Scouring UA-cam for songs with aro/ace themes and I really like that this one doesn't depict love as inherently good OR inherently evil. It's important to realize that just because something is right for someone else doesn't mean it's right for you. By trying to shove yourself into a box that fits someone else's idea of happiness, you'll only cause more pain for yourself and the people around you. There's no need to mourn the absence of something if you know it won't make you happy
if you haven’t heard it already Alone and Sublime is a good one by this same artist with similar themes
I would say that love is inherently good in the world, not romantic love of course. But if everyone loved each other, things would be perfect, even hate can be good too.
You've probably found more songs already but they have a few more that speak to me as an aroace as well, like "the knack", "love and truth", "let's fall in love", "far in time" and "o my heart"

I think this song is about not idealizing or romanticizing the idea of being in a relationship. It's easy to dwell on being lonely and single but being in love can't "cure" our problems. Relationships won't fill the void in our mental health. Someone can be in a relationship that looks lovely on the outside but things are toxic behind closed doors.

Personally, I think this song is about the fear of committed relationships. Once you enter a romantic relationship with someone, you'll fall out of love with them, become 'heavy' and 'sink'. As a result, the person doesn't want a romantic relationship because they fear it ending badly. In my opinion, i think the song has more to do with a fear of commitment than aromanticism or asexuality. However, I completely understand why this song might be relatable to an aro/ace individual.
