Personally, I’m holding out for the LG G7 ThiccQ
If it's T H I C C it's good.
Lol. When can we have our removable batteries back on this thiccq
FutureNow god bless you
It's spelled T H I C C Q.
FutureNow
lmaaaoo
Ticked all the boxes for me. Everything I've been wanting + a headphone jack with the best sounding audio from a phone. Buying.
Same.
You see that software trick to hide the notch? THAT is what I thought how the notch would be and THAT is an elegant workaround to that. Which, again, works!
but why tho the notch is still there
just to clairify.
you know u lose icon space on the notification bar right?
like battery wifi gps bluetooth icons you have limited space if there are more the X amount u want see then cause they will be under the notch....
same for notification icons have more then 4 icons the rest will be hiden i like to see all my icons in the notification bar to not forget... its like when u put the clock in the center it limited the amount of icons u can show.
and i pull down the notification bar in the center from the speaker so a notch will anoye me, a notch i would have the notification bar un the notch but then again just give me a bezel;
Regilio Bouma yes but the reason I mentioned as a pro the fact you can “hide” the notch through black bgs, means just an elegant workaround to, again, just hide the notch and gain some space for the notifications only - which by the way could be at least optional (just like p20 pro and lg7) across the board (all apps). Again, an elegant workaround. Just that, but got you point too :)
Romulo Haack also yes, but that only "hides" the notch durring general phone usage, when u wanna watch videos in 100% full screen, the notch is an eye sore
(if u wanna get rid of the notch, you have to shrink the screen size, which defeats the purpose of a big screen)
copying iphoneX notch and being ashamed of it so you hide it 🙄
Headphone Jack, Quality DAC, Great Speaker, SD Card, Waterproof, Wide Angle Cam, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio...Ticks a lot of boxes, well done LG, looks great.
Didn't tick one important box. The battery !
Keep the Super Wide Angle Lenses and the Hifi Quad DAC LG, NEVER LET GO!
KuyaArnold exactly ... The wide angle and quad DAC are the things tat differentiate them from other phones.
KuyaArnold They should have kept the removable battery as well, they could have carved a niche in the market as a phone marketed to enthusiasts with a bunch of weird features such as.
-OEM unlockable boot loader on all models
-Removable battery
-Headphone jack with quad DAC
-Dual USB c?
-micro SD
-3 camera’s (normal, telephoto, macro)
-Large battery
That way it would have so many features that it would stand out and buyers would be happy because even if they only care about 1 of them then they can find a phone with them.
Toby Cowles in my view , giving up replaceable battery gave us waterproofing .. so its ok , I guess.. but they should allow us to unlock the bootloaders .. every other major brands let us do tat ..
LG G7 wins this generation for me because
1) Sound is amazing "hi fi quad DAC"
2) Headphone jack ftw!
3) I hate curved glass displays!
I use to love edge screen but after i broke my S9 plus i starts to hate vulnerable curved display.
@@possessorofgreatness7620 yes edge display is pretty weak my s8 also broke easily
DAC is the thing💯
I can't wait until its price drops in 2 months and everyone forgets about LG until the V40
Veridian
Lol wow this hurts
Me too...
I waited out a few months and got my lg g6 for much less than when it came out
Veridian so, you always prefer to buy old models... Hahaha...
Hhhhhh same idea
You mean 2 weeks, right?
I'm watching this video on it right in 2022,and it's still an awesome phone for being 4 years old.
And still runs perfectly
Yes...I have a K40 and its still going strong ...well made with the alloy case...unlike Samsungs which are plastic and heat up soo much
ThanQ for this top notch video!
Indian Train Simulator that is punny
The pun has pierced my eyes harder than a meteorite...
