Something's off here. She told Vogue in August 2017 that her mother died of AIDS when she was 10. She describes having vivid memories of her. However, it also says she went into foster care at age 9, so that doesn't really add up.

Because she's desperately trying to be "the iconic artists with the sad sob story" it's hilarious and both pathetic. She has the potential just not the guidance or self mind.

Maybe it was her adoptive mother ??

Because she'll say anything she feels will get the emotional response she's looking for. Exactly the sort of manipulation one ought to expect out of a feminist

It’s possible the journalist made an error. also, she could be referring to her adoptive mother possibly dying when she was 10 and her bio mom at 2

I guess when your mom dies at the age of 2 you need another parental figure to raise you or did you think a 2 year old could raise herself? Never heard of adoptive parents or step parents?

She told the media her mother died when she was 10. Was she lying then or is she lying now? Also, would Harriet Tubman support her rapping about her pubic hair on the Gillette commercial?
