Odd eye was my in to Dreamcatcher because I found it on iTunes randomly and went to watch the MV.....fell in love instantly. Boca also has a zombie mv version that is awesome so can't wait to see yall react to that for maybe a Halloween reaction!

Scream and Boca had six members (Handong was in China) Odd Eye had all seven. In the backdrop of the trilogy, there is the suicide of several prominent Kpop idols (Jonghyun, Sulli, and Goo Hara). There is line in Boca: Too many angels dying now - that is a reference. Besides the Apocalypse trilogy, there is the Nightmare series, which has six songs. They also have some great stand alone title tracks: Deja Vu, Rose Blu, BEcause and the fan songs: Full Moon, Over the Sky, REASON. They also have a small, but great Japanese discography that goes more metal. Also, they share some of their production team with ATEEZ, so there are number of DC/ATEEZ fans (including me). They are definitely not the most popular female group in South Korea, but they have a large international following.
I also remember when Ateez debuted,some DC members went to their first concert and they said how they were fan of them (I think it was Sihyeon in particular)

I always thought that the fear representation only applies to the nightmare series as those MVs are the ones where you can see them. Deja Vu, Rose BLUE, Dystopia, Dyatopia, Apocalypse and now Villians don’t have any references to them.
Yess, Dreamcatcher!! They are my favorite girl group because of their music (Big rock fan here!!), their vocal (Siyeon's voice owns my heart), their dances and their performances. Seriously, they have never dropped the ball in any of their performances. Dami is my bias (the main rapper with the deep voice that tends to have short hair) and she kills every rap verse she has. She's my favorite woman rapper and one of my favorite rappers in general in kpop. I don't if someone has tell you this yet, but their main producers are Leez (sadly, not anymore) and Ollounder, 2/3 of Ateez producers, so is not secret that they only have bangers. Many people (including me) consider Dystopia: The Tree of Language (Scream is the title track) to be a perfect album, so enjoy yourselves. Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt and a burning at the stake. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. I really enjoy the music, it's rock mixed with EDM. Dreamcatcher are always very creative, and they are in their own genre by this point. Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy. Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song? Odd Eye is part 3 of the Dystopia trilogy. People can get lost in the world of the Internet and social media and their online personas can take over their life. Dreamcatcher want us to use our odd eye to see through the lies (on Facebook and others) and don't be fooled by the "lies masked in sweetness". I can only recommend to keep reacting to them, they are always interesting and entertaining! And the song is a banger!

Deciphering a Dreamcatcher MV is no easy task. The lyrics, choreography, and visuals all work together, layering in symbolism and imagery to tell a story. If you like some recommendations on what to watch next, then I'd say start at the beginning, especially since it's spooky season. Their initial storyline, the Nightmare series, takes a lot of influence from classic horror cinema. The songs in this series are Chase Me - Debut song Good Night Fly High - Prequel to Chase Me You & I What Piri Breaking Out - this is their first Japanese release and an alternate ending to the storyline. For other creepy/spooky songs you can check out Red Sun Special clip - this is a b-side from the Scream album. The choreography was done by Sua, the main dancer. Boca zombie version - this is a creepy version of Boca and their makeup was done by the makeup artist from the Netflix show, Kingdom, which is a Korean Period Zombie drama. BEcause - this is the title track from the Summer Holiday special mini album. It's Dreamcatcher's take on a summer song with a dark obsessive twist. A lot of the visuals in this MV take inspiration from the Jordan Peele movie, Us. If you'd like to know more about the group then there are a few videos I recommend to people. The Ultimate 2021/2022 Dreamcatcher guide by Dreamworld. This is the most comprehensive guide I've come across and while it's a little older now, it's still very good. It has a section on history for the group, a small snippet of each of their title tracks (minus the Apocalypse trilogy tracks), and a section for each of the members and the group as a whole. The This is ____ Series by Insomnicsy. Insomnicsy is the main Dreamcatcher fan content channel on UA-cam. She puts out compilation videos all the time and her edits are hilarious. This series is strictly about member personalities and there are 4 seasons, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and each season has one 7-minute video for each member. Dodging Disbandment & other extreme sports: A history of Dreamcatcher by Mera. This is older, only covering up to right before the release of Scream, but it's excellently done and really gives the best history of the troubles and challenges that Dreamcatcher has faced up to that point. Which is somewhat poetic as things actually started to get better for the group around the release of Scream and Boca, though it still took until April 20th, 2022, for them to get their first music show win. I didn't read all the comments, so I don't know if anyone told you this. If so, sorry for repeating it. It was mentioned that in Scream you felt the masked girl was there to represent the missing member. The members didn't want people to think that HanDong was no longer in the group so they asked for someone to represent her. One of the choreographers donned the mask and did the video with them so that her position in the dance was there for her when she came back. After returning from China (she was gone for a year, due to Covid) Dreamcatcher did another version of Scream with HanDong in it. She isn't wearing the mask, but at the end of the video she has a one-shot that shows her pulling off the mask to reveal her face.
There are so many amazing kpop girl groups, you started on the most unique of them. Dreamcatcher is its own music genre. They are from a small company but everything is top notch: music, choreography, music videos, voices, outfits, visuals. I envy you for being able to experiment them the first time.