Get out
Good one
the notch puns are real
I guess I'll wait 3 months for the price to plummet to check it out

Justin Y. please go away and stop watching and commenting on youtube
We all know it will, G6 is under 300$
Big changes
We looking for big changes
They just change a small things and release that is not fear
Apple's features are kind of a disease. First the headphone jack, then the notch ! Only samsung remains unaffected and I hope it stays like that.
the apple plague
just turn it off then
con-s with insight apple is a zombie-fanatic-sect & suckphone users are very psyho-mental sick people
I don’t understand this comment. Maybe it has a notch, but the headphone jack is there
So why are other companies copying Apple?...just dont do it
LG V30- Underrated phone of last year.
LG G7:- will be the underrated phone for this year.
It's really not that bad of a phone though, the reason I bought it was to escape the garbage known as amoled. I know too many people with burn in and I use my phone for my job/navigation too much to trust a amoled solution. Sadly the craze is set and not many phones do IPS anymore, except for this LG and a few iphones. Don't get me wrong amoled is beautiful but the cons outweigh the deeper colors for me.
It's good to see some manufacturers sticking to the headphone jack and really making it work well. I appreciate it a lot with my wired headphones and my V20.
Once you go (good) wireless, you can never go back
I genuinely feel bad for LG. Comments section filled with cynicism and doubt...Maybe they’d be better off rebranding/rebooting their smartphone division.
Jon Meissner I think that way too. LG should reboot their smartphone division and make a good V40. Seeing this phone make me sad even tho I am iPhone user.
Cough Sony cough...
Jon Meissner this is Samsung central, mkbhd's bias attracts them. LG makes great phones
Jon Meissner I personally like LG phones over other brands but that's just me, except the G5, G6, G7, all are meh.
Eli A I have a G6, it's a solid device but will be the last LG I buy. The support for the phone has been terrible, Android 9 is around the corner and I'm still waiting to be updated to 8; it's like LG released the G6 then forgot about it. I wouldn't care about updates from the manufacture normally, but LG locked bootloaders on most G6 models... just, why? What benefit do they gain from locking advanced users out of being able to run the latest software?
I've had Samsung devices before and I hate them too, so I'm not a fanboy just hating on LG. I used to like LG devices, but not anymore.
Any LG G5 users? Still rocking it! Love it still amazing years later. So many people ask me about it because of dual cam and universal tv, air conditioning, and project IR remote.
brett bettag LG G5 user here, and i rather buy the V30+
Rongie Juayno I heard alot of good things about the V30 but you have to admit the G5 was Hella unique and enjoyable to some degree...
G5 and v20 here !! best lg phones , this new lg is just following Samsung and iPhone
Was issued a G5 to replace my G4 that got the bootloop. On my G5 the volume down button no longer works, the main rear camera only focuses on things super close so everything else is super out of focus, and just recently the phone says its unable to unlock with fingerprint sometimes, almost like the phone restarted itself in my pocket. And this phone has spent its life in an otterbox. Done with LG, switching to a pixel 2 this month
Previous phone was a G3 and now still on G5. I always skip one. So i guess now is G7's turn
LG G7 ThinQ = long name. SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 9 = short name lmao
SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 EDGE PLUS
@@headshouldersantidandruffs6231 wow, very short name... 🤣
Normal people just say note 9
Normally you can call it lg g7 too
Samsung Galaxy S4 Epic 4G touch
Good, now the LG V30 will be cheaper when I get it!
Reshiramer yep...😋
hell yeah f that notch
V20 is superior tho
hadi abdul how is the v20 superior? You need to back this up because i have the v20 and i think the v30 beats it in every way.
Mega Boy yes, he said that you could
If someone gave me this phone I would say thinQ.
Lol
t h i c c Q
Shenuka Jay Funny lol
Sai Saran Ogoti You gonna have to start saying no thinQ to most phones in the coming years then lol.
lol
3000 mAh? Pass. 4000+ mAh or bust! If no one wants to do a removable battery anymore, give me enough battery for 1+ day of ACTUAL USE.
