standard Dolphin is the performance on the highway.

I will buy EV for primary daily use, ICE mpv for long range ( balik kampung ) , price rm 100K is steal, but im waiting local assembly. Price with reduce drastically
May not be reduced if there is no economies of scale. Now there is no excuse duty for cbu mah

Tesla battery a lot catch fire too.
lithium ion batteries tends to catch on fire on EVs they need to change it to sodium ion, whether its byd or tesla, hopefully not too many blind purchasers invest in lithiium ion EVs
