You are so right! I've loved Lucy ever since the mid 50s when I was growing up. People couldn't get enough of Lucy then or now! She's still my (and most others) favorite female comedian.
Yes she is , I wasn’t even alive yet when Lucille passed , I was born in 1996 but growing up my mom and grandma would play the I love Lucy show and I would watch with them, she’s been my favorite comedian and actress since.
Lucy just transitioned to another realm.. She lives on... It's 2020 and we still see her and hear her... And we still laugh our heads off...! What an immense body of work she left behind... Gone but can never ever be forgotten.. I love Lucy and always will....💖💖
I remember it vividly. I was 12, spending the summer at my grandma's home in south west Georgia. Between Lucy's death and that of Keith Whitley, it was a somber mood that early May.
I just love her still.. my mom died s few months ago.. and she just adored her my mom was only six when it started the I love Lucy .. show.. I miss my mom's laughter
I was born in 96’ but grew up watching re-runs of the I love Lucy show , I wish I could’ve been alive while she was in her prime , even so I miss her! There will never be any one else like Lucille Ball!
I was 19 and will never forget the media coverage her death generated. It rivaled Princess Diana's post death week/pre funeral coverage. The world was so different then, to think, to dedicate 2 full days of news, specials and tributes to a movie / TV star! We'll never see that again. Because we'll never have another Lucille Ball.
I grew up in the 50s & 60s where all televisions always played "I Love Lucy" and she made all of America laugh! People of all ages loved her and watched her shows and movies. When I was raising my daughter in the mid to late 90s, she also fell in love with Lucy and we would sit down every evening and watch all the I Love Lucy episodes! She loved Lucy so much, I bought her a DVD set of Lucy's other shows she made without Desi and a true to life "I Love Lucy" doll! I am now 67 and I STILL love to watch all her shows & movies. She was the Queen of comedy and a wonderful actress! Everyone mourned the death of Lucille Ball and all her shows & movies were played for quite awhile...
That's is so true that broadcast was a few months , before I was born and I love Lucille Ball, here I am now 30 years later, remembering her,I always enjoy I love Lucy , may she rest in peace😢💕
“Nothing topical...... “ now THAT, is exactly what we need more of. And because a little thing called the re-run.... I guess we always will. Thank you Lucy ❤️
I balled my heart out when I heard the news of her death. I was thinking she was improving and would discharge soon. Not only did I have a big crush on her she was like a family member who baby sat me throughout my childhood. The only celebrity death where I shed numerous tears.
Dear Larry Hawkins, I think you may mean "bawled", meaning to cry bitterly.😢 So sorry Lucy's death hit you so hard : I'm sure millions of fans felt so much for Lucy : her talent was legendary. I seek her shows often on UA-cam : they never disappoint. 🇬🇧😢💕😢🇺🇲⭐
The only Celebrity I ever cried over was Beth Chapman. I felt her death at 51 was too soon. She was so courageous and really had a huge heart. She fought hard to stop Dog from smoking. It's just so unfair how things turn out sometimes 😕
I Love Lucy was and still one of my all time favorite tv shows. Lucille Ball is gone but will never be forgotten. Me and my husband thanks to his sister have all the I Love Lucy shows on DVD. We love Lucy. R. I. P Lucille Ball.
Dear Karen Smith , May I just ask you : was there an episode where Lucy was told not to look in a cupboard, her curiosity got the better of her, and she accidentally set off a self- inflating dinghy! I've been trying to track that episode down for years ! I saw it as a child, and it has stuck in my mind for about 68 years ! It was so funny, and a typical hilarious scene. Any ideas, please ? 🇺🇲💕🇬🇧⭐😊💕🇺🇲
Legend is too small of a word for this QUEEN !!! ❤️❤️ She will be remembered for many, many decades. May she rest in eternal peace for she brought so very much to the table with herself and Desi Arnaz. There will never be anything this great for a very long time. 💖
Legend is quite fitting. She was a legendary performer who has continues to transcend generations, a true pioneer. Every woman is calling herself a queen nowadays, and it's losing its luster. She was, however, a legend and pioneer.
Nobody will ever be a Lucille Ball she was one and only other kind and no matter how many generations in lifetime there's only one Lucille Ball .....Rip Lucille Ball we all loved you n always will
I am French and 58 y. Old and I Love Lucy is my favorite show for many years and still will be forever. I also like Lucy show but not as much as i love lucy because the chemistry between these 4 characters was simply TOP, without forgotten little Ricky, so adorable. 🥰

Tim M. There is no comparison between Lucy and any of the people you have mentioned. She brought laughter and joy into our homes worldwide. She was a natural... A classic comedienne.. And unforgettable...
I loved I love lucy, the lucy show, and here's lucy. All of her series touched my soul in a special way. Even the cancelled series life with lucy. She made me laugh and seeing this makes me sad that I was not born during when she was alive. Seeing her as a guest on Dick van Dyke and guest and on the Flip Wilson show. And Carol Burnett. At least we have her movies and series and biographies to remember her by.
I love Lucy is my 14 year old son's favorite comedy! We watch it often. When he found out she had long passed away, he was sad. I pray she's enjoying eternity with the Lord.
That is so nice that you introduced him to I Love Lucy. When my kids were little I got a set of some DVDs-- of the oldest classical cartoons ie, Popeye, Little Lulu, Casper, Tom and Jerry, just to name a few. SO much better than the newer cartoons. At least we have our DVDs!!
There will never be another comedian like Lucy. Her shows always where clean and so hilarious. She is missed greatly. What a darling women she was. RIP dear Lucy. We miss you.

I was stationed in Okinawa(Japan) and saw a scene from "The Lucy Show"(1962-1967) where she was shouting hysterically again and again " 下さい" (kudasai= please; like in "please give me a hand "in Japanese, I didn't get the rest as she was speaking too fast for me, and had her left hand grabbing Viv's right wrist, right hand grabbing grabbing Viv's other wrist, moving Viv's arms to and fro Viv's body, no subtitles but EVERYONE in the TV room was laughing. I miss her so. May God bless the woman who brought Lucille Ball into this world!

My late dear Mom was the greatest admirer of Lucille ball, her Lucy show made my Mom hysterical & deep emotional enjoy, though my Mom doesn't understand single English language. But some how Lucille ball antics made my Mom happy. Rip. Lucille ball.

She was a genius and a legend. Nobody does it better.
She would have been 109 this year. Wish she could have still been around.
Considering that she smoked like a chimney it's surprising that she lived as long as she did....
I grew up watching I Love Lucy. There was no one like her. The sad thing is she died on my birthday.
My best friend was born on her birthday in 1953.👍🙂♥️
The day Lucy passed away was also Carol Burnett's birthday. They had a very close friendship.

Such an amazing woman, She will never be replaced!
It's hard enough to say goodbye. Real hard enough.
She also worked with Abbott & Costello on Radio and with Lou Costello in one film in"A&C In Hollywood"..she also worked with Laurel & Hardy on radio.
As for the volume dragging that's mostly likely due to the tape wear and or dirty heads.
I remember when Dinah Shore did a commercial for Holly Farms Chicken.
