Most people just understand 4K is better, and 1080P is old tech, and that is absolutely wrong! Did you know that a 1080P 24-inch gaming monitor has 92 PPI (pixels per inch), which is sharper than a 4K 55 inches TV that has 80 PPI? So you tell me which one is more pixilated??????? If you want the couch way, then yes a 4K TV, but if you want a monitor, 1080P still has a huge advantage for several reasons if you like that size screen... so, if you know more about the tech, you could have made your video more aggressively correct!
There is another factor to take into consideration: biology. Most people’s eyes cannot distinguish resolution after some distance, the higher the resolution, the closer one needs to be. For most people, 4K is indistinguishable from 1080p at about 8 to 10 ft for a 55” TV. A monitor with high pixel density will give you much more sharpness regardless of being 4K or 1440p. So yeah, a 1440p60 monitor I guess is the perfect match for a Series S
Note: I don’t do as I say… I have my series S hooked to an 82 inch TV @ 1440p120 with Dolby Vision most of the time. And I still enjoy it very very much from the sofa
I think TVs have come so far in gaming features that the decision for most is budget. Someone who hasn’t experienced oled or blooming control wouldn’t know how much of a difference it makes. Sit at a proper distance from a 55” tv and it’s barely noticeable that the Series S doesn’t look like 4K. I personally use a 42” LG C2 on my desk for gaming and will never go back to a monitor. You need a deep desk but that’s my only complaint.
@@khankhaaaan the C2 is bloody fantastic and being oled makes almost anything look amazing. As for good match it’ll be fine paired with a series s but keep your expectations realistic. It won’t be the most sharp or detailed image but perfect black levels and “infinite” contrast make up the difference. I use a PS5 and Series S with my 42” C2 and since I sit close I can tell that the S isn’t 4K. Does it really make that much of a difference for me? Not really but I will say if you want to take full advantage of the C2 you won’t being doing that with a series s. I think the PS5 and series s make a lot of sense to own together. You get the best of both worlds while taking advantage of all the tv has to offer.
I have used Series S both on my 4k 60hz 43 inch TV and on my 1080p 165hz 24 inch monitor. Honestly, my 4k TV provided me better experience in terms of image quality, colour reproduction and resolution given that my TV has proper dolby vision and HDR support. On the other hand my major complains with Series S on the monitor is poor anti-aliasing and reduced texture quality. I think games these days are using different types of texture quality based on the resolution. In that sense, upscaled 4k provided me a better experience. Refresh rate doesn’t matter to me much as I mostly play single player games.

I think it will be for load times alone
@@jdxcoffee damn that’s it huh 😭, definitely going to buy a monitor soon then.
Yes.
Yeah the native pixels are better, Series S on a 4k tv looks soft, but even the Series X can't hit 4k often as the frame rate is so high
Xbox series S works great on my 4K TV, but I usually use it on a monitor and it still looks great so I don’t know what you’re complaining about ?
I'm gonna buy a portable monitor for Xbox ss, just 15.6", and very much hope for good quality with 1080p
I have my series’s S with an HP x24i 1080p 144 hz gaming monitor not the best but it works beautifully
I’ve got the opposite problem, the series S looks very fuzzy on my monitor (Acer XG270HU 2560x1440) but look really sharp on my very cheap Sharp 55” 4K tv. I’m trying to figure out why the image isn’t so sharp on my monitor, but looks pretty good on my tv. Any ideas?
you need to go to xbox settings, click display and resolution, click fidelity, and change it to srgb
I have a 25inch monitor that is 1080p and runs 120htz.
My monitor also has game mode and a response rate of fast and faster. But when I put it in faster I seem to have like a blue light around players when playing call of duty.
I’m confused on what to do
Was going to buy one on Black Friday glad I didn’t now, I want a proper roadmap from big boy phil before I trust Xbox again.
I have a 49-inch Samsung TV 4K and it looks great, no need to worry about it.
My tv is way better than the monitor i bought , it makes my eyes hurts because its blurry
1:15 that was a great comparison definitely getting a sub from me for that one
😂
I am looking to get a Smart TV and an Xbox series S, but I can only afford a 32 inch HD TV, will it look bad there?, how much difference will it make if i get a 32 inch TV FHD?
for me its the opposite it only looks good on a tv instead of a monitor when i move in a game to much i start seeing thje pixels
What i dont like about series s
1. Less memory for user and developer.
2. Not modular so fan and heat sink cleaning is very hard for an average user.
3. Heats up too fast.
Got a Msi optix 27 inch curved monitor for my series s and I think games looks way better on my Samsung 55inch to
Fortnight 1440p on series x on a monitor looks as good and better in some areas compared to my 4k 120 hz tcl 6 series miniled tv. My lg oled is the best but just got my 1st monitor blew me away. I was worried going from 65" to 27" but since ur sitting rate in front of the monitor it's exactly the same
Do you guys use pc rgb or the normal one on tv ?
