Thank you for making this very moving film and telling the stories of the men who fought here and the civilians who lived through it. My father was one of those men who landed on Uncle beach 80 years ago, with 4 Commando. Vlissingen was a special place for him and his ashes are scattered there. Our family will always be grateful to the Dutch people who were so kind to us and who continue to honour the memory of their liberators.
On this day 80 years ago my Dad in 4th Battalion KOSB aged 20 entered Flushing. Would have been 100 years old last month. He was one of the lucky ones to make it back Rip Dad

Fascinating. Back in the late 90’s I visited Vlissingen many times with work. I wish I knew the history then a I would have visited the sites