Congrats, you have found the best girl group in the world (and I've been listening to Kpop since 2NE1). I mean it, they are really the perfect girl group alive and they sound even better live or with a live band. Another unique thing about them in their songs are that they switch verses for each other to sing unlike most groups that everyone has their own verse line only. Dreamcatcher is one of those rare group one would find it so hard to find a bias as all 7 of them are just so good in so many ways. I hope you will continue to listen/react to their songs, and not just limited to their title tracks as they don't have bad songs & most of their B-sides can be any other groups' title tracks. @6:11 the one with the mask on was for the absent member of Handong. Also you may not have noticed, but at the beginning of Scream, the bird song was from Dami, it's one of her special talent to make that bird sound.

Also, fyi, the Chinese member Han Dong was missing in the first two mvs, they were from 2021, and due to covid, the Chinese members of many kpop groups had to stay in China (Jun and Minghao from Seventeen were also absent during that period)
YESSS I'm so glad y'all are checking out dreamcatcher. They work with edenary a lot (Ateez's production team), so their discography is no joke. They started out with a heavy jpop rock vibe that really set them apart and over time they've slowly evolved to their current sound, which I would classify as a kpop + rock blend, less anime opener and more catchy hooks but with their iconic rock foundation. Music aside, I adore their choreography. It's heavily image-based and they use transitions well; plus, like Tori mentioned, their point choreography for each song is so cool!

boca is special to me because of when it was released. less than a year before, both idols sulli and goo hara passed away after relentless bullying from people online and it’s believed that this song was a direct response to it. the message of the song along with the line “too many angels dying now” is just… ugh 😭🤍🤍

I remember almost 4 years ago when, through a random recommendation, I first heard "Scream" and immediately afterwards "Piri" by Dreamcatcher (or was the order the other way around? Doesn't matter.). I was completely exhausted. Afterwards I watched the videos several times and then searched for more Dreamcatcher songs. Songs came that I never even dreamed of. And until today. Conclusion: Dreamcatcher is now my absolute favorite group, not just in K-Pop. I hope you still have Dreamcatcher on your radar. So then - have fun on your journey through the DC Universe. I hope you keep diving into their music, you won't regret it! As someone who hasn't been into k-pop for too long, I feel like they're a truly special group. Their powerful and beautiful vocals, the quality of their music production, the messages behind their lyrics, their fantasy/sci-fi/horror concepts and of course their humble, funny and chaotic personalities, everything clicked for me. And the fact that they didn't have an easy path to success (first, because Minx, the previous group 5 of DC members were in, only lasted for a couple of years, and second, because, even though rock is far from being a mainstream sound nowadays, they've stuck to it since the beginning managing to make it feel fresh and unique every comeback) makes Somnias love this group a lot more and we are so happy every time new people discover them, as we just want them to have the recognition they deserve

