Cool! What kind of ink you use? Pigment?
I have been pulling my hair all day how to do this and watch so many videos and in seconds you explained it so effortlessly lol😅
From all the videos I have seen on printers and sublimation. This woman is the best of all. How she explains and take you step by step on how to do it. And much more recomend her. If you want a well explained presentation she is the one.
oh my goodness thank you so much 😊 so glad you found this helpful
Feel like I am late to this hack, but I totally love it! ❤
I waisted so much film and ink trying to do this hack. I thought the film had to be taped to the paper. That’s not true. The film is translucent so the printer can’t see it. Try just one long strip of tape in the center of the back side. It works every time!
What type of tape?
I used a regular hp inkjet printer & it worked just fine & I used a heat gun to cure it.
I'm trying it with the regular inkjet printer, with sublimation ink didn't work for me.
😮 This is amazing however you forgot to say after you print,Powder, next heat it So the Adhesive property can melt into the artwork. Then you he press it on the shirt
also, the printer won't take the paper without the tape on it making it thick enough. gonna be a lot of shirts in the trash after this one, LOL.
@JohnEastmanExAttyAtLaw it will take the film of you choose glossy photo, but she definitely left out curing the powder
Thank you for this to the point video!!!!! Going to try this thank you!
Does it work in dark fabric
How do you do it if some parts are white and your using a colored shirt
You don’t from my understanding. I have looked everywhere for this answer
Thinking the same thing. How is that even possible
That's what I needed to know too! How did she get a white beard on Santa from a sublimation printer.... I need answers 🧐
The t short is white. You have to use something whit of your design jas white I'm it to work this hack.
No se puede, las partes blancas te saldrán del color de tu playera, 😅 ahí se ven blancas porque la playera es blanca
Which paper and powder you used ma'am, hack was fabulous... kindly share with me the name of paper, powder & ink you used.
I’m totally gonna try this!
Yay!! Happy Crafting
Just curious I know you didn't mention it but did you cure the powder before applying to shirt?
Coming for the answer to this question. Did you figure out yet? Have you tried this method does it really work?
@@rebeccaarroyo4705 yes cure it ❤️
I notice u didn’t cure it did u skip this process arnt u sappose to cure it? Ja? I have done the curing method
First time seeing this method.
I thought you just use sublimation printer on sublimation paper.
I'm SO confused!
You don't have to but you have to be careful to not shift the film once it's on the shirt.
Thank you so much for this !!
Your so welcome
Thank you so much 🙏
I thought the powder was such a gimmick until I saw this. Take my money 👏😅
its truly amazing 🤩
❤beautiful, may I ask what printer do you use ? Thank you
How did you get white
why did you not have to cure the powder first?
So your saying, you don't have to heat the dtf powder?
Nice work
How long do you cure it for ? Or did you just pit it right o. The shirt
Do you have links for these?
How's the color after washing the shirt?
amazing
@@YouCanTotallyMakeThat wow! I'm gonna go try. Thank you!
Hi do you use any protective wear while using DTF powder?
At the very LEAST....
PLEASE USE A MASK THAT COVERS YOUR MOUTH AND NOSE, AS WELL AS SAFETY GOGGLES.
It is definitely not something you want to get into your lungs by breathing it in, or little specks that will undoubtedly float in the air get into your eyes, etc. I believe they recommend some type of ventilation also, but I'm not certain about that. I definitely wouldn't use the DTF Powder without mask and eyewear (w/side shields or goggles would be best).
Which machine do u have? Ive been looking and there are positive and negative reviews on the machine. So im kind of afraid to spend 2-3k for the machine.
Any issue saving the powder that falls off the film after coating print?
Great
What printer setting did you use?
Question please. are you still using sublimation ink to do the DTF?
I'm curious too 🤔
Yes
Can this be done on dark colored cotton shirts ?
No. Only light to white colored shirts. For dark shirts u will need either a white htv or sublimation htv for dark fabric.
How long and at what temp did you cure it before you pressed it?
How cool!! I hate polyester! How does it launder?
It launders really well, I have washed a couple of my shirts many times and it looks just the same as day 1.
How do you cure the powder?
So this really works?? Waw what's the powder brand please?
i did this with inkjet, didn't cure. it printed but i git residue powder i think. any resolution
Hi just wanted to ask you if it is possible to print on sublimation and heat onto, say a black tshirt?
Did you cure this first or just put it right on the shirt with the powder fresh ?
Don’t you have to cure it? How does it hold up after washing?
What kind of printer is this? Laser printer or inkjet
Hello can I size A3 in sawgrass
When sublimate with this metod, do you feel ink on tshirt or is it transfer in tshirt?... Sorry for my english 😊
What printer are you using?
How did u print white? I only have traditional cymk
You can't print white with a sublimation printer,
So white won't work with this hack
Las tintas son tintas de sublimación o tintas dtf
You make it look so easy. I printed mine put the powder on it. Shook off excess and put on tshirt. Pressed at 385 for 40 seconds but it doesn't peel off easily at all, mine sticks to shirt and makes it look awful. Do you have any idea what I may be doing wrong
Happend to me as well, did all as it said, but I used a cricut hand held press , next I'm trying with my regular press.
