What I see from this duology, OOTD is the dark side of DC where they chose the crown that later corrupted them, which led to Sasha getting killed at the end. JUSTICE is where the girls are there to destroy the crown. 9mynameis1 mentioned another world in her letters, and we get to try out the app that explained paralleled worlds. I’m guessing 9mynameis1 traveled across worlds [OOTD and JUSTICE] because she mentioned friends and also she doesn’t know who to trust anymore. At the end, I think it’s 9mynameis1 who stepped into the frame because she wanna fight and avenge Sasha. We gotta wait for the members to explain the story.

Jumping on here to say I am so happy with this comeback (aside from Siyeon and her break, I hope she get's better!), and SO DAMN EXCITED for the tour!! I'll be at the Seattle show as I can't believe they are coming to my corner of the U.S. and I know I at least will show out and represent PNW insomnia! This song was exactly what I wanted from DC/DCC. OOTD was a departure from their normal sound and while I personally was fine with it, I worried it would alienate the fanbase or hurt their commercial success. It was by no means a flop, but 2 comebacks that don't land the way they should from a monetary perspective can be devastating for a smaller company pouring a lot of resources into these MV's and albums and promotions.

The edition in this video is so amazing !!! Like, this is the best I've seen from DCC! I am seeing so many biblical references, which dates back to the album title! Support dancers are all in black, while girls have at least a little white in them (all except Yoohyun Mmmmmm). Your second chorus is surrounded everywhere by darkness, but it still fights. Darkness tries to master them, but they fight against her! "She is the knight that shines all over the world, she is the warrior who gives strength and courage to all parts of the world, she is the eternal legend that will be remembered in all parts of the world, she is the dreamy of dreams." . This was such a different MV for them! I didn't expect religious themes coming in it, but they razed. My only observation is that I wanted both MV and music to be more chaotic and intense the longer it lasted. This one is a dreamy of dreams. The divas are back ..❤👏👏👏

there was one thing I came up with when it comes to layers of meaning: The MV overall is relatively.. "minimalist"? There is some CGI but it's mostly just them dancing in a room. The Apocalypse trilogy was like 99% CGI (lore-wise wouldn't necessarily be related, but it help did make me notice it), and OOTD had all the live editing stuff over the video like it was being photoshopped in real time as we were watching it. And with OOTD's album being "VillainS" and Justice's album being "VirtuouS" it made me wonder if we're supposed to conclude that all the editing and the "fakeness" is evil (doesn't sound like a stretch), while this video which from the title alone clearly is meant to represent the "good", is much more "clean" in a way? Especially with the digital aspect that feels very much like a concept similar in some ways to what they've done before (like with the mask theme in the Dystopia trilogy representing the cyber bullies hiding behind masks and just the general idea of your online persona being a mask you take on), but Dreamcatcher's concept has always been protecting us from evil (as a dream catcher does), so I think it's cool how they keep trying to find new (and relevant!) ways to express that ♥ The Dystopia trilogy and Apocalypse trilogy both seemed to follow a similar pattern though: 1. We're the victims (Scream "Please I don't want to scream" and MAISON "Please someone fight for us" 2. We're the protectors/fighters (BOCA "I'll shut that mouth" and VISION "Forward march!") 3. It's kind of a lost cause... (Odd Eye "No more Utopia" and BONVOYAGE) So now I'm curious how this will go. Because so far it seems more like: 1. We're the villains 2. We're the protectors/fighters So the second part is similar but the first part is _not_ about them being a victim or needing protection, and maybe I'm reading into all of this too much anyway, but it's interesting that the theme of Justice _is_ pretty similar to that of BOCA and VISION, isn't it?🤔

dreamcatcher's music and visual composition + storytelling relied heavily with contrasts (tempo, high/low notes, dark/light clothes, background setting (yeay boca and maison)) within one single song. They are playing an interesting gamble here by separating this contrast in two album, separated 8 months away. OOTD is a very low and mostly bass song while justice is a high and guitary song. I can understand when people say "ootd is generic gg song" and "justice is just spamming high notes" because they only read these songs partially. I wish DC could try doing OOTD and justice back-to-back during their live concert so people can see~

I havent searched for any theories online but to me, i feel like its one of those situations in which the crown gives you power but at the same time that power also ruins you. For instance, Gahyeon has the arrow power and she hurts herself with it until she decides to use it to break the crown. Yoohyeon helping handong up to me is a clear refference to that smal clip in ootd that they fight on set and handong helps yoohyeon up when cameras stop rolling. But this time in justice it seems like a comeback from that but genuine, whatever fake borderline real dispute they were having is behind them now, they are united against the real enemy, which is the unnatural part of the industry that corrupts everything. They want to go back to the simple past when music was not a battle ground, but since going back in time is not possible anymore they need to come together for a final fight and destroy the origin of this evil so it wont ever get this bad again.. at least its how i like to see it 😂 Oh and congrats on the tickets! Im going to see them too, but in brazil in september. I was lucky to get one cause there is only one concert for the whole country in a small venue so thats upsetting, but well... it is what it is... lets have a great time with them 😊
I'm tempted to buy tickets again for their show. I don't know the venue I might be going to( it is also a 5 hour+ drive BUT they are worth it. BUT I loved seeing them live last year! I have heard the song less than six times. I'm not impressed about the song itself at the moment, but I suspect after a few listens it will kick in. I had issues with Bon Voyage initially, but love it now. I don't like the video at all and find it quite disappointing compared to the video for OOTD which was sublime. Watching the Showcases and the first Live performance, I strongly miss Siyeon. The saving grace is that Handong and Sua give strong vocal performances which helps. Hopefully Siyeon will get well soon.

