I absolutely love my Leshy. I'm very lucky to have owned knives by some of the UK's top makers jacklore, ben orford etc and the Leshy is the one I keep grabbing for a trip. Great video Ste All the best buddy
That is my absolute favorite design. I love puukko knives. Back when i was a boyscout in the 1980s my scout master had a real Finnish puukko. So ive always had a love for them. Seeing a modern full tang model makes it even more appealing. I just got a BPS AURA . Haven't used it enough to have a opinion yet.
Aup ste absolute fantastic video really enjoyed it. Brilliant knife that buddy might start bloody saving up for one of those now 😂 well reviewed hreat to see you back in the woods
Hi guys. New to the channel. Gorgeous looking knife that I will have to look into. Recently purchased a Rob Evans MK2. Check him out to guys. Great vid and I also can sympathise with your recent plight Ste, as 2 years ago I lost my house, 2 years away from mortgage completion. Hang in there butty. It does get bette. Awesome channel and so glad I came across it. Rock On 🤘🤘
Beautiful knife and appears very high quality! I'm awaiting delivery of a Bushlore Condor Mini with walnut handle and pretty excited for it! I think the Leshy would also be a great addition to the family and I love supporting small businesses. Thanks for sharing! Also, "I just found these glasses on the floor" Love the humor at the end!
😆 thank you Justin m8. Great to have you back on the tube. I will be checking out your latest vids soon pal. That bushlore condor seems to be a popular knife?
Such a beautiful blade Ste😮!! It is so incredibly satisfying making feather sticks, especially when a knife just glides through them like that 🙌. This video makes me so excited for my Kyle Noseworthy Tuckamore knife, and I'll be sure to send pictures when I get it😁 🥰. Also, the quote you have tattooed on yourself is quite prophetic, and I agree with it wholeheartedly 🙌.
A lot of good stuff there Ste! Great to see you up and about. My two pennies worth: I always cut the hazel coppice down to about inch/two inches above the floor. Scandi grinds are my fave for feather sticking (shout out for the Condor Bushlore). I love practising one log fires in the winter to start the big fire in the front room. I won't comment on batoning with a knife, there's too many trolls out there - suffice to say if it's all you've got in an emergency then fair enough. The knife looks great and performs very well, I can tell you're pleased with it! Looking forward to future vids. Take care, Eddie.
Hey, my loyal commenter 😄 great to have you back, sir. Yep, it sounds right regarding the coppice length. I believe battoning with full tang modern day knives should be accepted as a viable menthod. Love the knife buddy. One I haven't had before. Take it easy fella.
@@BushcraftWithSteOutdoors Yes batoning with a knife, if done correctly, is very acceptable. I think I've watched too many cringe inducing videos with gonks smashing away through 16 inch thick logs!
Saw someone else using this Leshy too, the company must have been on an advertising campaign giving these out to UA-camrs. Consider yourself lucky, I saw that the knife is sold out and it’s £200+.
Great looking knife mate. Is it available overseas ... like Australia ? How would it go on our hardwoods like Jarrah, Karri or Marri? We tend to see a lot of mass produced knifeware but I'm not really aware of many...or any Aussie based makers of high quality knives. Unless you do?
Hi, josh here from fyrd woodland blades, I'd be happy to send one to Australia. As far as hardwoods, I have found the steel and edge combo great for carving our native hardwoods, oak, blackthorn, hornbeam ect with no issues.
@@Avalonbushcraft hey mate , thanks for the quick reply. I would love to order one. please tell me cost, eu or au , how to pay and how to freight? I'm in SES ...state emergency service , so I'd like to showcase it to our crews doing some hard core rescue and bush work. Tell me about what other gear you do...the firestarter would be well received down here. Tell Ste he would probably find it difficult to do a demo to camera like you promo down here. I was petrified a bloody dugite or tiger snake was gonna fang him but then I realised you don't have to worry about that as we do. Bushcraft here is always secondary to what can kill you and how quickly. So everything is based around emergency resources first, then bushcraft, then comfort. A knife like yours cuts down the time needed to set up and achieve two and three on the list to survive in our harsh environment. Well done.
no pressure but if you do get a distribution channel overseas I would love to hear from you. Ste has amazing bushcraft even if he's not an Aussie and he seems really impressed with your knives .
Hi from another Aussie Josh. I would also be very interested in aquiring a Leshy in 3mm AEBL. First saw it on Rob Evans channel. What would be cost shipped to Melbourne Australia and how do I go about ordering? Cheers mate @Avalonbushcraft

Greattttt video my friend 👍🏻👍🏻. Could you please tell me how much the knife 🔪 & the stag handle ferro rod cost each in U.S. dollars ??? . All the best to you. 🤝
I'm guessing around the $300 mark for the knife and around $40 for the small fire steel. Could be more could be less, but not much in either direction. Exc postage. There are links in the video description. If you would like to contact the maker directly. Thanks for stopping by. Take care.
Yes!! That Leshy is a must!! Great knife, really great knife. Take care Ste.
Thank you kindly 😉 it's a cracking forest tool.