In 'Boca', when they start their choreo and formed the frame, the frame has two meanings meanings. The first is the symbolic purpose of creating a target as they mentioned in the songs. And the other is, in chinese, mouth is '口'. I'm sure there can be other meanings. These are the two that i am aware of.

i love the fact that you girls make preparation before diving into this blackhole. so many reactors don't do diligence so they go blind, and got lost in the middle. but they do like the songs, so still a win. Welcome To the Dreamworld. anyway, somebody would have explained it but I'm still gonna say something. Scream talks about slander, bullying, hate commenting on somebody who just want to live normally. so they haters want you to scream in agony. but the song also talks about fighting it back, so you would make them scream instead. Boca mainly talks about misuse of mouth or words, making hate and negative pressure to anybody. "Too many angels dying now" means many have been unalived because of those words and comments. Odd Eye basically talks about social media, where people are pretending to be someone else, lying to themselves that they are this kind of person but actually not. searching for happiness in likes and views, but in the end, that's not actually the happiness you're looking for. that's just a bit of everything. These ladies are the absolute best… insane vocals, incredible dancers, their stage presence is on a whole other level, visually GORGEOUS and they kill it live. And offstage they are chaotic, hilarious, unfiltered, loveable, fruity dorks with one of the best underdog stories in Kpop. There is a big rabbit hole to fall down with Dreamcatcher but it’s 100% worth it. ok ... To much to say about... the best series of Dreamcatcher to me is "The Nightmare Series" 1-Fly High 2-Piri 3-Chase Me 4- Good Night 5-You and I 6-What (7-R.O.S.E. Blue ... this song was to be the end but Handong was in china trapped by the coronavirus politics, she star in a new project and the song was used for the original sound track of a game and they losses the rights) 7-Breaking Out (alternative ending) this is the correct order to see it and every video show escenes from the past, present and future , the lyrics too , it´s so important to understand it because is a puzzle. Just for something fun for you to do on/ near Halloween, DREAMCATCHERR did a Zombie version of 'Boca'. They had a pro special effects crew do the Zombie makeup on the backup dancers...something really awesome to see. The Zombie version actually has a Warning at the beginning of the video for good reason. The SFX are AMAZING so it could actually be scary for some people. This is the first video I eve watched from your channel so I have no idea if either of you are squeemish at all. I think you might like it. I hope you have fun! :)
I have always found this trilogy to be fascinating as a masterclass combination of visual and musical story telling. Scream: uses a lot of Salem era, witch-like imagery and evokes an appeal to the past looking for maybe a time where Utopia had already been found. But only being shown a history of cruelty and misunderstanding due to a world of ignorance (this is even reflected in the choreography with sequences of surrounding a member and point at them). Boca: uses the setting of the modern day, but the Dreamcatchers can't imagine a world much different from the one they are trying to escape from already. A world that mistreats and abuses its own people for whatever various reasons and does so by weaponizing the anonymity of the internet to say whatever they want to whomever they want. Including recent suicides withing the K-Pop community at that time, the song is especially poignant when you also consider that the group is very pro-LGBT and comes from a society that is decidedly not. Odd Eye: within the lyrics you get this sense that they have already given up and the video appears to reflect the reason why. By attempting to dream of a better future they simply found a world where the problems of today and eras past have simply become even more pronounced as the ability to separate oneself from the constant noise and judgement has become impossible through what appears to be near-Cyberpunk levels of technological implementation and advancement. Dystopia Trilogy isn't a story of how society became a dystopia, it is a story of how it has always been one and as such there may not actually be a Utopia to find.
Welcome to the Dreamworld! it's always good to see fresh eyes and ears on this group; it makes the reactions all the more genuine. Given how long ago Dreamcatcher debuted-2017-the black hole you have decided to fall into is rather deep. There is going to be a lot to get through but I promise you won't be disappointed. I enjoyed the Dystopian Series a lot more than their Apocalypse Series, the sheer variety in the Tree of Language being a big factor. As for what the story is, some things are confirmed and others are left to speculation. What is confirmed is that a lot of the lyrics across the three songs are centered on bullying, more specifically cyberbullying and its impact on our lives, how we seek validation from faceless people behind a keyboard, so much so we become convinced it's more real than what is actually real. It's a house of cards that comes crashing down by the time 'Odd Eye' rolls around. This style of music has always been what sets them apart from others and quite frankly, it's the primary reason why all of their achievements, especially domestically, have never been handed to them. They've earned them all. I am very excited for you to see and hear more of them, and with a Comeback just around the corner, it's just the right time. Good luck.

