queen latifah definitely achieved that goal! she’s a legend 🙌🏽
This "Cleo" character brought out the best in her
Jada Pinkett rocked that box braid bob. That’s my signature look too.
Queen Latifah Rocking The Cornrows To The Back
It’s so cute
For real all of them! Love this movie been on a binge lol anyone recommend were I can watch this online for free? So tired of renting them out 😅
You still wearing that in the 2000's???
One of the only movies I could watch over and over again without getting tired of seeing it... #90sClassic
Happy 25th anniversary to a timeless classic. It should NEVER EVER under no circumstances be redone.
Yes. Nor should it EVER have a sequel to it for that matter!
QL should've gotten an Oscar nom for this!!! I mean she went back and forth from Cleo to Khadijah to Cleo to Khadijah back at this time. And she sold both opposites!!
You don't need act if you really are being yourself in the sense of sexuality. This was her 1st time to actually just be "out there" of film
It's amazing of how MTV goes behind the scenes of the movie 'Set it Off" in 1996. F. Gary Gray was a genius to direct this first ever black woman film since he directed and co-starred in the movie "Friday" in the year 1995. 😀
This has always been my favorite movie and always will be, I know I've seen it at least a couple hundred times since 1996 and It will never get old, it's a timeless classic. Hats off to F. Gary Gray for directing one of the best action/drama films in movie history!
Believe it or not this is actually a great movie, it kind of sucks it doesn't get the recognition it deserves
believe it or not?! 😂 everyone knows this movie is fire
They are female legends. Apparently- the globe’s had issues
The song playing when Cleo was being killed , Is a great song ❤️❤️ really made the part of the movie , even more sad to watch ; which is almost impossible to do.. love this entire movie ‼️❤️✨
I Wished It Would Have Played BONE THUGS -N- HARMONY "DAYS OF OUR LIVEZ"
I wish they show how they film cleo death and the car chase
@@entertainmenttv5201 probably was too much going on and on a time limit to catch behind the scenes. They had to shut parts of LA down to film that scene for a small amount of time
This is QUEEN LATIFAHS MOVIE , FACTS
Set it off is a classic 🔥
I got movie blue ray director's cut last mounth, never get old.
@@darkblade8164 does it have the deleted scene of Stoney and Nate if so can you please post it
Queen Latifah should have won best actress for this film she was hardcore woman I'm watching this film right now on Tubi
She's so pretty 😻
yeah she is
That movie is now a classic
25 Years Of A Classic!!!!
Set If Off is still my favorite movie till this day i still watch it allllllll the time!☺❤
Jada was that girl who was in every hood movie back in the day
Celebrating It's 25 Years
I've Watched It All the Time on BET
I love this. People have to accept that they never knew Jada as herself. We love her just through her roles. We should allow a line to be drawn between personal and entertainment. ✨✨
This comment needs to be pinned. They don't understand we see her image and brand. We don't know her, her husband or any other celebrities. None of us ever knows what happens behind closed doors.
@@msoddballz5763 ❤️
@@msoddballz5763 we do now 😂
@@Realcordy we only know what they allow and you interpret it the way you like.
I miss the 1996 Jada.
So am I miss & love Jada's character, her acting her hairstyle bob box braids
And she like my childhood crush from the 90's my girlfriend
😗😙👩🏽❤️💋👨🏿💕❤🛏🌃🧴🥥💧🧴🫒💧💆🏽♀️🍑🍑💆🏽♀️🍑🍆🍑🍆🍑🍆💦💦💦😙😙😋
This movie was so good these women were phenomenal it was action packed indeed the thing I loved most of all they were loyal to one another great friendship between them all they stood by each other regardless of situation there was everything in it funny sad and raw moments.
The central relationship in the movie is also not just a cliche romance - although there are two of them- but rather focuses on the four friends.
Jada was flawless idk why she messed with her cheeks.
i wish she stop
It’s because he started to get heavy wrinkle lines around her jawline and so she got the cheek injections to remove the hard wrinkles and lines
She aged
she messed everything up
Most of Hollywood is plastic
MTV capitalizing off that Jada drama I see.
Legendary
I love this movie so much. Classic and Queen stole the show.
She was so beautiful
love this movie!! 🤎
Set It Off is my favorite movie.❤
I love this movie alot
And now we're in our 50's. Iconic movie & we're still here‼️🙌🏾🔥
Why I just realized F gray was the one who told eziel to get his punk ass up off the floor in the Friday movie
You and me both lol
Yes, he would always make a cameo in the films he directed.
You are the, women of , History 💯👍
Still can't watch Cleo die 😥
I honestly think Tisean and Frankie's deaths hurt more
@@Anzomax2 Cleo death really hurt idk maybe it was because of how many bullets she took. I mean they lit her up!!! T T's death was really sad a son no longer had his mother. But Frankie's death wasn't to me. I mean really you're going to point a gun at a police officer's neck surrounded by other police officers and they just were going to let you run??? No.
@@nr30199 remember the conversation her and Detective Strode had before she pulled her gun out?
Frankie knew it was over then.
What Frankie did was no different than Cleo jumping out the car firing an Uzi at cops. Of course she's going to get lit up.
Cleo death was more dramatic but Frankie's death had a message for Strode. She could have easily killed him but she spared him knowing she was going to die anyway.