This was such a different MV for them! I didn't expect religious themes coming in it, but they razed. My only observation is that I wanted both MV and music to be more chaotic and intense the longer it lasted. This one is a dreamy of dreams. The divas are back ..❤👏👏👏

there was one thing I came up with when it comes to layers of meaning:
The MV overall is relatively.. "minimalist"? There is some CGI but it's mostly just them dancing in a room. The Apocalypse trilogy was like 99% CGI (lore-wise wouldn't necessarily be related, but it help did make me notice it), and OOTD had all the live editing stuff over the video like it was being photoshopped in real time as we were watching it. And with OOTD's album being "VillainS" and Justice's album being "VirtuouS" it made me wonder if we're supposed to conclude that all the editing and the "fakeness" is evil (doesn't sound like a stretch), while this video which from the title alone clearly is meant to represent the "good", is much more "clean" in a way?
Especially with the digital aspect that feels very much like a concept similar in some ways to what they've done before (like with the mask theme in the Dystopia trilogy representing the cyber bullies hiding behind masks and just the general idea of your online persona being a mask you take on), but Dreamcatcher's concept has always been protecting us from evil (as a dream catcher does), so I think it's cool how they keep trying to find new (and relevant!) ways to express that ♥
The Dystopia trilogy and Apocalypse trilogy both seemed to follow a similar pattern though:
1. We're the victims (Scream "Please I don't want to scream" and MAISON "Please someone fight for us"
2. We're the protectors/fighters (BOCA "I'll shut that mouth" and VISION "Forward march!")
3. It's kind of a lost cause... (Odd Eye "No more Utopia" and BONVOYAGE)
So now I'm curious how this will go. Because so far it seems more like:
1. We're the villains
2. We're the protectors/fighters
So the second part is similar but the first part is _not_ about them being a victim or needing protection, and maybe I'm reading into all of this too much anyway, but it's interesting that the theme of Justice _is_ pretty similar to that of BOCA and VISION, isn't it?🤔

dreamcatcher's music and visual composition + storytelling relied heavily with contrasts (tempo, high/low notes, dark/light clothes, background setting (yeay boca and maison)) within one single song. They are playing an interesting gamble here by separating this contrast in two album, separated 8 months away. OOTD is a very low and mostly bass song while justice is a high and guitary song. I can understand when people say "ootd is generic gg song" and "justice is just spamming high notes" because they only read these songs partially. I wish DC could try doing OOTD and justice back-to-back during their live concert so people can see~

Vocally speaking, most of the vocals are pop style. Unlike many K-Pop songs, there isn’t an attempt at making the singers sound more mature with vocal fry. For those of you who don’t know, vocal fry is the popping sound you’ll often hear at the end of sentences. In some dialects of English it’s considered standard, and in some languages it’s considered a tonal change that’s meant to differentiate words and vowel sounds. But if you speak American English or Korean, this is not a standard vocalic feature - older generations associate it with an attempt to be cool and thus failing, younger generations associate it with maturity or sultriness. Even though both sexes use this at equal levels of frequency, it’s most often associated with (and owned by) women. In K-Pop, I’ve noticed that this is frequently used to sound sexy (Hani from EXID, I’m looking at you; you used this A LOT in “I Love You”.) Dreamcatcher, on the other hand, doesn’t add this quality to their voices, which means to me that they’re working hard on keeping their pitch together as opposed to going for a specific aesthetic in their voices.

I havent searched for any theories online but to me, i feel like its one of those situations in which the crown gives you power but at the same time that power also ruins you. For instance, Gahyeon has the arrow power and she hurts herself with it until she decides to use it to break the crown. Yoohyeon helping handong up to me is a clear refference to that smal clip in ootd that they fight on set and handong helps yoohyeon up when cameras stop rolling. But this time in justice it seems like a comeback from that but genuine, whatever fake borderline real dispute they were having is behind them now, they are united against the real enemy, which is the unnatural part of the industry that corrupts everything. They want to go back to the simple past when music was not a battle ground, but since going back in time is not possible anymore they need to come together for a final fight and destroy the origin of this evil so it wont ever get this bad again.. at least its how i like to see it 😂
Oh and congrats on the tickets! Im going to see them too, but in brazil in september. I was lucky to get one cause there is only one concert for the whole country in a small venue so thats upsetting, but well... it is what it is... lets have a great time with them 😊

I'm tempted to buy tickets again for their show. I don't know the venue I might be going to( it is also a 5 hour+ drive BUT they are worth it. BUT I loved seeing them live last year! So I cant keep my excitement for them, I just have to see them live again 😄 I am glad they are coming back to Florida again, As we don't get too many Kpop concerts here.

I have heard the song less than six times. I'm not impressed about the song itself at the moment, but I suspect after a few listens it will kick in. I had issues with Bon Voyage initially, but love it now. I don't like the video at all and find it quite disappointing compared to the video for OOTD which was sublime.
Watching the Showcases and the first Live performance, I strongly miss Siyeon. The saving grace is that Handong and Sua give strong vocal performances which helps. Hopefully Siyeon will get well soon.