Woah, a new reactors channel reacting to dreamcatcher ❤ thank you❤️ So dreamcatcher does their comeback in series .we currently have the nightmare series (6 mv/cb), dystopia series (what u watch) and finally the apocalypse series (trilogy too) and then 2 special comeback that is not tied to any of the series. Dreamcatcher title track are usually rock influence, so in scream it is rock with edm, boca is rock with moombahton and odd eye is rock with numetal.(someone correct me if i am wrong) So for dystopia series, u are right that they are targeting some social issue, and it is cyberbullying/people just forgetting to nice to other. And the tree u see in all 3 mv is suppose to be the tree of language. in scream. The girls are playing the role of the victims of cyberbullying using the medieval witch hunt as a metaphor, hence in the lyrics u see stone throw, hand tied. They tried to ignore the hate they have gotten. But sadly, they couldnt hence the lyrics in the final chorus turning from pls i dont want to scream to i just wanna make u scream, where they decide to retaliate and fight back the hater. In boca, the girls are now angels trying to save the situation since people are forgetting to be nice. That why u see alot of water( good observation) since water is seem as a cleansing tool. So the main message in boca is to ask people to shut up if they got nothing better to say. But of course in real life, it not that easy to stop other😢 And finally in odd eye, the mv look more “techy” since scream is the past, boca is present and odd eye is future. The girls realise that even with all their efforts (road to utopia) to stop the haters, nothing works and they can only see everything perish (hence dystopia is the series’ name). Which kinda tied into real life, haters will always exist, u cannot stop them. utopia also actually mean a place that doesnt exist, ie there is no true happy ending, but the most important thing is not to lose yourselves in the internet. U cant stop other but u can always be kind to other. Yup so that the story for this series, there are actually much more details but it will be too long of a message. Glad that u enjoy the songs ❤

Dreamcatcher are known for power and intensity but they are so good their piano ballads are soft and emotional, hype songs will have you literally jumping, etc., look forward to it all. They're never afraid to interrupt intense rock for a beautiful vocal break. If you want to see the full range of their duality they shot the special clip for Sahara backstage at music shows waiting to perform Scream. There is no official lore, all of it is made up by fans from what we see and small comments of members talking about filming the videos; it doesn't even always agree. I feel Dystopia is about bullying, hate comments, and being online (hoping for utopia but it just distorts reality through your phone and computer).

The main dancer SuA just belted a C5 in their last title track, right before Siyeon did another run from F5. Which one is amazing and will blow you away without any warning? All of them. The answer is all of them.
JiU is the Leader and oldest member of the group (hard to believe she is the oldest but it is true). She's the one who was holding the bouquet of flowers while they were burning, as she was blindfolded. It's WEIRD to say but it is true that in that particular scene, there were no special effects. She REALLY DID THAT. She was blindfolded and could not see a thing and the flowers really were on FIRE! In a behind-the-scenes, making-of video, she said that is the single scariest thing she has ever done. I can't blame her there...just a little puff of air in the wrong direction, she could have caught fire with all the hair products the girls use. But she would NEVER have made any of the other members do this instead of her. She's a very protective momma and one of the sweetest humans alive.
A good guide that is both recent and pretty comprehensive is An Extensive Guide to Dreamcatcher 2023 by Dreamer. Not a lot of people have watched it, but I think that it is really good. I think other people have said this, but for more halloween vibes, you should really react to the nightmare series, which starts with Chase Me (their debut).

