3:15 With the bolts it makes counting the rotations so much easier so that you have matching pieces. The layer count and twists really give a great pattern.
Beautiful knife. That is amazing craftmanship sir. Would love to own a blade like that. But probably have it on a wall showing it off. Be afraid to use it.
It's a welded up collet that fits an impact ratchet gun. The bolts are to adjust fitting. An electric gun might be better I found my small compressor running out of power too soon!
The pattern is beautiful. However, the knife itself became ugly as the pattern covered even the blade to be sharpened. It looks like a plastic knife from Temu.
You make the nicest looking Damascus . Top tier! Well done!
Genius using an impact gun to help you twist like that!!
Beautiful design. Love that pattern in that blade. Form and function.
Gorgeous.
Top shelf craftsmanship 👍
Thank you very much!
wow, another nice piece of work. keep them coming... fun to watch you create.
That is one of the prettiest knives i've ever seen.
Wayyyyyyy better than the other guys' knive channels! Subscribed!
Absolutely gorgeous blade

The snake wood handle and blade pattern are just beautiful! Maybe too beautiful to use. 😂
Beautiful functional art with amazing craftsmanship.

What a beautiful knife.
Wow....just...WOW!
The knife looks cool 😄😄
You know it’s a good sharp blade when the blade rings after cutting paper!!
That's a bloody good idea for twisting. Why has nobody else done it that way?
Cool video and even cooler knife. Just awesome 😎
Absolutely beautiful work

Ótimo trabalho !
Knife had me saying a few explicit's. Thanks. Chef's Kiss.
Thanks for watching
That came out amazing. I thought you had twisted it too tight.
you should clean up all the offcuts from previous damascuss project and do a canister Damascus knife with them
Good idea 👍
@@lewgriffinknives216 it gives a really cool and unique pattern and is always interesting
Wow!!!! Awesome looking pattern! Can the coffee etch solution be saved for later like the ferric chloride, or is it only a one time deal? Thanks!
It can be saved but gets a bit mouldy so I make it fresh ☕
@lewgriffinknives216 That makes sense. I didn't even think about mold. Thank you!
Precioso cuchillo
Stupidly beautiful ❤
was the final blade from the original billet we saw being twisted??? doesn't look like.... anywho, nice work.
Yes they were stacked on top of each other. Thanks for watching
Felicidades, maestro. Muy buen trabajo. Donde podría conseguir la pintura verde para el templado? Gracias.
CONDURSAL Z1100 not sure depends on your country but there are alternatives like it
what did you use for the twisting of the billet? it looks like some drill/driver attachment. TY
Impact driver with a welded collet
unglaublich schöne Handwerkskunst
LEW whats that attachment u used for the twist? looked like it was on a drill? id love more info on it. twisting big bars gets real tiring lol

@lewgriffinknives216 thats what it looked like. Absolutely genius!!!! Thank you
That’s beautiful work are you in America or maybe Australia??
My sister was gifted something very similar to this
West of Ireland, a bit far away!
Wow❤
What can be the value of this particular knife .
A lot
What does twisting the hot metal do??
Twisting causes the metal to become dizzy. Once dizzy, it's easier to sneak up on it and bash it with a hammer.
Linda faca, por quanto você vende uma peça dessa?
Damn how much?
How much for a pair of knives for my father. I’ve got a budget of about 8600$
Can you sell me one like this?
That's WD 40? 0:10 sec
Probably querosene
He has said kerosene before. Burns off and leaves thin layer of soot to prevent oxidation I believe.
It's diesel but kerosene is fine aswell
@@lewgriffinknives216 Would diesel be as helpful for welding stainless damascus?
Would you make a kitchen knife on commission?
If it's a reasonable price, I will buy one.
Good Oky keren
The pattern is beautiful. However, the knife itself became ugly as the pattern covered even the blade to be sharpened. It looks like a plastic knife from Temu.
All that effort and you used the wrong brand of coffee!!! 🤷♂️🤦♂️ Lol 😂
Sexy ass knife. I want one.
Ну ты бы ещё деревянную линейку вместо рулетки к горячей заготовке прислонял для разметки, чудик 😂
You need to educate your self on the difference in patternwelded steel
And what Damascus steel is.
Wootz steel, damascus and pattern welded are all the same thing pretty much except for a few differences in the process.
Nice Shurap mid video drink rip-off
Dope AF results, @lewgriffinknives216!
