Always fun moving calves to new area some are stubborn and others will run and pull you around that straw looks very nice farm life is the best hard work but enjoyable 😊
Aaron is my favorite when you are working with the cows. I just wanna come to your farm and pet all the cows and play with them. Lol thank you for an awesome video.
Great videos, reminds me of the way my dad and I use to farm in the 70s. Really miss small farm life. Your videos take me back to a better time, thank you for that
Marking cows - I just use a marker to write whatever message I need to leave for myself or the rest of the family, right on the cow's udder, where the person doing the milking can see it up close and personal like. My daughter usually clips the udders during their pre-fresh period and that leaves a nice smooth udder surface on which to write, or draw.....yeah, sometimes I get carried away with my udder messaging. A fella has got to have some fun every now and then.
I see some using wood chips, but it looks more like sawdust, which just looks like a horrible thing to use. Woodworkers are cautioned about sawdust in their lungs, so it can't be great for cattle either, plus it can be more injurious than straw because of stiffer fibers causing splinters and such.
Fortunately for #11 she gets up. Being older I suspect that was going to be her last calf?? Sad when that happens but it is how it goes in the dairy life. Sure has been a mostly nice winter.... Could use a little more moisture though. Yup we use paint Sticks too
Paint sticks, we are a free stall so I tried collars but it was too much of a pain to take them on and off. The ankle bracelets loved to fall off in the pasture
I would enjoy your channel more if you had a microphone hooked to the front of your shirt or if you didn't keep swiveling your head back and forth when talking. The constant rise and fall of volume is quite annoying. Otherwise, it's clear that you really care for your animals and have a great relationship with your family.
That's extra equipment that many farms don't want to be bothered with (keeping track of, charging, wires tangling, etc). What would be better is if UA-cam offered a simple compressor to equalize volume levels when they're uploaded.
We use the pink spray marking paint , it seems to show up better on the dark colored cows.
Great video Gierok Farms

What a beautiful day to be working outside !! March sure can be not always so warm. This Winter will be one for the books. Thanks 😊.
I see some supervisor cats making sure you're on the ball!

Spring time is come. I can feel it to. Hello from the Nidamoia Farm Family in Bavaria, Germany
For marking treated cows we use tailhead spray paint the paint sticks dry out to fast here and get hard
Love watching your ST Bernard they are beautiful gentile beasts
Wheelbarrow ride, reminds me of fun times with Grandpa
Enjoy your videos! Lots of hard work! Thank you for being a farmer!
I love the hat that I got from you
Just an observation, your one of few UA-cam dairy’s that use straw for bedding. Was always my favorite.

Looks like an ol small bulk tank repurposed as a water tank. Use to think those were big back in the day.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO AARON 😊
Great Video!
Enjoyed your video have a great day.
thank you
We used those kind of markers at work to write job numbers on steel to
Great video
I have found that your St. Bernard is one of the most fun sights to watch in your video's. What a sweet dog......
Great video, dairy farm I do work at uses colored spray to keep track of which free stall section they belong in, milking 900-950 cows right now.
A squirt of blue coat!🤣
We always used the same crayon/paint stick you had

Straw was probably baled with a baler that has knives in it cut long stems.
We use different colored duct tape. Green-bucket Grey-3 teat Pink-dry and so on
👍
Last night when we were watching the question came, how old is your oldest cow & how old is your St Bernard?
The international axial flows really broke down the straw just kick the bales to spread the straw
New subscriber here Where are you guys located? Thanks

Why do you put cows outside at night in the winter?

I have a yellow tape I wrap the cows leg and the stall pipeline plug in.
Me too !!