Scream and Boca had six members (Handong was in China) Odd Eye had all seven. In the backdrop of the trilogy, there is the suicide of several prominent Kpop idols (Jonghyun, Sulli, and Goo Hara). There is line in Boca: Too many angels dying now - that is a reference. Besides the Apocalypse trilogy, there is the Nightmare series, which has six songs. They also have some great stand alone title tracks: Deja Vu, Rose Blu, BEcause and the fan songs: Full Moon, Over the Sky, REASON. They also have a small, but great Japanese discography that goes more metal. Also, they share some of their production team with ATEEZ, so there are number of DC/ATEEZ fans (including me). They are definitely not the most popular female group in South Korea, but they have a large international following.
I also remember when Ateez debuted,some DC members went to their first concert and they said how they were fan of them (I think it was Sihyeon in particular)

They are my favorite girl group because of their music (Big rock fan here!!), their vocal (Siyeon's voice owns my heart), their dances and their performances. Seriously, they have never dropped the ball in any of their performances.
Dami is my bias (the main rapper with the deep voice that tends to have short hair) and she kills every rap verse she has. She's my favorite woman rapper and one of my favorite rappers in general in kpop. I don't if someone has tell you this yet, but their main producers are Leez (sadly, not anymore) and Ollounder, 2/3 of Ateez producers, so is not secret that they only have bangers.
Many people (including me) consider Dystopia: The Tree of Language (Scream is the title track) to be a perfect album, so enjoy yourselves.

Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉
Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt and a burning at the stake. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. I really enjoy the music, it's rock mixed with EDM. Dreamcatcher are always very creative, and they are in their own genre by this point.
Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy. Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song?
Odd Eye is part 3 of the Dystopia trilogy. People can get lost in the world of the Internet and social media and their online personas can take over their life. Dreamcatcher want us to use our odd eye to see through the lies (on Facebook and others) and don't be fooled by the "lies masked in sweetness". I can only recommend to keep reacting to them, they are always interesting and entertaining! And the song is a banger!

Your interpretations of the songs were pretty spot on, especially for a first watch. Deciphering a Dreamcatcher MV is no easy task. The lyrics, choreography, and visuals all work together, layering in symbolism and imagery to tell a story.
If you like some recommendations on what to watch next, then I'd say start at the beginning, especially since it's spooky season. Their initial storyline, the Nightmare series, takes a lot of influence from classic horror cinema. The songs in this series are

It has a section on history for the group, a small snippet of each of their title tracks (minus the Apocalypse trilogy tracks), and a section for each of the members and the group as a whole.
The This is ____ Series by Insomnicsy. Insomnicsy is the main Dreamcatcher fan content channel on UA-cam. She puts out compilation videos all the time and her edits are hilarious. This series is strictly about member personalities and there are 4 seasons, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and each season has one 7-minute video for each member.
Dodging Disbandment & other extreme sports: A history of Dreamcatcher by Mera. This is older, only covering up to right before the release of Scream, but it's excellently done and really gives the best history of the troubles and challenges that Dreamcatcher has faced up to that point. Which is somewhat poetic as things actually started to get better for the group around the release of Scream and Boca, though it still took until April 20th, 2022, for them to get their first music show win.

I didn't read all the comments, so I don't know if anyone told you this. If so, sorry for repeating it. It was mentioned that in Scream you felt the masked girl was there to represent the missing member. The members didn't want people to think that HanDong was no longer in the group so they asked for someone to represent her. One of the choreographers donned the mask and did the video with them so that her position in the dance was there for her when she came back. After returning from China (she was gone for a year, due to Covid) Dreamcatcher did another version of Scream with HanDong in it. She isn't wearing the mask, but at the end of the video she has a one-shot that shows her pulling off the mask to reveal her face.
There are so many amazing kpop girl groups, you started on the most unique of them. Dreamcatcher is its own music genre. They are from a small company but everything is top notch: music, choreography, music videos, voices, outfits, visuals. I envy you for being able to experiment them the first time.

Congrats, you have found the best girl group in the world (and I've been listening to Kpop since 2NE1). I mean it, they are really the perfect girl group alive and they sound even better live or with a live band. Another unique thing about them in their songs are that they switch verses for each other to sing unlike most groups that everyone has their own verse line only. Dreamcatcher is one of those rare group one would find it so hard to find a bias as all 7 of them are just so good in so many ways. I hope you will continue to listen/react to their songs, and not just limited to their title tracks as they don't have bad songs & most of their B-sides can be any other groups' title tracks. @6:11 the one with the mask on was for the absent member of Handong. Also you may not have noticed, but at the beginning of Scream, the bird song was from Dami, it's one of her special talent to make that bird sound.

