Bulgarians are ancient Thracians-Pelasgians (Oldest ppl), according to Latin/Byzantine documents. The Asian theory is FAKE and not based on a historic fact. Bulgarian DNA is also European.
@@radokost Thank you for the nice words. Well, even professors at Universities are mostly ignorant. You have to go beyond University. There is not much new at Universities. It´s basically a repetition from Gymnasium containing re-written stuff, which is many times incorrect.
@Thracian 1). Wrong! Bulgarian culture is Thracian and Bulgarian language is based on Thracian-Pelasgian-Boharic (Among others, do read Stephen Guide regarding Boharic language, Thracian Script Decoded IV). Do you know Thracian? I don´t think so, judging from your statement.
@Thracian 2). “KAN/KHAN” is not Turkic but ancient Sumerian (Mesopotamia). There existed no Turks before Bulgarians. The word “Türk” (not ethnic) appeared for the first time just in 7th c AD and it´s Chinese “Tü-kü” (Türk) meaning “strong”. In China, Bulgarians were known as HUNS (2137 BC) and BOGANATAR. No Türks there at that time. The Chinese liked the title KHAN, so they call themselves HAN - Chinese. Sorry dude, but you sound like brain-washed, or are just a TROLL. The so called Asian Bulgarians originated from Balkans and were here 9800 years (Native). A group of Bulgarians started to conquer lands and reached Mesopotamia, Central Asia, Korea, China, Northern India, Bactra, etc…. and they returned back to Europe in around 600 AD - the origin of their homeland. The real TÜRKS were a mixture (descendants) between BULGAR-HUNS and KOREANS, and both KOREAN and so called TÜRKIC belong to same family language.
@Thracian 3). The word Bulgaria (Vulgaria in Greek) exists on Byzantine map already in 165 AD, i.e. around 500 years before there existed any “Turks”. So please, start using your brains and do the math. 4). There is not a single ancient or contemporary initial Latin/Byzantine sorce which mentions any Türkic Khans. So please do not waste my time with modern fair-tales but start reading true history instead. 5). It´s not 45% but 49% (Thracian). It´s probably higher, because they didn´t take DNA from all ppl. 49% is very high, since Bulgaria has minority ppl like Armenians, Gypsies, some Turks, and some others. Further, Bulgarian DNA has nothing to do with the Turkic.
I am from Bulgaria, this is your first video I come across. I was sceptic at first, but you really researched and put all the info well together. Well done, guys, i will subscribe, you make interesting videos!
Easy fact for Bulgaria: it is essential to know about the Bulgarian language and the other languages similar to the Bulgarian language are that they came from the Bulgarian language, because Cyril and Methodius (two Bulgarian brothers), who create the Cyrillic alphabet. And for Macedonia is this: Bulgaria has also existed since 681 and Macedonia has existed from 1994-5.
The Yogurt is a bit sour, that's why we don't call it yogurt but Sour Milk. It's delicious. The only country we have ever sold the recipe and the bacteria to is Japan. But i am not sure if they are even using it.
The funny part is that I'm Bulgarian and I didnt even know that we shake our heads to say yes and nod to say no, because me and my friends and family do it like the other nations
Our country is the only one in the whole world that haven’t lose its flag in battles. Nice to know this my friend. Our politicians think only about themselves and that’s why the population goes down every year. But if we don’t think about them, Bulgaria is just the best place in the world.❤️🇧🇬
The "pan-Slavic colors" are red, white, and blue. Russia chose those colors for their flag during the time of Peter the Great, and most other Slavic countries chose some pattern based on those three in response.
Man im a mexican living in the united states im a plumber and most of my coworkers are Bulgarian I love Bulgarians!! In fact my girlfriend which is one of my coworkers sisters is bulgarian she is beautiful I Love Bulgarian people !!!!
Answering a few of your questions: - The yogurt has a sour taste to it and its often dissolved with a bit of water and salt to make a nice summer drink. It is also the milk we use for typical bulgarian dishes, sauces and salads. The yogurt is also really popular in Japan so we have been exporting it to them in the past few years -The accent he gave isnt bulgarian. Its more russian, which is also what some bulgarians also like to put on when they want to stereotype themselves. Its not offensive, we are used to it. Its a common inside joke for us to be confused for russians while we are abroad too -Most bulgarians will tell you that they dont feel good about the roma population since the government often benefits them, rather than the rest of bulgarians. Its a reverse on America and african american people, where here romas often get away with crimes rather then get blamed for them. -The head shake is true, but we also tend to sometimes do both ways. A nod and a shake can both mean yes/no , depending on the speed, expression and noise (if any) we make. So yea, dont rely fully on the head movements for answers if you visit -We are bulgars, but also slav. Both are correct but many choose to just call themsevles either or P.S. Really nice video, keep up the good work!