I've had the G4 and G5 (my current phone), and having extra batteries for an instant 100% charge is something I can't do without unless I know the phone can last me all day.
i guess most companies are banking on the fast charging. which is pretty darn fast
Huawei has great 4000 mah phones , just saying. The battery life alone sold me. Hate being on chargers
Manish Sharma Not faster than the 30 seconds it takes me to swap my battery and restart my phone. Plus a replacement battery is a lot smaller than a battery bank and cable. I want a 10,000 mAh battery bank the same size/thickness as a phone that'll do fast wireless charging so the phone charges in my pocket with no cable.
VeeTeeF erm, which good phones still allow you to replace the battery?
I won't give up my Pixel 2 XL with it's awesome battery life for this. 3000 mAh is tiny for the 6+ inch screen size.
Still waiting on that “full review”.
Same.
I really dislike him reviewing the LG. He likes shitty brands like OPPO and Xiaomi more than LG...
Those brands can't even get a 4G connection where I live. That is why IMO he should stop reviewing LG. It's never a fair review. And he always says something stupid like "Oh, this phone is so underrated" and "The audio is great thanks to the Quad DAC". But he ends up rewarding some shitty unknown brands at the end of the year as "great phones". I can't even purchase some of those phones without importing them from China. And basically risking what I've mentioned above. What is the point of having a phone that is "very smartly designed" like the OPPO, if I can't even use 4G internet here in Europe...
PS: To prove my point, the Verge awarded the LG G7 ThinQ the Editor’s Choice award this year.
Besides that there are always a shit ton of reviews on UA-cam like "LG G7 ThinQ, the best phone no one will buy". Because you basically buy a flagship phone for the price of a middle budget phone. After a couple of months LG drops their prices heavily. That is one of the reasons why I love LG products so much.
onee so true!
@@onee Well, the thing is, honey, you aren't the only person watching his videos. His audiences are all over the world, it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it doesn't work for others. The logic you have is flawed. And everybody has an opinion just like you do, you may think OPPO and Xiaomi are shitty brands, but others might like them a lot.
onee LG doesn't even update their phones.
I guess LG didn't ThinQ this phone through very well.

Please Google, don't put a notch on the Pixel 3 🙏
Have you seen the Android P preview yet? Look at the status bar. The notch is built in.
Darryl Mouzone Fuck!
Darryl Mouzone It's a developer thing. Whether the notch makes it to the Pixel 3 or not is a complete mystery.
What's wrong with a notch? You get more screen on phones with notches.
I hope no i love that curved edges that google put in the pixel 2xl , i want them back in a 3rd version
All phones nowadays feel the same, no one is being innovative anymore, They should start making a new phone once every couple of years so that they’ll have more time to make a more refined phone
Youssef Supposedly the next Galaxy is going to be bendable and have a in display fingerprint scanner. I'm kinda excited for that lol
I feel the same. Phone companies should really wait atleast 2 or more years before coming out with a new phone. I like to enjoy the phone I have for 2 or 3 years and than get a new one, and that's if I'm in need. Just sayin
Makes perfect sense. These flagship phones cost around $1000. It will be much better to provide some beast features on it, and then let us enjoy it for few years, before providing a new phone & beast features alongside it. But hey, I guess that's what consumerism is all about!
Check out the chinese companies. They are more innovative nowadays
What do you suggest they do? People always keep saying this shit, but what "different" thing do you really want that they can actually make?
I'm buying because it's cheap relative to the other high end Android phones (especially now the G8 is out) and it got generally solid reviews overall.
I've had two LG phones and my GF has G6. All of them were stellar. I too am buying the G7 now that the price is very low
Have you bought it? How is it?
How is the battery life if you play games like PUBG and update about android updates I want to buy this
@@sujaysarvasetty651 Sorry, can't help on giving a review in the game or even camera (I rarely use) departments. Haven't been any updates since I've had the phone but I've only had it for 1/2 a month so far.
You can buy it for around 300€ here in germany, what is a really good price. Even though it is not perfect😄
I'm so glad LG kept the headphone jack.
PlebKing because it has quadDac.
