I bought one a few days ago. It's worth noting there's a second built-in mic after you remove the detachable mic which sounds much better - though it picks up a lot of ambient noise. Another point that a lot of people have asked me about is wether you can connect via Bluetooth and talk on chat (discord,Skype etc)while gaming using the wireless 2.4, and I can't seem to. That's a big point for some users as they play cross platform games and want to chat privately with friends. The Xbox version lets you, but it doesn't have haptics. Other than that I'm really loving them!
Oh yeah, I totally forgot to mention the built-in mic. I experimented with it but it was so underwhelming I guess I didn't even bother to write it into the script 😅 I know it sounded significantly worse to me without any tweaking than the detachable mic though. That's an interesting point about the Bluetooth and 2.4 going at the same time. I never really thought about it because I only ever stream and game on PC. If it is a feature the Xbox version had that this one doesn't then I can see that definitely being a big deal to a bunch of people. I'll have to remember to see things from a cross-platform perspective more the next time I review something like this. Appreciate your input!
I’m a bass head, so the haptics sound fantastic. My Skullcandy crushers kicked the bucket and I’m looking into streaming, so these seem like a good fit 😸
I'm confused by the comment of stating that you don't need any apps? In fact there are TWO apps! One is similar to the chroma program and the second is what you actually need to customize and pick your sounds and EQ settings. Every home is built differently... Some people have more furniture than others... Some have their setups really close and others have at a distance... So both apps are definitely necessary in order for you to adjust what EQs are best for you. You do not adjust these with your PC. All you do is download both apps and the adjustments are afterwards saved on your headset. Mine sounded perfectly fine and some people prefer the second mic to the first mic. You could have done a comparison using the secondary mic to see what sounded better. Just my two cents.
I have this headset. Came across this video because I wanted to compare mic audio to Sony Inzone H9 mic. It doesn't seem like it's worth the money to my hard-of-hearing eyes. Lol
I have pretty huge ears lol. But works great for me. I’ve been using them since last year December and I have no complaints. Friends in game and even calls on my phone for business say the mic sounds as if I’m on the phone. I love this headset.!!!
That's reassuring to know, lol. Didn't have the same good experience with the mic as you can hear from the testing, and Razer told me that they've heard similar complaints about it from other reviewers. Maybe you just got lucky with yours 🤔
Appreciate it! I honestly have no idea whether you'd be able to plug a different mic into the port on the headset. I know there are physical restrictions, like the mic and port having flat parts on one side which would make plugging in a different mic almost impossible. I wouldn't be surprised if they also block/hinder other mics via software.
I think I will get razer the mic at least clear voice also the sound great with the hepatic feature I think I will love it most of my games are action adventure and fighting 👍👍👍
I'm a bit cautious because I previously has the razer kraken v3 hypersense and it would not stop that mechanical noise, so if the haptics are on, there are no mechanical screeches? and how loud is it? - replied earlier...
I have the logitech g pro x wired, but i just found out about haptics on headset now i want this, would you say this would be an upgrade or... I play on ps5 btw i can configure the g pro x on pc and i saves the settings on the dac but its annoying and there are no profiles to download for ps5
The G PRO X is very solid, I don't think going for the Kaira would be an upgrade even if you want wireless and the haptics. I suspect it would be more like a "side grade".
It always feels weird not to use every part of what you're buying, but honestly I think if you have a good mic already and want to experience those haptics then I personally think it's worth it.
You know I do it exclusively for you, right? Even if it's a bad shot I have to include at least one with a cat in the video 😂 Actually, I think there might be another sneaky cat in another shot in the vid, lol.
I only really noticed it when the haptics were off, and there was no sound playing. It's not super annoying like you'd get used to it, but it is there if you move your head a lot.
@@TheTechTank I'm a bit cautious because I previously has the razer kraken v3 hypersense and it would not stop that mechanical noise, so if the haptics are on, there are no mechanical screeches? and how loud is it?
Sorry, didn't catch this reply. I think if the noise on the Hypersense bothered you that much, then you're probably better off going for a headset with no haptics... On or off, you're going to kind of hear/feel the motors moving. It's not screechy or anything like that, just the muffled sound of the mechanics moving.
I want to get a PC. I have a ps5. I don’t know anything about the pc world Where and what is a good pc that would out perform a ps5. I can’t build one I don’t know enough about them to do so. But I could buy one if I could find a place that sells them or a person that builds them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
If you want to give PC gaming a try I don't think you'll be disappointed - jumped ship after the PS3 and never looked back, lol. As for where to buy one, that's going to depend on your location - don't think my local PC shop here in South Africa's going to help 😂
@@miked6097 There are a bunch of online stores in the US that sell prebuilt systems, and more than a couple here in SA too. Wherever you're located, I'm sure there are reputable sellers if you check online. As for where to start, get a budget, check what systems fall into that budget, and then find a review or two for the CPU and GPU in those systems and go from there. Or give me your budget and I'll suggest a CPU and GPU for you then you just need to find a prebuilt with those parts.
@@miked6097 Born and raised here, so 30 years, lol. That's a great budget for a gaming PC, for that budget you should be getting a near top-of-the-range system. In the meantime, check for systems that include an RTX 3080 GPU or better, and either a core i7-12700K or Ryzen 7 5800X/5800X3D CPU.

all i'm noticing in the mic test is that the trade off is poor mic quality for wireless convenience

wow that comparison around 14:45 was very painful, not going to buy this mic, thanks for the awesome info dude

It this good for rainbow six siege?
Kaira pro or Steelseries arctis nova 7? I’m a PS5 user
Never tested the Nova 7, but Steelseries makes good headsets.

GSP 670 is 50 bucks cheaper 8 months later. $150 vs $200 for the Kaira Pro.
GSP 670 all the way for that price.

There's an Xbox-specific version that would work much better.
@@TheTechTank Yes, but i have both ps5 and xbox series x.
I don't own either, so I can't say for sure, but as far as I know the Xbox has some issues with third party peripherals.

I actually like the contrast, but I do think an all-white version would look DOPE, especially with the RGB logos.
That mic is actually bad… like damn…

I saw another review and it mentioned the audio is quite bad, I don't get why here is mentioned the audio is good
It's most likely because audio is by its very nature very subjective. Not every reviewer is going to agree on the audio quality of any audio hardware.