Мисля, че не е проблем и пол-българите да добавим. Стават още повече. Има и неофициални данни, които са от значение. Има българи гръкомани, сърбомани и др. Македонците са общо 2 милиона, а пак са българи. Какво пра'им сега?
Yes, the bacteria will survive in the imported yogurt! 😄 You can actually use it to make your own yogurt at home! Barby did a great job explaining the mix of Slavic and Proto-Bulgar heritage, keep in mind our historians have not yet figured it out completely. Come and visit - the sights he featured are awesome and there's plenty more where those came from.
I’m Bulgarian but live in America and so when I when to visit my grandma in Bulgaria she asked me if I wanted to eat I nodded yes but he thought I meant no
Hey there, I just want to clarify the opposite nodding thing that is running around the Internet. The way that it is described is not correct. Probably its the easiest to say, but is misleading. Actually there are 4 types and that is what confuses the others. If you look straight forward and mark that head position as 0 then: - nodding vertically from 0 up and back to 0 means No; - nodding vertically from 0 down and back to 0 means Yes; - nodding horizontally at the same level as position 0 means No; - nodding horizontally, but in the same time incline the head like 11-1 o'clock and back to 0 position means Yes. In most cases you can use either of the two types of No or Yes and the horizontal Yes is the most confusing for you :)
The "Yes" and "No" thing only applies to older people. The last like 3-4 generations have been nodding for yes and shaking for no. Edit: PLEASE come and try yoghurt here yourself. Don't trust imports. We don't, you shouldn't.
Sofia means wisdom in greek. Also though Russia liberated us from the ottomans, due to 45 years of communist regime, most bulgarians now hate Russia more than Turkey. Just some extra info here. Nice videos btw! Greetings!

@Thracian You took many Bulgarians as hostages . Moreover in ancient times during the Tsardom of Balhara a lot NOMADS like you came and started to steal from us and settle down in our developed LANDS . And we are Turkish tribes like you and ETC.
@Thracian Wow you are really ignorant. Do not tell me that I don't know my history huge amount of evidence that this is related to Bulgaria today. We are not turk nomad-barbarian-tribes like you. Our language is unique. We are indo-europian civilization that developed the world like we were the first to agriculture the land, use different metals , creating new weapons foods, jewellery and many other things while your nation is from dirty bandits nomad ORIGIN. You don't have history, culture while we have and gave the humanity everything . Thracians have almost the same culture as us so we are not assimilated . In conclusion stop to talk things without understanding them!!!!
@Thracian Balhara is BULGARIAN state so shut up. We have unique language and alphabet while you are using Latin alphabet. Your nation turkey is bloody one and NOBODY likes you anywhere in the territories you annexed during you "empire years"!!!!Turkey was strong because WEST Europe haven been always supporting you because you were economical vassal to them while we managed to do everything by ourselves!!!!!!
The thing with shaking the head and nodding is even more confusing XD. I think back in the days Bulgarians probably really nodded for no and shook their head for yes. My grandmother does it strictly. But with the globalisation and all the foreign movies and stuff, we too, started to nod for yes. And now we do both. You nod for yes but you can also you shake your head in agreement. Then you nod or shake your head as a way to disagree. And it's so confusing. So you have to watch the face and determine if it's yes or no. I love my country XD
No one seems to talk about this and it seems to be out of the conversation completely, but bulgarians have thracian roots also. Thracians are one of the most ancient people in the world with amazing culture and one of the biggest golden treasures ever found made by some of the most skilled craftsmen to ever live.
Many around to we thefting our history. We taken anger with truss with Russians had bout 80% of our products while we've been Communists. Now a day thay miss it!
I love how you are confused about the yes/no thing. Actually we do nod for yes and shake our head for no but the reason I think why people think we do the opposite is that when a bulgarian asks us a question that has a yes/no answer, they usually add something close to ",right?" or ",is it.". I am actually not sure if I can really explain it so I will give an example: "There isn't any yogurt in the fridge, right?" And the other person nods, to confirm the statement. "Today is thursday, isn't it?" And because it isnt thursday, the other person shakes their head. To be honest, I have no idea if that made any sense at all but at least I tried lol. What I wanted to say is that most bulgarians dont shake their head for yes and nod for no. At least Ive never personally met any that do that.