But they copied the notch design
the wtf guy the have a deal with Apple to make displays so lg will most likely have the same display tech as Apple.
But it makes less space for more battery
the wtf guy, notches are fine as long as the screen is tall enough that you can't see it in landscape and you can hide it.
Are you holding a different phone? The camera placement changes from vertical to horizontal...
Yeah, surprised that nobody saw it
He's holding the V30
Do you even have speakers ? cuz he was referring to the V30 that's why he was holding it
Khaled Aldajani At the very end he is holding the v30 again. Well maybe.
He is holding the V30
I kinda like the customizable notch. It's better than nothing.
Erwin Tjia No notch is better
Mr Orange Hold this lowercase W
It depends. Glass half full or half empty. Do you see it as loosing screen or gaining?
Personally I see it as gaining an area for notification and status icos that don't fall onto the main part of the screen. Especially if you black it out.
Erwin Tjia It come from Something!
Why can't they make Google play Edition "LG G7 ThinQ" !
Killer Phone. Even in 2020, it still competes in the market. Powerful Phone, Good cameras, Flagship level specs. All for only 200$ or less.
Now that's a deal.
I’m goin to buy 2 for my grand parents
@@_CashFlowTy Nice
I dont like the notch but the wide-angle camera is nice. I'd much rather have a wide-angle instead of a 2x zoom or whatever
CybranM I agree....the notch is such a dumb trend. And i think the wide agle is more useful than 2x optical zoom.
I cant live whitout wide angle anymore :D its so awesome. Im using now g6
just a little fyi, you can get rid of the notch in the settings ^_^
Wish they would stop decrease the wide-angle size.
You have by far the best reviews! I have watched five and you are Waaay more detailed then anyone! Keep up the good work!
I like the backdrop , the double key light, the overall tone , the mode ,the colors , I think you start getting somewhere close to what I see in apple ads . You are the best and I wish you all the best
The V30 is one of the best phones I've ever used if this is a straight upgrade then LG is really on a roll with their phone releases.
TheUndefynd1 yeah the v30 is hands down the best phone I have ever owned and I'm on T-mobiles jump on demand so I get a lot of phones. My one and only complaint about the v30 is the front facing camera is horrendous and they did up the mega pixels for g7 front camera.
more mega pixels doesnt automatically make it better.
I currently have the G6 now and I absolutely love this phone. I wouldn't mind buying this when it comes out.

Local Guide lol its thin - q not think
Saw the G7 in the stores here in Korea. Played with it... absolutely LOVE it. I am an LG fan (although we just bought my wife a Samsung S9+, because she leans that way) and I have to say -- I love the screen on the G7. I am in awe of it. I don't know how else to say it, but it just pops without being harsh, like OLED's tend to appear, to me. I am more used to LCD than OLED, seeing as my current phone is an LCD, but wow... I think the G7 will be my next upgrade. Really impressed. LCDs always appeared a little more dark and flat, to me -- but not this. Side-by-side, I like the screen on it much more than the S9 and S9+ (this will be subjective). Odd to see a notched phone that looks better than the Iphone X. I like the simple styling and menu system that LG brings. And I have always loved how my LG phones just don't slow down after years of use! That's one reason why I avoid Samsung. We think we future-proofed my wife with the S9+, though, as its got 6gb of Ram. You have to get the upgraded G7+ version to get 6gb, as well.
데릭피코너 question then... does it have led light for messages to inform you?? , cause I miss that feature and I have the g6.
Updates are really bad on lg using g6 and got the oreo only last month or so
yes it does
@Nj Rh well you know to maintain the ui fluid have new features plus regular security updates but to each its own for me the updates matter.
@Nj Rh I have the same opinion when it comes to updates. In the beginning, I was too anxious for every single update until I matured out of it.
Android oem usually rolls out very stable updates over a lengthy period of time.
I have come to appreciate stability over responsiveness of updates, if the device is updated just 2 times per year or even once followed by a smaller stability update , that should be enough imo.