Also, fyi, the Chinese member Han Dong was missing in the first two mvs, they were from 2021, and due to covid, the Chinese members of many kpop groups had to stay in China (Jun and Minghao from Seventeen were also absent during that period)

YESSS I'm so glad y'all are checking out dreamcatcher. They work with edenary a lot (Ateez's production team), so their discography is no joke. They started out with a heavy jpop rock vibe that really set them apart and over time they've slowly evolved to their current sound, which I would classify as a kpop + rock blend, less anime opener and more catchy hooks but with their iconic rock foundation. Music aside, I adore their choreography. It's heavily image-based and they use transitions well; plus, like Tori mentioned, their point choreography for each song is so cool!

I remember almost 4 years ago when, through a random recommendation, I first heard "Scream" and immediately afterwards "Piri" by Dreamcatcher (or was the order the other way around? Doesn't matter.). I was completely exhausted. Afterwards I watched the videos several times and then searched for more Dreamcatcher songs. Songs came that I never even dreamed of. And until today. Conclusion: Dreamcatcher is now my absolute favorite group, not just in K-Pop. I hope you still have Dreamcatcher on your radar. So then - have fun on your journey through the DC Universe. I hope you keep diving into their music, you won't regret it! As someone who hasn't been into k-pop for too long, I feel like they're a truly special group. Their powerful and beautiful vocals, the quality of their music production, the messages behind their lyrics, their fantasy/sci-fi/horror concepts and of course their humble, funny and chaotic personalities, everything clicked for me. In 'Boca', when they start their choreo and formed the frame, the frame has two meanings meanings. The first is the symbolic purpose of creating a target as they mentioned in the songs. And the other is, in chinese, mouth is '口'.

i love the fact that you girls make preparation before diving into this blackhole. so many reactors don't do diligence so they go blind, and got lost in the middle. but they do like the songs, so still a win.

Scream talks about slander, bullying, hate commenting on somebody who just want to live normally. so they haters want you to scream in agony. but the song also talks about fighting it back, so you would make them scream instead.
Boca mainly talks about misuse of mouth or words, making hate and negative pressure to anybody. "Too many angels dying now" means many have been unalived because of those words and comments.
Odd Eye basically talks about social media, where people are pretending to be someone else, lying to themselves that they are this kind of person but actually not. searching for happiness in likes and views, but in the end, that's not actually the happiness you're looking for.
that's just a bit of everything.

These ladies are the absolute best… insane vocals, incredible dancers, their stage presence is on a whole other level, visually GORGEOUS and they kill it live. And offstage they are chaotic, hilarious, unfiltered, loveable, fruity dorks with one of the best underdog stories in Kpop. There is a big rabbit hole to fall down with Dreamcatcher but it’s 100% worth it.

