I can't stand some of these other women who blather on for 5 minutes about their personal life before showing us how to do the thing we clicked on their link to see. Much appreciated! And you seem wonderfully refreshing and not plastic. I just subcribed.

Tried this hairstyle tonight for a family dinner. It was my first attempt and was a hurry. Since this hairstyle is supposed to be a bit messy, it worked, although mine didn’t turn out as neat as yours. My husband loved it and that’s all that matters and I felt cute too hahah thank you so much to you. Will definitely try this hairstyle again for an event this weekend!

Hi Kate, just wanted to thank you for your tips and tricks. I am 70 and always wore my hair very short until a few years ago. The only way I knew to "style " my hair was a ponytail and the inverted tail. I am so glad I found your channnel! My hair is silver and curly, well sort of. It's curly when just washed and in humidity, but otherwise relaxes in bed, (just as I do), anyway I love the messy bun and it is my go to do for times when a ponytail is too casual. Thanks again

Thank you so much for this! I somehow stumbled onto your tutorial days before my wedding 4.4.2020 trying to find an approachable DIY updo for my big day. I have one daughter who has very thick hair, and the first time I really struggled to do this with her. Not only is it thick, it is heavy, and completely straight, pretty difficult to work with. I simply split it into three instead of two...I did it the same in the beginning, but instead of taking the top section and making one bun, I made a lower and upper. I still did the pull through ponytail and then rolled and pinned it up, and the smaller sections made it much easier to work with. It came out looking great! Thank you for the easy step by step explanation and demonstration!

I seem to have trouble with the top part of my hair as I don't have bangs and it (the long bang part) just hangs there on the side of my face. I am as amateur as it gets when it comes styling hair. I tried this style out on a friend of mine for a wedding. She has very long hair with long layers. It looked amazing. It truly looked like it was done at the salon. It also held up well throughout the night. She curled it first with a large barrel curling iron. It took about 15 minutes to do. I'm sorry but I can't believe every one loves these do's.! They are very messy, with bumps all over the place andthe braids are all Crooked!
please guys, go see some real tutorials where the girls actually show. you the right way to do these do's. It is almost easier to do it right and the end results are actualy
Presentable and a lot more straight and polished! There's a diference between easy messy do's and I don't give a shit I look like I don't own a brush! Sorry guys to burst your bubble! I can't believe no one actualy didn't notice anything . There's a problem somewhere!!!

Audrey Sylvain Well those perfect sprayed down dos were in in the 50's..I like the more informal hair styles..they are soft and pretty and unpretentious. Its a simpler life style with simpler hair now.

you gotta realize that unless you have hair like hers (same length, same waves, same haircut, same thickness) the bun won't look the same. it's the same as when you go to the hairdresser and show her a hairdo you saw in a magazine. will look one way on the model and totally different on you or anybody else who isnt that model

Elena Callegari Thats a fair point however I dont believe hair thickness would make that much of a differnce

I did this hairstyle for a fornal ball last night. It looked very professional, I curled and hairsprayed, then sprayed dry shampoo and all of it worked. THANKS!

Try texturizing powder. You can add as much volume without teasing :)

+Sunni Freyer teasing wrecks the hair shaft... You end up with a ton of split ends really high up your hair strands. Dry shampoos, texturing powder and mousse are a more hair-health friendly way to get that texture :)

I just tried it, I have long hair and took a bun maker for the lower part and left over two front sections which I twisted and pinned back in the buns at the end. It's gorgeous I didn't even have to tease the hair a lot. Will wear it on my mum's wedding, it's really lasting well :)

Congrats on your new baby! It's cool to hear your voice in the video. I have followed your blog for a number of months. You are great with hair and makeup. My hair is waaaay to long for this but I thought it looked elegant anyway.

That's why you make sure to spray some dry shampoo product in there. It adds volume.

I'm a bit skeptical myself since I have super fine, thin straight hair but I suppose it just may work if I do the dry shampoo and curl all my hair first with a curling iron. I'm excited to try it out! I'll post again once I do.

If you have thinking hair, start doing Collagen powder and Black Seed oil. You find that your hair will grow back.

i did this yesterday and after a long night out and a full on hangover today, it's still in! holds really well with thick curly hair - it didn't look exactly the same though because our hair textures are different, but still looked pretty good! thanks!! :)