LG - So would you buy our brand new smartphone ?
Me - No thinQ
Danish D 😂😂😂
As an LG G2, G3, and G4 owner I am disappointed. Think the LG V30 is more my thing.
Good that they kept the headphone jack. But that notch and a chin as well. Face palm. V30 looks more balanced plus I feel like trying out an OLED. Plus 3000mah and not 3300mah... leaving room for the dumb loud speaker I guess
just a little fyi, you can get rid of the notch in the settings ^_^. I own a V30 and I love everything about the phone besides the front camera. It's not as wide as my old V10 front camera, I'm not big on selfies so it's not a big deal to me.
The g3 was the best imo. I loved its rounded back, thin bezels, it was an over All good phone lg needs to go back to the rounded back, with them being removable. I'm currently using the v20. Its a huge phone and I love it. But it being completely flat does hurt my hands if I'm hokding it with one hand for a while like I'm watching youtube. Also ive noticed that the screen burning is getting worse in LG devices. I'm still a fan and love their phones. But they need to stick to what made them differnet instead of following the trend
King Wiwuz IV No, 4000 is quite a lot to ask. Just depends on how the phone handles it. LG V30 has 3300mah and it is a beast with its battery usage.
dvdchas I totally agree, after using OLED, I never want to return to LCD. Notch is ugly and if I wanted a good speaker... Id buy one. LG V30 is better than this phone.
I still caress the dream of having LG fuse the Flex and V series to create some new 7" curved monster with all the cool stuff. I'd fucking buy that for sure I swear. I ended up buying a Pixel 2 XL right now T__T
Kinda miss LG already
So where is the full review? It's 2020 and I am still waiting 👀

The notch has become a generation step up to consumers.
Blame apple for setting this odd trend.
Nisco Racing no, blame the essential phone.
It's actually the Essential Phone that came with the idea.
You idiots are more idiotic than I previously thought if y’all think essential set that trend
Bad Apple!

It actually feels amazing in use overall, from the size and build quality, to the boombox sound, headphone sound, to the haptics. Went from HTC U11 to this. The camera is lot better than stock if using the Google camera port.
Seeing a phone like that without a case gives me minor anxiety
Justin Y. Hello
Justin Y. I wanna see your comment history so badly...
At least it’s not all glass like iPhone X.
At least it’s not a full glass s8😂
When you own a 1000$+ phone you might consider a case, you're not immune to a small drop.
Listening to this with headphones, that intro was rather tasty. I was not expecting that. I am a big fan of Deadmau5.
Good video
I'll tell you what I really like about this phone. (I am using this phone)
It's cheap, its a flagship and it's still barely a year old.
The UI is amazing. Amazing. Small quality of life additions make it amazing and satisfying to use. Some of them are that the music player has inbuilt equaliser that actually works and you can tweak more frequency ranges, it even has a pitch changer (to transpose downloaded music) and while setting a ringtone, you can select specific parts of any song. UI is clean and top notch. It has Always on display, and the cameras are great (the picture quality further improves if you download Google cam mod for it)
It's screen is one of the sharpest, albeit it's an LCD screen. You also get a pair of really good quality earphones in the box. If this phone falls exactly in your budget, just buy it. I got it for 23k something and I do not think there's any phone better than G7 for that price.

LG's best phone is still the V20. Packed with features and not gimmicks. I was really hoping they would improve on it, but they have lost theirway so much. Every new release just takes away features, really holding on to the V20 for now

The speaker is IMPRESSIVE! When using the speaker phone in a call there's a unique feature to boost volume.
After Using the flagships of all brands, only this lg phone blown me away! Hands down! Best phone ever!
