I just got the new yamaha DXS12MK2's and I am very very impressed. These things are amazing. Lightweight, portable and hit like 15's. Cant imagine how the 18's mus sound!! Definitely check for cracks in your houses foundation! lol.. Also, gotta love the 7 year warranty on yamaha speakers.
I’m wondering if these are the ones that will finally give the yorkville ls801 a battle. On another note my rcf 8003mk2 limit early but can be pushed way beyond that.
These subs are amazing! Any idea how they compare to the EV ETX-18sp? On paper the EV's go even lower but they're specs can be misleading, especially with not giving RMS numbers.
Do you find the subwoofer begins to distort before the limit light starts to show? On my dxs18xlf when I get close to limit I find that the woofer starts to sound like its being over driven and distorting. Also, what EQ curve do you use on yours? Or do you just enable it but leave it flat?
The peavey is limiting before the Yamaha and I’m not sure how long the peavey warranty is but Yamaha is 7 years. If peavey can top that I would buy them
Gud day sir, how's ur dxs18xlf today, do you still like it? .. I have mine week ago 1 unit and i return it to the store for replacement, cause the unit never turning on, I've check the cord, power supply its all good except the unit, i used it 3 times since its come to my hand at 4hrs minimum to 6hrs maximum continues playing music at a time and they work great,, and the next day when i plug it in and turn the switch on and found out they have no power at all, the indicator light and lcd at a back still out of light, i switch on and off repeatedly and once, the power indicator light is on for a second then back to off again since then it never on again,,, do you experience it sir? After returning to the store and found out thru the staff and told me that they have another customer same problem as mine,, I'm bit nervous to own this thing since it is expensive equipment to me,... My low end ts318s still in good condition 1 yr on my hand w/o any problem. How come it is happened to this unit, all care i've done to all my sound gear. I hope it's a coincidence problem not a common issue of this unit... By the way god bless sir and forgive my poor language from 🇵🇭...
dondon music lover wow sorry to hear that bro! Mine are still banging! I just had a huge party Sunday and played them from 2pm until 10pm and had no issues. Were yours new?
@@leejones1214 yes sir it's a brand new in my hand, i'm glad to hear that, i assumed that what happened to my dxs18xlf is a coincidence o factory faulty which sometime it happened,, the replacement is coming soon as the staff of the store told me, i hope the replacement is in perfect condition si that it won't happen again,,, tnx sir.
@@leejones1214 may i ask one question sir, I use Automatic Voltage Regulator 1.5k watts 220v output to distribute AC power to my sound gear, sense dxs18xlf has 180wats power consumption at 220v, and my two tops QSC CP12 which has 90wats each, and alto ts318s I'm not sure how many watts power consumption it is,, me i ask your advice if it is ok sir to run them to those avr mentioned above,,, and my mixer and audio source etc. Which i run separately but the same AC line socket whith 20amph breaker,,.. Sorry to bother you sir i hope you help this one...
dondon music lover I would definitely get a bigger AVR at least 3000 or higher. You can use what you have now but you can’t add any additional equipment and you run the risk of failure!
The guy at Guitar Center and I both heard two JBL VRX subs playing and the Yamaha is just more powerful and has a cleaner sound. Crisp bass that can also drop extremely low and hit every beat. Never heard anything like this Yamaha DXS18XLF.
DJPOPA AL bro one 15 beat two 18s really. I have a garage full of peavey speakers and I do like them but Yamaha has better sound quality at higher volumes and will not limit as fast as most speakers.
DJPOPA AL just saw that. I’m curious now, got to head to the store for a demo. I have at least 15 peavey speakers from powered to the old 18s and they still jam at my outside gigs. Will see how these sound and I may be doing another video. As long as they don’t limit quick and get hot I’m all in. Will post after a demo.
DJPOPA AL bro I’m very ready to hear them, getting ready to head to the store now. If they are as good as I’ve read I will have two by Friday. I love building walls with speakers but it’s even better when you don’t need an Amp.
Can’t wait to get mine. I have the Yamaha DZR 15.

I have the DRZ 15 which I love. I just ordered the 18XLF yesterday. Do you have and updated videos?

What did you set the eq to? You just turned it on, or did you actually set the frequencies?
Cool voice
Hello, Which one sounds louder and more punchy for techno music, a RCF 8004-AS or a Yamaha DSX18XLF? Thank you.

Ben Smith never experienced that and I twerk the gain only on the eq depending on room size

Lee Jones So you compared them to the Peavey RBN 215’s?

Have you tested QSC KS118? I am Between these and new qsc QSC KS118
mikelo303 the new qsc is legit I like it but it’s very much like the Yamaha
Is there any difference sound wise between the DXS18 vs the DXS18XLF?
Yes more punch and very deep bass in the XLF
