Little owls
I've been trying for many years to film little owls inside their nests but until now I've been unsuccessful. So this clip represents a great moment for me.

Unfortunately, the location of this nest is too remote to be able to live stream to my channel as I do with the other owls I watch. But don't worry I'll keep you up to date with their story.

Little owls (Käuzchen in my language) are somehow special to me. I love their beautiful sounds and their personality, they are what I imagine should go on a wizard's shoulder :-).

She was so hungry! She tried to find a morsel left with the fur. She gobbled down whatever that was, looked up at the opening and seemed to be hoping for more. Her partner is going to have work hard to keep her fed. I look forward to seeing little downy fluff balls.
It was a worm 🪱 she was given by the male, it’s very exciting that I have finally got a little owl nest with a camera in it 😁

@@hepzib928 it is. Its been awhile since this nest box went up and despite their initial interest the little owls decided to nest elsewhere. Then recently it appeared 1 of the stoats took a liking to the nest so this news was a very unexpected WONDERFUL SURPRISE!

Can’t wait to see more of them!! We actually sponsor a pair of little owls in our local rescue station, in my country they’re almost extinct due to superstition of them bringing death and people killing them. It makes me so happy to see how they live.
Where are you from no body should be killing little owls they are so adorable
@@RobertEFuller Czech republic, at this point in time only about a 100 pairs are left living in the wild. At this time people don't really kill them for superstitious reasons, but their population was never able to recover due to the lack of food and also because of some agricultural policies.