LG has the best camera setup for years now. I'm talking hardware + software, you can't have one without the other. This is WHY you should buy this LG over something else.
akaoveve There are phones with better software (pixel 2) but there are no phones with better wide angle camera

I owned 3x LGs (G3, G4) and the last was LG5. I will never again buy an LG branded phone. Horrific battery life Performance, Updates non existent only 1-2 in a year, blootware which made the phone laggy as hell and overheating issues. Since i‘ve moved to OnePlus 5 and now 6 its a Game changer for me, never experienced so much Performance, well balanced OS, Many Updates, no overheating at all, Perfect battery very good Camera.
Never again LG
Lexx Ro agreed
G series had serious hardware issues. Hope they have taken care of it
i hope samsung doesn't put notch on their upcoming phones
true
Samsung is a big and badass powerful enough company to take the gamble to rebel against the trend setters. Plus Samsung is going to want to release something that makes them stand out from the crowd. NOT blend them in. They wouldn't dishonor and insult themselves by releasing a new device with a flawed design feature popularized by APPLE. ESPECIALLY not on their new Samsung 10th anniversary devices ....
Seth it was an explosive sucess
True.
Seth Okay... I'll be more specific. "Stand out in a POSITIVE way...."
The Note 7 made Samsung stand out in the same way the notch makes Apple "stand out."...
Still pining for the days when HTC, Samsung and LG were all leading the Android pack back in 2013-2015. Good ole days
That IPS LCD screen and built-in DAC should be applauded. That IPS LCD not only is brighter outdoors in direct sunlight compared to Amoled, but is MUCH less likely to burn in. Also, that DAC defeats the need for an expensive DAC+AMP accessory, thus making this a proper music player/daily phone.
It's a top *NOTCH* phone

The v20 is by far the best LG phone, it has a really useful second screen, removable battery and a micro SD card slot, fingerprint scanner, amazing camera with a wide angle lense and more. I suggest anyone that still has the g4 to upgrade to the v20.
+Dschinghis Khan: Not yet. I bought it used about a year ago for 120$ and the previous user claimed some hardware change was done by LG for free (here in Germany) because of bootlooping. Until now it runs very smooth = )

Honestly though, why do you need the notch if you're still gonna have a bottom bezel? Like at least Apple didn't have a bottom bezel or something like that
Im planning to switch from iphone 8+ to the LG G7, I really like the headphone jack and his quality audio
*HEADPHONE JACK* _yaaaaaaaass_
It looks like a combo of the Samsung Galaxy s9 plus and the iPhone x
introducing the I G7 😂😂
It looks like the LG G6 but only the camera horizontal instead of vertical. Samsung pretty much copied this design. Since the previous models (and I'm not talking just about the G6, previous models like even the G2) had such a design.
Like that combo that gets the worst from both:chin + notch
@@onee Please stop talking you are mentally chalenged.S8 was long before designed than G6 was revealed and has nothing to do with G2 go back to your cave
TRUE
ThinQ before Buying 😁
lol
Local Guide copies u
The notch still kills the vibe for me
Good
Same lol it’s a disease
You can turn it off.
If you can hide it, why not just save money and NOT have a notch?
Big Boss u
U cant turn it off. It is part of the hardware and it is where the camera is at. You can only make the other sides black but that just makes it hideous.
If the v40 has a notch I'll be slightly pissed I love how my v30 has great bezels and no notch eye sore
G7 = V30 + notch - OLED
John Kawmı with better camera ,processor and audio
- battery too
Joe The Great i have the V30 anf i actually dont have any of those problems .-. its so weird that many do have screen problems tho, guess a bad batch
+SD 845
John Kawmı lg lcd better than lg oled
Still prefer the v30
Watching on my G7 ThiccQ. Actually really dope.
I like how u can hide or color customize the notch
All 2018 phones are disappointing. It is not just the LG G7. None of the phones released or to be released do anything for me that last gen didn't. Smart phone makers are running out of ideas and spec can only improve so much right now.
Justin Sherrod s9 with bigger battery and better software. Best phone ever
LG.. No, ThanQ!
You saw an opportunity and you took it. 👏
LOL thats rich
Harris Shakeel Quite clever. Comment of the month
LMAO. Claim your crown, sir. You win.