315 for 15 seconds try that
I did a design the other day and it peeled off, might not have been cold enough, but the colours were vibrant, I was disappointed by that though. :(
Do I need to cure it?
I thought you had to heat until crystal powder melts and then press design? Great if you don’t have to do that step.
Hey Crystal! I got some DTF powder and film and when reading the directions it says it doesn't work with sublimation ink. Does urs say that too? Should I exchange it for a different brand?
Mine does not that must be something new I would exchange
I have an epson 8550 printer and it streaked bad when printing
I just started DTF how can you tell which side gets printed on?
The matte side
What’s the temp you used
Mine will not pull off the shirt, and ruins the print
Where can i get the film and paper ?
Amazon
Wow totally skipped an important step!!
What are the names of your supplies?
what size paper is 4the tumbler wrap and wat size did u make it
can you let me know what video you are referring to so i can get you the best answer 😀
commented on the wrong vid
my bad!!
How do you prevent “pizza wheels”? Print settings?
I set my printer to best quality, matte , on my sublimation printer
From what I have seen, you have to remove the pizza wheels. They are just guides for the page as it travels through the rollers.
Forgot to tell them to heat the powder queen so they dont make the mistake of putting raw powder on the garments
How do you fix roller marks ? I’ve been trying everything and still get them
i have the same issue, have you figured it out??
Wat kind of printer 🖨 is that
My epson f170 sublimation printer keeps printing the image partially and then just pull in the film entirely and now stuck 😢
The same was happening to me with the EPSON try playing with your scale setting when you go to print. I know it sounds silly but worked for me
Mine worked. Changed the settings but got pizza wheels
How do you get the white to stand out
would this work on black shirts as well
if you layer onto of white HTV
@@YouCanTotallyMakeThatYou can also do it on some really cool lighter color Glitter HTV, and Glow in the Dark HTV, and I seen one use a Holographic HTV on a black shirt and it was SO SOOL, especially with the design she utilized!
IS IT A NORMAL PRINTER OR WHAT?
How did you print the white? Sublimation doesn't print white ink, so I'm confused.
the white is the shirt
Can you please confirm it looks white to me also. I would love to try this thanks
Is this with sublimation ink
Yes it is
I'm sorry do we have to still mirror if there is text?
Did you get an answer to the question?
I thought you have to warm it for a few seconds before putting it on the shirt. Am I wrong?
U do have to cure it
What print settings do you select on you sawgrass? Mine smears the ink all the time, can’t get it to print a large image without it smearing half of it
Did you figure this out yet? If not, hopefully she will start answering some of these questions.
@@rebeccaarroyo4705 no, not yet. I stop trying, it was a mess every time, could not figure it out.
It is so much easier and more cost effective to order DTF Transfers from somebody who has actual DTF Equipment. The results are amazing, even in dark colors and black cotton, etc. Ninja Transfers are extremely good quality. Many companies you can get no minimums. There are also quite a few independent DTF Printers that have the proper equipment and they are usually cost effective, way less frustration, less hazardous if you're not using proper PPE, and many of them have super quick turnaround times. If you use an individual or similar that has DTF Setup, you're also supporting another small business! 😊
Can I use a HP printer.?
Yes only use the color ink on thinks you don't wash like tote bags pillows etc. and blank ink will not wash out so anything goes
@@YouCanTotallyMakeThat omg oh ok thank you so much I’m going to try this
Is that sublimation ink on dtf paper
Yes
You didnt cure your powder first
sis new here😊
Good job
What kinda paper did you use?
She used DTF film
Wait you don't have to bake it before?
I have see a lot say yes it’s needed
Can it be any sublimation printer or only sawgrass
Salve la pressa a caldo che temperatura deve essere? Grazie
Any sub printer. I use et 4700
what printer is she using
Sawgrass sublimation printer
Are you using dtf ink or sublimation ink?
Sublimation Ink
how did you get the white part on your film?
@@YouCanTotallyMakeThat
You forgot the heat
Are you using sublimation ink?
That's my question as well.
If this works on darker colors I'll try it
It's still the same as sublimation on dark fabric. If the fabric is darker than the design, you won't see it.
@@sherrietrumble330For that, use a creator or company that has actual DTF Equipment that has white ink/toner. I use Ninja Transfer, and I also use an independent lady here in my local area. Very easy to work with both.
Didn't work for me printer wouldn't even take the paper!
Try putting another sheet of paper behind your film
It's a little persnickity, but I finally got it to work with the green painters tape. It's thinner
I get alot of smears
Should use the matte side of the film. Should also use sublimation ink
This is awesome. Would you please make a longer video? thanks.
Please?? Lol😊
I have been warned against this. How well do this wash?
did you figure it out? how well does it wash?
What kind of printer is this? Laser printer or inkjet
She is using a sublimation printer
What printer model did you used?
Sawgrass Sg 500