BULGARIA 🇧🇬 ONE OF THE OLDEST EUROPEAN COUNTRY
Bulgarians are ancient Thracians-Pelasgians (Oldest ppl), according to Latin/Byzantine documents. The Asian theory is FAKE and not based on a historic fact. Bulgarian DNA is also European.
Finally someone who read more than high school textbooks... Thank you, Sir!
Nice video! 🇧🇬❤️
And remember
Macedonia is Bulgaria
❤️🇲🇰=❤️🇧🇬
I am from Bulgaria, this is your first video I come across. I was sceptic at first, but you really researched and put all the info well together. Well done, guys, i will subscribe, you make interesting videos!

I'm Bulgarian and I know there are weird things...put I still love It❤
Bulgarian king Samuil is saying in letter ,,I Samuil the BULGARIAN king..."
Easy fact for Bulgaria:
it is essential to know about the Bulgarian language and the other languages similar to the Bulgarian language are that they came from the Bulgarian language, because Cyril and Methodius (two Bulgarian brothers), who create the Cyrillic alphabet.
And for Macedonia is this:
Bulgaria has also existed since 681 and Macedonia has existed from 1994-5.
the 1st country with established borders in Europe in 681AD, Eastern Roman empire was an empire , not a country.
Im from Bulgaria!
Аз съм българин!
I'm from Bulgaria 🇧🇬
Raisko means from paradise
Our country is the only one in the whole world that haven’t lose its flag in battles. Nice to know this my friend. Our politicians think only about themselves and that’s why the population goes down every year. But if we don’t think about them, Bulgaria is just the best place in the world.❤️🇧🇬
i like that u are always positive and with smile ^^
You gotta shake enthusiastically for yes and scrunch up your nose when you nod for no otherwise it looks weird haha
БЪЛГАРИ ЮНАЦИ 🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬❤️
The "pan-Slavic colors" are red, white, and blue. Russia chose those colors for their flag during the time of Peter the Great, and most other Slavic countries chose some pattern based on those three in response.
Man im a mexican living in the united states im a plumber and most of my coworkers are Bulgarian I love Bulgarians!! In fact my girlfriend which is one of my coworkers sisters is bulgarian she is beautiful I Love Bulgarian people !!!!
It's funny how he said that he is pronouncing these correctly 😂
Bulgaria was 500 years slave to turky and some of the gratest men just set it free
Answering a few of your questions:
- The yogurt has a sour taste to it and its often dissolved with a bit of water and salt to make a nice summer drink. It is also the milk we use for typical bulgarian dishes, sauces and salads. The yogurt is also really popular in Japan so we have been exporting it to them in the past few years
-The accent he gave isnt bulgarian. Its more russian, which is also what some bulgarians also like to put on when they want to stereotype themselves. Its not offensive, we are used to it. Its a common inside joke for us to be confused for russians while we are abroad too
-Most bulgarians will tell you that they dont feel good about the roma population since the government often benefits them, rather than the rest of bulgarians. Its a reverse on America and african american people, where here romas often get away with crimes rather then get blamed for them.
-The head shake is true, but we also tend to sometimes do both ways. A nod and a shake can both mean yes/no , depending on the speed, expression and noise (if any) we make. So yea, dont rely fully on the head movements for answers if you visit
-We are bulgars, but also slav. Both are correct but many choose to just call themsevles either or
P.S. Really nice video, keep up the good work!
I am from Bulgaria and the yogurt is salty and very delicious!
Very nice video!
3:49 that sounds kinda russian
Geography Now Moldova please!
Since there are 13 more episodes until Barby gets to Romania.
Come to Bulgaria Brain, you’re going to love it, I can give you a tour if you want 😀
I don't know why everyone thinks that we shake our heads to say "yes" and nod to say "no". Actually it's the opposite.
more than 2 million are outside Bulgaria
The thing with the yes and no isn't entirely true only old people do it
I do it too xD and I'm a Bulgarian living in Germany xD
Very beautiful and underrated Country.