It would be funny if it wasn't copy paster from reddit.
If there was no Quad DAC, I would not have bought it even in my dreams. But just because of this, I'm getting this over oneplus 6t. I'm an audio centric person. Also manual mode in camera is a game changer. Cheers!!!😇😇😇
kashish garg why would u get this over the 6t smh
@@Ja12Grizz02 No 3.5mm jack, Qaud DAC, Expandable storage and best after sales support. That's why.
@@Ja12Grizz02 Did you not read his comment?
How is it? Thinking of upgrading to it
*Why* *notch* 😫😫😫
What is the problem with the notch, stupid people... Notch even get the phone better little more "cute" less then 1 year ago you would care about this. People are so dumb.
Rafael Nogueira you stupid if you think the notch is ok
No chin but has a notch fine. Chin and forehead still with notch hell no
They do give you an option to hide it tho, and apparently it works pretty well as just extra space for time and notifications
Yep. Asymmetrical design of industrial/machined parts coupled with shiny finish parts is soooo old school. Ugly.
Who knew the notch will turn out to be a trend
W. Kamara Njoku Sad times indeed.
W. Kamara Njoku
Blame google for tryin to save apple's ass..
First they strip pixels headphone jack like iphone, now they create android os to support shitty notch...
W. Kamara Njoku it's not a trend. It's just because Apple said what every body was thinking. It's the only real solution right now. So, Apple took the bullet because they were brave enough. Personaly I couldn't care about the botch. My wife uses the X and it's ABSOLUTELY fine. Still rocking my X3 Windows phone, so..... I'll wait to see the iPhone 9 or the Microsoft Andromeda device. Android is shite anyway. Gross OS.
Porky Pie only solution for what exactly??
iPhone x with it's notch has lower screen to body ratio than s9/+ and s8/+.
Its a passing cloud to squeeze out one extra iteration...
Watching on my LG G3
Tony's Tech I am as well!
what a coincidence me too
Watching on my lg g5
Watching on g3 too
G3 was good. G4 sucked. G5 is ok. Watching on G5. 2 G4s went through boot loop both times..
Just found my old LG G4, STILL AS SHARP AND QUICK, GREAT PHONE.
Seriously LG ?? A notch ?
seems top notch .. lol .. but I hesitate to trust LG cause of lack of updates.
the battery size is depressing and probably a deal breaker for a lot of people.
also the android market is hard stagnating. we've gotten to the point where the samsung and LG phones are nearly identical from each other as well as year to year. we're in apple territory for big flagships, where the yearly change is mostly just a camera improvement and a big jump in price.
then there's midrange phones that are all copying the iphone's design and have subpar spec with rising prices themselves.
least interesting time to be a smartphone fan since i got on board :/
Shockking21 yeah I know what you mean. I bought the Note 8 and when the s9 was released I was just like “I don’t care, it’s not a big improvement, oh what’s that a camera upgrade good for you.”
Dude hold your horses for the essential phone 2...
Shockking21 I don't think u get the point of midrange phones mate
Huawei mate 7 has the biggest battery size until now 4100
The S8 has the same battery size and is only .3" better and has amazing battery life in fact it actually beat the G6 in battery life tests. But that means LG needs to optimize the battery a lot better in order to get that kind of battery life, the SD 845 and Android oreo are suppose to be really good for battery life.
Im gonna buy it because in the commercial BTS was in it sooo....
Bella BTS FF So dumb ass
Excuse me?!
You're that easy, eh?
Girl, you all good, I subscribe to Marques, but I was looking out to see an army is here. All of BTS has iPhone, so you don't have to spend money on this phone because of them.
+Luiz Souza sorry what do you mean?
LG will never make a phone as good as the G4
Akdas my g5 is also good bea camera.
G3*
Shellyman Studios G4 crushes G3
Akdas G2 mate
Akdas my G4 had a reboot play loop which completely changed my opinion on lg they didnt fix it quickly and i had to send it in multiple times.