I’m trying to find a tv that’s good for the series s, one that will let me get to 1080p 120hz and 1440p 60hz. Can someone help me? I cannot find anything.
So the Xbox X does not have this problem?
I got a 4k/120hz TV for my series s today. Took me a few hours to mess with the settings, but rocket league on performance mode looks worse then Xbox 360. I'd say it looks about between a PS1 and PS2. It's literally that bad. Dreamcast looked better. GTA V on finesse mode or whatever it's called is unplayable, but doesn't look terribly bad on performance mode.
I almost always play on performance over quality. Higher Fran rates feel a lot better than better textures.
I wish I had a monitor.
Nah man GIANT TV GANG FOR LIFE

Hello everyone ...I'm not very educated on computers .... Do we need to have a cpu and ups to connect xbox on monitor 1080 ....or can I just plug the monitor to the wall and then connect xbxo hdmi to monitors ???
It’s just a cheap budget console so you can’t expect much. Some games look pretty decent others look worse than Xbox one. 😢.
I like it a lot
As someone who is using a Samsung 27’ monitor that only has 75hz and plays on the one x right now should I buy the series s to utilize halos 120 FPS
‘Note I only play halo infinite as I’m amateur competitive player right now’
I would
I have the PS5 and the Series S, if it was for the PS5 or the Series X, I would say yes, but for the Series S, although it will hit 120 fps on some shooters, still you may get a small hit on the draw distances and occasional softer image to support such high frames.
My pc 1080p low looks better then my Xbox series s like very blurry I don’t understand why
I’m not sure.
1080p is good for competitive gaming but in reality 1440p and 4k are wayyyyyy better
27 inches 1440P is the sweet spot!
I saw Xbox Ready make a video on how to make ur Xbox games look better on a TV
Just got the series s upgraded from one x and yes its great not memory wise but price and dam it runs great surprised me
For example aliens fire team its like night and day smoother fps on a 1440p gaming monitor 144hz
And million times quite
I play in my tv . Its fine . No better or worse than my monitor my on is now using
I don't get why people would not shell out 200 more bucks to get a much better experience. I'm sorry, but if 200 is too much for you then you probably shouldn't have gaming as your hobby.
I disagree. Gaming has become very affordable. 300 for the s and 15 dollars a month for gamepass ultimate. Often able to get Gamepass for a buck for first month too. THat still would cost less for the first year than a series x.
I still use a 42 inch 720p Plasma TV, so...
Use what you have and have fun!
I like Orochimaru too!!
I use my 1080 27” LG 165hz gaming monitor for FPS GAMES. And I use my 50” 4k tv 60hz for all other games.
If only you were my math teacher. But that's done and dusted.
why is that
3:22 "playing halo with buddy and going split screen"
Is this a satire?
Those are two separate activities.
Julien With another Banger!! ❤️
Would a 45 inch 4K oled tv look good on a series s?
C1?
Nope. Since most of series s games are 900p, and 900p resolution looks bad on large TVs
Me playing on my 46" tv 👀
Check your TV for game mode setting. Sets higher refresh rate.
For sure
just subscribed man videos are hella clean. I love the series s. I know for a fact this cyber monday and black friday will be good for it. One thing that stinks to me is how the xbox one x got totally shelved.
Xbox s on LG c2, holy grail!
Don’t go very closer to your tv, Voila!! Problem solved 😜
To me it looks bad on monitor fine on TV
my tv is 1080p 120fps
Get what u can afford
I hate my Xbox ….
That seems like a lot of effort. Just sell it.
dude its your opinion and it sucks!!!!!! series s looks good on anything
Hahah k
It looks awesome on my Samsung 65" 4k. I love my series s
right on
Does it looks good really? I want to buy big TV but iam worried if games would look soft especially big AAA games as ac valhala that you need to use performance mood to run 60 fps and decrease graphics does these games work fine
Its 1440p but it looks crisp. For $300 you can't complain.
@@UA-camHatesFreeSpeech582 thanks bro
@@mohamedabdelatif7361 anytime bro. I have a TCL and a Samsung TV. Both look good with series s. I also have a series x which the picture is lil better. If you want frame rate and graphics quality the series x or Ps5 is the way to go. The series s is a lil beast for what you pay for. If you get one and don't like it then you could sell it easily.
I'm gonna buy a portable monitor for Xbox ss, just 15.6", and very much hope for good quality with 1080p