Romanians love Bulgaria! 🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴❤️❤️❤️🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬
The becteria in the yoghurt lives up to 3 months so if you buy it most likely it will be normal yoghurt
"Bulgaria is cavy place" :D
I live in Bulgaria and I never seen that clean cows
Photoshop, brato
Yes, the bacteria will survive in the imported yogurt! 😄 You can actually use it to make your own yogurt at home! Barby did a great job explaining the mix of Slavic and Proto-Bulgar heritage, keep in mind our historians have not yet figured it out completely. Come and visit - the sights he featured are awesome and there's plenty more where those came from.
But actually teast is different bcs the bacteria doesn't handle other climates as good that is why it is made only here
Bulgaria is the first country in Europe and the first large empire to cross three seas, but they forgot to mention it in the video
Bulgaria is not the first "country" in Europe, dude....
Wearing Adidas like a true Slav.
I am from sofia
Nice man, good work.
I’m Bulgarian but live in America and so when I when to visit my grandma in Bulgaria she asked me if I wanted to eat I nodded yes but he thought I meant no
Brian Velez Do you know that your surname is the name of the Old Slavic god Velez?
The stress on Sofia ( София ) is on the o

София
You have to come in Bulgaria and you have to see how beautiful is. :)
Hey there, I just want to clarify the opposite nodding thing that is running around the Internet. The way that it is described is not correct. Probably its the easiest to say, but is misleading.
Actually there are 4 types and that is what confuses the others.
If you look straight forward and mark that head position as 0 then:
- nodding vertically from 0 up and back to 0 means No;
- nodding vertically from 0 down and back to 0 means Yes;
- nodding horizontally at the same level as position 0 means No;
- nodding horizontally, but in the same time incline the head like 11-1 o'clock and back to 0 position means Yes.
In most cases you can use either of the two types of No or Yes and the horizontal Yes is the most confusing for you :)
Хахха, точно описание... 😂😂😂
I from USA
Базик България на три морета ай българия
Бългaрия нa три космосa :)
Note the lion shaped borders on the map.. this happens several years after creating the bulgarian currency called lion (lev = лев = лъв).
With the head shaking thing - the younger people actually do it normally, it's the older ones who do it reverse.
Който обича България да лайкне коментара!🇧🇬🇧🇬♥️♥️♥️♥️
The "Yes" and "No" thing only applies to older people. The last like 3-4 generations have been nodding for yes and shaking for no.
Edit: PLEASE come and try yoghurt here yourself. Don't trust imports. We don't, you shouldn't.
Здрасти,аз се казвам Лазар,
аз обичем Бугарска(Bulgaria)
Love from Serbia to my Slav brothers !🇷🇸❤️🇧🇬!
Благодаря братле!
FUCK YOU ENEMY! FREEDOM FOR BOSILEGRAD AND CARIBROD
Sofia means wisdom in greek. Also though Russia liberated us from the ottomans, due to 45 years of communist regime, most bulgarians now hate Russia more than Turkey. Just some extra info here. Nice videos btw! Greetings!
This video is od, now were about 6.1 million in the country
Не, не сме, от най-скорошните статистики е предвидено, че сме малко под 7 милиона (2018/2019)

Bulgarians didn't come from Asia.. We are THRACIANS.
@Thracian No we are not turks!!!!!
@Thracian You took many Bulgarians as hostages . Moreover in ancient times during the Tsardom of Balhara a lot NOMADS like you came and started to steal from us and settle down in our developed LANDS . And we are Turkish tribes like you and ETC.
@Thracian And we are not slavs too !!!!
WAIT, WHAT??? WE DON'T SHAKE OUT HEADS WITH "YES" AND NODD WITH "NO"! THAT'S A LIEEE!!!
nop its true we do it the opposite way
Many around to we thefting our history. We taken anger with truss with
Russians had bout 80% of our products while we've been Communists. Now a day thay miss it!
Brian looks a lot like Rebel Wilson when he smiles
I love how you are confused about the yes/no thing. Actually we do nod for yes and shake our head for no but the reason I think why people think we do the opposite is that when a bulgarian asks us a question that has a yes/no answer, they usually add something close to ",right?" or ",is it.". I am actually not sure if I can really explain it so I will give an example:
"There isn't any yogurt in the fridge, right?"
And the other person nods, to confirm the statement.
"Today is thursday, isn't it?"
And because it isnt thursday, the other person shakes their head.
To be honest, I have no idea if that made any sense at all but at least I tried lol. What I wanted to say is that most bulgarians dont shake their head for yes and nod for no. At least Ive never personally met any that do that.