*I'd honestly rather take the V30 over this*
Bhavik Singh yep.
Just bought one. This video reassurew me I did the right choice.
V30 may be the last good phone from LG for awhile. The new lead for their mobiles division is horrible.
I'll be holding on to my wonderful V30, thank you!
Yeah, but it looks bad already. They were calling it the V35 at first, and now changed it to the V40.
S9 and S9+ is still on top I'm glad.
I bought it for my mom as her bday gift in 2020 awesome experience for her still in 2020
The ONLY thing that keeps me from investing in an LG device, and it really is quite a shame because every single thing apart from this is what I'd want in my smartphone in 2018, is the software. I would go for an LG device without a second thought if it just came with stock android. I have to say, the only company that does something worthwhile with putting their own skin over stock android is Samsung. And kudos to them for that. What I mean to say is that if I'm gonna go for a non stock android experience, I'm gonna go with Samsung and nobody else. And in today's time I wouldn't wish for stock android on a Samsung phone, but I would definitely suggest all other manufacturers to make the switch and stop trying with their custom skins.
Pratyush Kaushal your comment is too long. I skipped it.
Mauro d'Angelo just a personal preference, I feel the most refined experience of using android comes either with the stock version of it, or with Samsung's current skin. LG's skin looks dated and cheap, similar to miui and whatever huawei's got. I also cannot tolerate the lack of an app drawer. Yes I know LG gives the option to have one and/or you can just use a launcher, but that kinda defeats the expectation of a seamless experience with a flagship for me. Aesthetics are just as important as functionality. It's one of the reasons why I will never use an iPhone. iOS is ugly as fuck.
Jack Jaxson Okay
just install an effin launcher. is that too hard?
Jovis I don't want to have to right off the bat on a brand new phone. I have no problem in using a launcher, I do do that eventually, when I'm bored with the look of the phone and want to try different things, I end up trying a number of them for short durations, but I always like to have the original software the phone came with as a fallback, I don't want to have to use a launcher as a permanent solution.
Can someone explain me, why everyone in 2018 still sticks with 4:3 ration of pictures/sensors on smartphones. Eveyone nowadays use 16:9 monitors and TVs, phones screens ar 16:9 or wider.... and when you open the camera app, "half" of the screen is black.
The camera sensor resolution is 16 Mpx, but with 4:3 ratio, so if you want to get 16:9 picture, you will get something like 13 Mpx.
Tomáš Novotný u can do full camera in s9+ i dont know about others phones
Tomáš Novotný lg g6 has a 16:9 screen
4:3 minimizes distortions in the photo life FOV. 16:9 can be made by software but it’s cropped. 4:3 is usually the ratio of the camera sensor resolution length x height at full resolution.
Wyatt B Can you please share with me some source/article about this fact? My Galaxy S6 has a 16Mpx sensor and those 16Mpx you get with 16:9 ratio. For 4:3 ratio the max resolution is 12Mpx... it means a crop from 16Mpx 16:9 picture.
S8, S9 and many others are vice versa. Cropping 4:3 picture to get 16:9.
Tomáš Novotný, ahhhemmm, *Usually*
Do you and mr mobile time your uploads?
People are saying this phone will be forgotten about. Considering the endorsers of the LG G7 I can tell you LG are in for amazing sales and won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
what's wrong with these phone companies nowadays they all go with this notch mimicking the iPhone X , honestly i hate the iPhone X design
At least if they would actually do it fucking right, with 0 bezels, but not only do they add the notch, they keep the fucking bezels, worst kind of copy.
hamza m They don't listen to people.
aliwalyd3 lol Apple didn’t copy essential there was leaks of the iPhone X before the essential even came around
Also , with large bottom bezel..Which makes the already stupid design worse.
Vady I request those who do not have proper knowledge to keep shut. Bottom bezel is there for a reason, "not" making the phonr cost a 1000 bucks
Nice Video!! You editing is damm awesome!!