Just for something fun for you to do on/ near Halloween, DREAMCATCHERR did a Zombie version of 'Boca'. They had a pro special effects crew do the Zombie makeup on the backup dancers...something really awesome to see. The Zombie version actually has a Warning at the beginning of the video for good reason. The SFX are AMAZING so it could actually be scary for some people. This is the first video I eve watched from your channel so I have no idea if either of you are squeemish at all. I think you might like it. I hope you have fun! :)
I have always found this trilogy to be fascinating as a masterclass combination of visual and musical story telling.
Scream: uses a lot of Salem era, witch-like imagery and evokes an appeal to the past looking for maybe a time where Utopia had already been found. But only being shown a history of cruelty and misunderstanding due to a world of ignorance (this is even reflected in the choreography with sequences of surrounding a member and point at them).
Boca: uses the setting of the modern day, but the Dreamcatchers can't imagine a world much different from the one they are trying to escape from already. A world that mistreats and abuses its own people for whatever various reasons and does so by weaponizing the anonymity of the internet to say whatever they want to whomever they want. Including recent suicides withing the K-Pop community at that time, the song is especially poignant when you also consider that the group is very pro-LGBT and comes from a society that is decidedly not.
Odd Eye: within the lyrics you get this sense that they have already given up and the video appears to reflect the reason why. By attempting to dream of a better future they simply found a world where the problems of today and eras past have simply become even more pronounced as the ability to separate oneself from the constant noise and judgement has become impossible through what appears to be near-Cyberpunk levels of technological implementation and advancement.
Dystopia Trilogy isn't a story of how society became a dystopia, it is a story of how it has always been one and as such there may not actually be a Utopia to find.
Welcome to the Dreamworld! it's always good to see fresh eyes and ears on this group; it makes the reactions all the more genuine. Given how long ago Dreamcatcher debuted-2017-the black hole you have decided to fall into is rather deep. There is going to be a lot to get through but I promise you won't be disappointed. I enjoyed the Dystopian Series a lot more than their Apocalypse Series, the sheer variety in the Tree of Language being a big factor. As for what the story is, some things are confirmed and others are left to speculation. What is confirmed is that a lot of the lyrics across the three songs are centered on bullying, more specifically cyberbullying and its impact on our lives, how we seek validation from faceless people behind a keyboard, so much so we become convinced it's more real than what is actually real. It's a house of cards that comes crashing down by the time 'Odd Eye' rolls around. This style of music has always been what sets them apart from others and quite frankly, it's the primary reason why all of their achievements, especially domestically, have never been handed to them. They've earned them all. I am very excited for you to see and hear more of them, and with a Comeback just around the corner, it's just the right time. Good luck.

So dreamcatcher does their comeback in series .we currently have the nightmare series (6 mv/cb), dystopia series (what u watch) and finally the apocalypse series (trilogy too) and then 2 special comeback that is not tied to any of the series. Dreamcatcher title track are usually rock influence, so in scream it is rock with edm, boca is rock with moombahton and odd eye is rock with numetal.(someone correct me if i am wrong)
So for dystopia series, u are right that they are targeting some social issue, and it is cyberbullying/people just forgetting to nice to other. And the tree u see in all 3 mv is suppose to be the tree of language.
in scream. The girls are playing the role of the victims of cyberbullying using the medieval witch hunt as a metaphor, hence in the lyrics u see stone throw, hand tied. They tried to ignore the hate they have gotten. But sadly, they couldnt hence the lyrics in the final chorus turning from pls i dont want to scream to i just wanna make u scream, where they decide to retaliate and fight back the hater.
In boca, the girls are now angels trying to save the situation since people are forgetting to be nice. That why u see alot of water( good observation) since water is seem as a cleansing tool. So the main message in boca is to ask people to shut up if they got nothing better to say. But of course in real life, it not that easy to stop other😢
And finally in odd eye, the mv look more “techy” since scream is the past, boca is present and odd eye is future. The girls realise that even with all their efforts (road to utopia) to stop the haters, nothing works and they can only see everything perish (hence dystopia is the series’ name). Which kinda tied into real life, haters will always exist, u cannot stop them. utopia also actually mean a place that doesnt exist, ie there is no true happy ending, but the most important thing is not to lose yourselves in the internet. U cant stop other but u can always be kind to other.
Yup so that the story for this series, there are actually much more details but it will be too long of a message. Glad that u enjoy the songs ❤

Dreamcatcher are known for power and intensity but they are so good their piano ballads are soft and emotional, hype songs will have you literally jumping, etc., look forward to it all. They're never afraid to interrupt intense rock for a beautiful vocal break. It's WEIRD to say but it is true that in that particular scene, there were no special effects. She REALLY DID THAT. She was blindfolded and could not see a thing and the flowers really were on FIRE!
In a behind-the-scenes, making-of video, she said that is the single scariest thing she has ever done. I can't blame her there...just a little puff of air in the wrong direction, she could have caught fire with all the hair products the girls use. But she would NEVER have made any of the other members do this instead of her. She's a very protective momma and one of the sweetest humans alive.
