As a child, whenever it would rain while I was at my grandma's house she'd take me outside to dance in the puddles along the street. We'd get completely soaked and then come inside and dry off so we could eat pumpkin bread, her very own recipe of it.

We sometimes forget that it is possible to have rain without the extreme storms that have been in the news for weeks. A gentle rain that replenishes the greenery, that clears the air, that washes dust and dirt from surfaces. This vid, with the rain and the rolling thunder, is great. I wish I was like the rain. Knowing when to be there, when not to be there, or rather, existing intentionally, making others acknowledge me. Rain can be feared and loved, it’s both a symbol of creation and growth or destruction too. It brings life and can also kill. In a way, it’s simple water flowing from the sky, no threat in that, but it’s our consciousness that decides whether we love it or hate it. But since we are who we are, and rain is rain, where does the love and the hate come from? I guess it depends on who I am asking, in this case no one. I hope you have a good night. Sorry for the rant.
You are correct that everyone has their opinion on rain. Too much or too little can be a problem. The rain in this video is nonthreatening and i hope many people watch and feel calm and relaxed by it. Thank you for your comment.

You are like the rain. All things are. There is no such thing as an actually, intrinsically "out-of-place" phenomenon. All phenomena are completely interdependent and can *only* arise (or pass away) when the causes and conditions necessary for their arising (or cessation) are in place. You *do* exist "intentionally" in the sense that it is literally impossible to exist "accidentally", though this more vague talk of "making others acknowledge me" seems to suddenly turn from a cosmic scope (that is, a vantage point taking into account the whole 'gestalt' of reality) to the arbitrary, objectively-unreal distinctions made by dualistic, interpersonal language. Rain does not make anything acknowledge it, or move with some concept of self-directed intention. It is nonsensical to say "we are who we are and rain is rain", ultimately. Both "we" and "rain" do not actually carry any fixed kernel of "what we[it] are[is]", and "both" "we" and "rain" are artificial constructs projected on a reality which is, in fact, (again) an entirely interdependent, seamlessly interconnected, ever-fluctuating process of cause and effect in which, at the very root, there is absolutely no separation whatsoever.
I'm only saying this because I'm sure you could successfully penetrate beyond this sort of vague, disjointed, histrionic yearning and see for yourself *exactly* how you have *always* been *just* like the rain if you sat with it longer. It won't end the yearning and suffering, of course, but it *does* forever change the apparent relationship between that aching and "you".

I had a rough day today. Nothing in particular, just things adding up. So I'm glad i found this. Storms are relaxing to me but they aren't common where i live and something like this isn't something I'd look up because when I do that its mostly thunder.

This is the best one on UA-cam. The rain is paced so I can hear the individual raindrops and the sound of rumbling thunder works better, for me, than any sedative.
