In the video I refer to the metal pieces that hold the string at the bridge as “metal rods”, that is not what they are called. They’re called “saddles” just like on a strat. The only difference is these saddles lock the string in place and don’t allow it to move. The “metal rods” are black screws that fine tune intonation.

very good explanation of the beautiful pacer guitar !! thank you Mr
thank you
Cool guitar, I’m planning to make this my next purchase…. Would you recommend upgrading to Floyd Rose Original, with some Grover Locks?
Thanks! I don’t see it being a necessity to upgrade but the FR Original would be a superior metal if you have the extra cash. The main thing I’ve seen with the special is scarring from the cheaper metal that’s used. I’ve never played a FR Original but I would assume the scarring isn’t as bad because of the harder metal it’s made out of. The special has stayed in tune just fine for me so I don’t see it being a tuning stability issue but more of a longevity issue. As far as the locking tuners go, unless you’re planning on not locking down the nut I don’t see why you would need locking tuners. The string should be just fine locked at the nut. Having said all that, I am no FR expert by any means. I have put some time in on standard strat trems and set the Floyd up using the same principles and works exactly the same. Good luck! You’re going to love the guitar!!
@@MrArnoldarnold ok great thanks for the reply…. Can’t wait to get my hands on that bad boy
