I've seen probably hundreds of beach wave tutorials over the years and this is by far the easiest to follow one with simple instructions and beautiful, real results. Your explanation of the process is so easy and relatable. Great job!

This is what I came to say! I like how she repeated about the finger and hand positions over and over. It really helps. 😀 Great tutorial!

Good to know! I’m here years later and this is the first one I watched and it looks just like what my hairdresser did on my new-to-me short bob. Sounds like I got lucky! Don’t plan to watch any others. My hair truly is short but can’t wait to try this!

Same here...I am so uncoordinated, especially when looking in a mirror. The hand placement instruction over and over and going slowly really helps!

This lady is so beautiful and genuine. I love how she is focused on teaching and not on getting attention for her beauty like most of the people on UA-cam. Best tutorial ever!! I wish you millions in your bank account. Now I’m off to practice this technique.

This is honestly the most HELPFUL and straightforward set of instructions for curling your hair with straighteners that I’ve ever seen. I’m absolutely hopeless with hair but I actually feel semi-confident in being able to achieve the results I want after watching this. Thank you so much!

Okay I have the worst hair for this kind of thing. Thin, doesn’t hold a curl, doesn’t cooperate...and I followed this tutorial today and it was like MAGIC. The way you describe how to curl toward the front vs the back is the best I’ve ever seen. Love that I stumbled upon this video!

Thank you!! I never learned how to do my own hair, so it's greatly appreciated when someone emphasizes what to do with their hands and walks through each step instead of fast forwarding through most of the process. This was very helpful!

I just have to say your awesome. I NEVER comment on anything but you deserved a comment. I've watched a ton of tutorials about doing beach waves and i couldn't do any. I was about to give up when I saw your video amd tried it right away. I didn't use any of the products you did just hairspray and my straightener and WOW. Perfect. I can't thank you enough. You rock!!!!

I’ve watched hours of curling with a straight iron and haven’t been able to master it! I know why now..I was trying to wrap my hair around it like a curling iron and not the half twist. Your teaching technique with the thumb/finger is amazing. I’ve got it now. Thank you. Ps. You have beautiful eyes 😁

Great tutorial!! I;m also a hairstylist, for over 30 years...she's using "Moroccan Oil"which is NOT cooking oil...Ever hear of a "Hot Oil Treatment" for damaged hair? This is an entirely different molecular composition...The Use of oil n dry hair prior to a styling is OK, it's referred to put it in the hair prior to drying and styling...
The her activates the molecular structure and does provide a little protection...You did GREAT!

Thank you! This is the best tutorial that I've found so far for waves with a flat iron. I cut my hair, that was down past my waist to just below my shoulders. I have always worn it completely straight, and wanted a completely different look, and have been trying to get the waves. I'm able to curl it but I'm getting more of a curl than a wave.
Your tutorial is a big help! I love the suggestion of finger placement on the flat iron, and doing some sections away from, and some toward, the face! And I really like where you explain how to get the piece right next to your face a little straight after you put the wave in. This will be a huge help the next time I do my hair!

Yes! Thanks for the fingers - thumb placement tip; now I’m not flipping the flat iron back & forth to see which way it goes! You don’t waste time talking, either. Thumbs up for getting to the show part and cutting down the tell. Love your steps for the beach waves.... they work for me!

Honestly the idea of explaining which way your fingers hold the straightener has been the most helpful tip I have heard so far. And in REAL time not sped up! Much appreciated. Only issue I have is that I have bangs now and it is sooo hard to figure out how to blend them in. Full fringe here, not curtain bangs that easily blend with curls. I'm excited to try this out!

You have to make sure you're turning your flat iron enough that it's still curling the whole way down and not just pulling straight through to the ends. Try to do smaller sections and when you're about half way down the hair, turn the iron around a little bit more and keep going :)

You may need to give your hair a few (5-10) seconds to set, instead of just running the flat iron through and releasing. Also, you could hairspray right after if your hair doesn't hold curl!

Vada the turtle try moving the iron through your hair on a higher heat setting and more slowly... I have the same issue and even when I'm moving really slow I can only get something at the bottom of my hair, but trust me, if you are moving the iron through your hair too quickly it won't work