I can’t watch that part either. It’s too sad 😞 especially with that music. I don’t watch set it off anymore
Lol
This is the Jada that I miss
Jada was so cute before she went nuts.
My Favorite BLACK GANGSTA MOVIE 🍿 FROM THE 90s!!! 🍿🍿🍿🖤🖤💯💯💯 IDC 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
Set It Off became a classic no doubt, this movie ended up putting tears in my eyes at the end, very touching well-cast movie an all-star women cast.
Hitz to Set it Off
both greatest 90's movies ever, but this one is my favorite... smirk
Happy 25th anniversary 🔥
One of my favourite movies! Bravo!!! 💜💜💜
Honestly love how this flic came out, Latifah and Pinkett stole it all the way. Don't get me wrong, Fox and McGinley were great and so was Elise but those two stood out a lot
Jada was so pretty back then.... Queen Latifah stayed so beautiful!
I never thought that hairstyle fit Vivica. 🤦 Good ole days....
They did so good in this I just got done watching this again.
Queen 👑 is absolutely gorgeous 😍
Love behind the scenes
I just blush the whole movie watching jada her lol she was so fine
Classic Hip Hop movie.
My only favorite movie of all time ❤
F. Gary Grey is a legend. He made a movie with three other legends. If any of them had been missing this movie probably wouldn’t have worked.
Back before Jada lost her damn mind ...
I love this.
Love this movie, love these people . Thank you ❤
THE SCENE I LIKE IN SET IT OFF IS THE ARGUMENT BETWEEN CLEO AND STONEY, WHEN CLEO LETS THE MONEY GO TO HER HEAD AND SHE RUNS THROUGH IT AND STONEY TELLS HER THAT SHE IS FLEXING TOO HARD WITH THE MONEY BUT CLEO IS NOT TRYING TO HEAR THAT.
Should have got an Oscar nod for Queen
Lol Queen was lit 🌱 lol
Classic the best🔥🔥🔥🔥
I miss Jada when she was this even though I wasn't around that time I still miss her not because she is beautiful she was cool funny loving and caring but now she's pretty fucked up not saving husband from ruining his career and not accepting a joke from their friend I feel so bad for her from what she used to be to what she is now
We was all in our 20s back then Queen but now we in our o no o no o no no no no 50s now
mijn best moevie i ken.
It amazes me this movie didn’t get a nomination or anything smh
One of my favorite movies🥰
She sounds much more Baltimore here
when I saw this movie it never occurred to me that Queen Latifah might be a lesbian
Because in those days, lesbianism wasn't pushed like it is today.
That was my favorite part with the 2 desert eagles crossed behind her back and car jacked the guy in the suburban
I love the characters in this movie. It's because they're women, this movie's a classic!
Probably the greatest police brutality promo movie ever made.
How
Ion think u finished the film😂
@@Anzomax2 they killed her brother without identification who he was

She use to seem so cool now that she’s older she comes across a little weird but maybe she always was I’m talking about Jada by the way
right! i think the money/fame got to her head. will’s too lol they don’t even seem like normal people anymore 😭
@@sumdayzzz Will seems more normal than her though Jada be saying some weird ish on her show lol
Dana was smashing all her co stars
i would too
MTV needs to get it right. This is December 1995!
Legendary movie 🎥 #25 yrs of set it off wow 🤩
Set it off (1996 film) is a sequel to The little Mermaid (1989 film) where Ursula trades in her voice in order to become human. That is why Ursula in the movie Set It Off can't speak. She is in love with Cleo , the Queen Latifah character.
Please give me the name of this movie so I can watch it again. I forgot the name please
Set it off
When was they jumping off buildings?
The only building we all can see them on is the rooftop of a house.
I didn't expect to like this movie since its not that well known but God damn its a hell of a movie.special!!
it’s definitely well known!! it’s a black classic! a staple!
She was cute
She need to leave Will alone lol
Do 50 cent's mtv stuff, put it all on the board and I'm expecting a baby, all my mtv stuff and catalog, I'm expecting
If they was to remake this movie it would be so dope I bet
that woman destroys Will smith mind.
Jada had just got her teeth done
Girl stop acting scared over a gun
shes di
why you gotta put black people in the movie about robbing banks…. smh
So😂
W movie.
This woman emasculated her husband and son.
Lol.. I guess males dont emasculate each other and tease other males and make them feel less of a man or not "MASCULINE enough" ... stop it little Alexandria

This movie is NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF!!!
Parents if you love your children keep them away from GARBAGE like this movie was…if you don’t understand what I mean then figure it out! 😳
Why do you say that?
I watched this movie with my sisters and my mom when I was like eight and I’m 19 now and I turned out fine
oh just shut up
Women super heros?? These characters are far from super hero. They are women that women should NOT be like.
It's just a movie..
If u dont like it, than why are you even here watching the "behind the scenes material"
@@nancyceuleers5606 negative Nancy is at it again being all negative as usual. Those characters- as stated meaning she knows its a movie - ain't super heros. So yeah..agreed!!
Ummm have you seen the movie? Their back stories lead to the whole point of the reasoning behind the movie..so yeah they can definitely be seen as super heros depending on how one sees it. Your opinion is just that... *Your* opinion. Kick rocks 🙄💅🏽✨
@@adorexxaneisha ON GODDD GET EMMM
